seems a lot easier than what I did some years ago!
I used normal foam, that I cut with a hot wire foam cutter. To do a good job (it was for a client), I made negative cardboard templates and had to spray the top of the foam with "Plasti-Dip" to give it some strenght. It turned out well, but was a hell of a job.
Next time I'll be more clever 😉

Is it really $200 USD for 2 sheets to fit that 42"x20" case? Or is it going to cost more since the sheets sold only go to a thickness of 2.75" and a guitar case is close to 5" deep?
sx medium sheets on our website - www.shadowfoam.com - is far less than 200 dollars
I can see how you can make these for power tools but what about making a foam insert for glass items to pretect them from breakage? I have 3 glass separatory funnels I use in my work as a distiller and I would like to have a perfect form fitting case (wood case) with the foam insert covered with velvet fabric for the separatory funnel to fit perfectly and be protected from being broken. How is this done?
We’ve had some projects sent to us from customers who have used foam for delicate glass items! My only advice would be to wrap the scalpel in masking tape to avoid scratching the glass item as you go around it!
Electric Carving knives made for carving meat, are awesome at cutting foam.

Can you do something with Lego? For instance, I have the Statue of Liberty (Lego Architecture) and would love this in a Shadowfoam frame.

Looks smaht 😅 also that foam is amazing I had a piece that came with my drone I tried melting it down in acetone can u guess what happen 😅
Also I think when u spray ur glue u should spray on the top layer underside just incase u do cut threw the hole thing the glue won’t be on the bottom of ur tools bed 😅if that makes sense

@@ShadowFoam it didn’t melt usually u put the foam in the acetone n it melts down or maybe it isn’t the same thing but seeing the layers in ur material I concluded. I’m not too sure
what did the other half do wrong to not be used?
Considered doing a logo or hand tools but we thought we’d wait for comments like yours to see if people wanted to see us do that!

There might also be a weight issue. I doubt those handles are built carry that much.
@@spenny6222 maybe. But thats not the point. Would be cool if you had your hamer, screwdriver and stuff like that there. I think Banderas didnt think about weight issues in the movie
@@Svenne1981 But this is real life, not a movie. You won't look cool for long if the handles break and your livelihood ends up all over the floor. Just being practical.

So £30 for the case and about £300 for the foam ? 😱
Haha you’d be getting a butt load of foam if you spent 300 quid
2 off 2inch x 20inch x 45inch = £114
1 off 2.75inch x 20inch x 45inch = £84
VAT = £39
TOTAL = £237
So although not £300 its still really expensive at £237. Really wish the foam was a lot cheaper 😢
@@lllANIMALlll you could get it cheaper by buying one of our set sizes (like Medium sheets) and cutting them down by hand 👍
Pretty sure he’s trying to prove the versatility and usability of Shadowfoam not the cost. Try doing something like this with another brand of foam, we’ll wait 😂

Medium size does not fit on a guitar case I bought it for mine n it’s was way to small
What do you mean by medium size? Did you measure case before selected foam to buy? Do you mean medium thickness?
Organization isn’t cheap! $290 US plus shipping. This case beckons thieves to steal the guitar. A less obscure case like a hard shell suitcase would go unnoticed.
Great point made about the case, I think we just wanted to pick a really visual case to make this point! 👍
