There's finally someone posting videos about making tools that are actually useful. I can't tell you how many I have watched that are not only useless, they are some of the dumbest ideas I have ever seen. (In my opinion of course)
How long of threaded rod and how much did you bend ? And my guess is those are 1 1/4" round magnets correct ? Great build. Am planning on making one or two as soon as I get the supplies and dimensions for the threaded rod length and bend !!! Thank you for a great video !!!
The rod was about 14” and bent about two. The bend can be as long as you’d like. As long as the tip of the bend is flush with the magnets or no more than about 1/4” or less pass the magnets/base. I hope that makes sense. The magnets are 1 1/4” and the rod was 3/8”. Thank you for watching.
@@axcreates_official Thanks for the quick response, which brand would you recommend and how much the price would be nice. We have in Iraq there are bad Chinese brands. I learn from you and your work impressed me, but I do not have the equipment that you work with and I try to buy a part of it. Greetings to you ❤️
Hello AX, my inspiration and master engineer! That hand number 3 is awesome good and well thought out. Just a silly question, how do you come up with these designs/ideas?? How did you get to this point - experience, luck, education or a mix of all? I wish I could like all your projects a thousand times each. And thank you so much for putting your gifted hand for public consumption.
Thank you for your comment👍. Experience working with hand tools, saving by making own tools, making existing tools and ideas better, ingenuity, and creativity, sometimes with limited resources. Thank you for your support.
Nothing was galvanized. The clamp was polished steel. The only thing coated was the threaded rod and the 1/4 bolt. If you’re referring to the finished color, it was painted finished chrome and that’s why it looks like galvanized. Plus I wear a respirator every time I weld or use the grinder. You can weld on galvanized as long as you clean it down to bare metal before welding and you wear the adequate protection. Which you should anytime you weld, cut, or grind. Thanks for your feed back.
