wow a lot of really great information here. Its great you sorted out the bearing issue. So we now get a professional built Axial flux turbine with warranty for a real price. Good news. Thank you

I give you guys a lot of credit for always trying to improve your product. Most companies out there invest then sell till they make a big profit before improving. You guys go all out to bring the customer a quality product. Hope you got your patent pending Jeff... LOL. There are those watching this video that would steal it in a minute. Take care and great job. Thanks for the video.

Those guys have put there heart and sole into the Air Boss axial flux wind turbine and i'am just glad those guys choose me to be a part of it.

MissouriWindandSolar Yes you are, and they are lucky to be dealing with a honest man. Which is hard to come by nowadays.

That's a trailer hub w/spindle,good bearings for what it's being used for, flat bearings are for something with no twisting forces!

Hi Guys, great video, Like the subject of the AFG and have been followinf quiet a bunch of vids on building. Unfortunatly all the projects are in prototype stage or like some say "garage projects". Seems to me that there is a lot of future in this design and lot´s of people are in need of serious power. By that I mean it´s time to take that design out of the garage and to the next stage and get a production model going, because many people don´t have the skills/tools to built one by their own. So it will not be enough to have some guys building these AFGs in there garage to come up with decent production Nº. This requires a different set up.
So I shure agree You are on the right track to take the AFG to the next level and get a production model going. That will improve quality and bring the price down and make it more accesable for others.
I love seeing You getting involved in tool design and it looks very good. Being involved in tool design I recomand You get all the info You can get on that subject. That will enable You to adapt/change Your idears acc. to needs....and fast.
Do some research on RAPID PROTOTYPING technics and materials. This is also a beautifull and interesting science but most of all it will bring down Your costs. Subcontracting production tools up road is expensive. These technics will help You to find the cheapest method for the purpose and desired production Nº. .....more revolutions to the evolution
    Good Luck on the Odyssey

I have also build my own axial flux generator. It is almost finished. I have had some electricity production by spinning it with my hands I got 4,5V and 0,5A at low RPM ofcourse. The stator mold was'nt perfect since it has some air bubbles in the resin and some resin leaked away from my mold but the coils are completly molded and it did it's job. Now I'm going to poor resin over my magnet rotors to make them water proof. And the turbine blades I'm also working on. Then it's ready to go outside and make some windpower. It's going to be VAWT turbine. For HAWT turbines I prever to use radial flux generators which I also made earlyer on.

I now understand the difference between the air boss turbines and the other ones made like that. they have taken a lot of steps in the right directions to be sure their turbines are designed right, where the others just send you the parts and you have to figure it out. those should be amazing turbines. what is the price range going to be on these?

I saw the air boss install and it was pretty tall for the windmill. It was neat to see that set up and it is cool that you used what you had on hand to make it work. Are the windmills maintenance free? Those mold parts look really strong and I really do want one of those Air Boss. Would it help if the spinner cover was more aerodynamic like on an aircraft?

Looks like the Air Boss is a Kiss copy of Hugh Piggot's / Other power axial flux wind turbines..
Wooden blades/ All threads to hold things together. An improvement, but still crude.
I have found that the stator is very time consuming to manufacture.
I use a 13.4 ft. tip dia. and it produces 40 amps at 48+ volts. It folds at that point.

Airboss generators seems to be costly compared to your pmg generators, does your generator support helical vertical fans?

    • @MissouriWindandSolar
      @MissouriWindandSolar  7 років тому

Yes they are costly and we decided not to sell them. Yes our PMG would work on a Vawt.

+SQUAREHEAD The guy that makes the Genesis does them from his home and there is no consistency to them at all.
The Air Boss is not being manufactured by anyone at this time. The guy that says he has them doesn't.
