  • 1:00pm - Windsor Fire Crews were on scene in the 1300 Block of Lincoln Rd for a 3rd Alarm structure fire. Defensive & Ariel operations. Heavy smoke is in the area. Essex-WindsorEMS & Windsor Police assisting. Damage is $800,000. No injuries. Unable to determine cause due to unsafe building conditions.

    I have never seen FF in shorts and SCBAs before! It's just wrong!

      @@virgilhilts3924 if you're wearing SCBAs you really need to be in full gear. I do understand the heat stress issues but wearing partial gear sends a bad message to junior personnel that it's okay to be lax in how you dress for the response. I see far too many FF not wearing PPE when they should be, and I see lots of injuries happening. I've been in fires on 110 F days, and I've worked in engine rooms in 125 F days, so I know from heat
