Great video! Really good information about the saddlem seat ❤
And thanks for awesome videos! Mrs Jess! 🧋🧋
You're gonna love it Jess and that backrest IS a game changer. Happy to be a part of your journey.
I've never had a saddlemen, but it looks super comfy! I also like the fact that you show us everything is not always perfect, like showing up at the BMV and walking away empty handed.
This video was awesome Jess ...Do more of these please ! and a follow up on this one would be cool!
Another great video Jess, Keep up the good work.
I love how you show that your just a normal person we all can relate to and not al rich andl fancy like so many other UA-camrs. Love your Honda and love your content
Here's a thought on your backrest -- you probably need a mounting bracket for it. I just got a H-D backrest for my standard Road Glide, and (with the backrest I got) I also had to buy and install a separate mounting bracket. The bracket mounts solidly to the frame, and the metal part of the backrest (the "post" that you installed on the backrest) fits inside the bracket. In my case the bracket is adjustable front-to-back, and the various notches in the bottom of the backrest post will adjust the height of the backrest. You may need to contact Saddlemen for a bracket that is made for their backrest. Good Luck!
The bracket is made directly into the road sofa seat.
Saddlemen doesn't use the backrest bracket, it's all built in, and they blow the harley seats outa the water once broken in.
John it’s built into the seat, and it has the same adjustments. I had a Harley-Davidson seat with a back rest, so I do understand what you’re stating. However the Saddlemen Roadsofa has a built in bracket for their back rest too. Provides superior comfort, and craftsmanship. Their customer service are quick to resolve issues that my arise too.

For me, the Mustang tour seat blows the competition away on comfort. I bought a Road Sofa seat last year for my 21 RG and for me it was more for look’s than comfort. I wished i had sat on the Mustang tour seat before I purchased it.
OMG!! You had me in stitches!! Please do more vids like this.
Thanks for the video Jess. Great looking seat.
I thoroughly enjoyed your insight on the Saddlemen seats. I too own a Roadsofa (Carbon Fiber style), and it’s a great seat. I believe you’ll enjoy the comfort as you ride. Also, I like this type of blog too…thank you😊
"her TWO wheels you're not gonna grow if you" had me laughing pretty good. I'm not sure I'm done with winter riding yet lol. That road sofa looks mighty comfortable, and I might be a little jealous of that back rest!
Jess, you are going to love that seat!
Yup keep these kind of videos coming!! Good stuff!!
Fair to say this is your most quotable video so far. 😅😂🤣
Love it!! 🤙🏼
What ever, when ever you post anything, I will always watch and give you big thumbs up man. Your hilarious and very watchable!🤙
Keep up the happy videos and to the hell with them short videos!!! Keep doing you Jess and grow your channel like you've always done not like someone else thinks you need to grow!!! You know it's really hard breaking in a new seat lots of short 50-75mi trips little day trips to break in a seat or they will break you in and make you where you don't want to ride anymore and like you found out about the tailbone it's HELL trying to ride with a bruised tailbone
I love the brown and thank you for sharing the valuable information about settlement seats
Liking the vlog style, it’s different yet still relevant. I say keep going!
Love this type of video! Cracked me up quite a few times! 😍😍😍
Jess, we watch you for you, I don’t care what your doing, I am with you all the way, just keep doing you, love your content 🌹
Seeing your reaction to the cold weather and snow reminded me of ME when I used to live in Michigan.. I grew up in South FL, too hot!, lived in MI for 16 years, too cold!! Now live in central NC and it's just right all year.. gets hot in summer but not too bad and gets cold in the winter but not prohibitively and it snows maybe once possibly twice a year. The fall is still beautiful with the colors and you get all the seasons but you can ride almost all year.
Love going her four wheels!!!!😂😂😂😂. Love the new seat!!! They’re out of stock for my Street Glide!!!!😩😩😩😩😩 I loved this blog by the way!!! Ride safe Jess!! Yip!!! Yip!!!!!
I have the heated saddleman road sofa. That thing is a must for us cold weather riders. (Wisconsin). After the break-in period, this is the best seat made for motorcycles...in my opinion. Love your show.
I’ve said this a dozen times the reason I’m a supporter is we have the same miserable weather pattern. 😢But this is what we do in the winter. UPGRADES! 🎉
Hey Jess nice seat you going to love that back rest you want get near as tired with that set up enjoy
Love these and any other video you put out...if your looking for ideas on content, I'd love to hear more about your rain setup...especially after seeing your trip out west videos, lol
Keep it up! If I ever need a new seat, i will look at the saddlemen lineup. Currently use the HD CVO Gel insert, so far so good.
I enjoy your channel. As a fifty year rider I find it interesting how MC riders tend to think alike. Like yourself I tend to ride alone with my ultraglide for long rides. For cruising around the backroads here in Northern VA and WVA I love my Royal Enfield (bought when my HD was down for the spring and summer awaiting a part). Your description of the Enfield is spot on - Nimble and fun.
As Iconic as the step-up is for Appa, the new road sofa looks to fit him well.
Killer video keep up the good work Love what you do Jess. You're awesome.
Jess your gonna love that back rest!
Can’t wait to hear a long term review on the road sofa as I’m looking at adding it to my road king. The backrest is a must I added the adjustable Harley back rest and wow what a game changer..
Enjoyed the video, the way you presented yourself in the video was funny and entertaining. Be happy to watch more. Great looking seat!
I keep going through these as I just discovered this channel a couple of weeks ago.
I can now comfortably say that this is a top 3 bike channel for me if not numero uno.
Too many bike channels are trying so hard to be tough guy /look at me biker boys and that’s just not reality.
You laugh at yourself and don’t mind showing the wrong turns that we all make in this hobby.
Love it all 🤘🏻
Always enjoy your videos and since now you have the winter weather be nice to see how your getting your bikes ready for next year,
Ps hello from Ireland 🇮🇪
Rain and frosty here some days really strong wind blowing 😒
Gotta say. Loved this video. Loved the style. Thanks
Great video, Jess. Thanks for sharing your experience on riding. Referring to the suspension, I love your total honesty. "Hey You Rock"
Ride Safe 😎
Love it! Keep doing what you do and always look forward to your content.
Great video , congratulations on the new seat , hope it will be more comfortable, so important when you are crushing those miles , keep up the great work 😎👍
Love the content today, great job learning us about suspension and seats
Hahaha I actually really loved enjoyed this video! And we all put things in our mouth when we are working on our motorcycles 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
Great video as always, just crack me up sometimes..lol, thanks for that 🙂
Very much looking forward to your adventures with the Himalayan! I've been looking at them as something for the PA winter season. My local dealer always has Himalayans in stock, so I might go test ride one!
Jess another awesome video lol your right now two trips ever 😂😂 have fun from your Michigan neighbor
This was really funny! “I’m a professional “, made my day! Ride safe, have fun! Oh, and great to see Iroh on the channel.
Great comparison, side-by-side, between the Step Up and the Road Sofa. Both are awesome seats, but are for different purposes. It's great to have both options!
HI! I will use the 2 step up for short rides and the sofa for longer rides. Both seats are awesome , I have the 2 step up on my road glide.Love your channel, have been watching your channel from the beginning. Keep it up.
Appreciate that Adolfo!
Jess, I like the vlog, even on four wheels. I personally had a huge change on my previous BMW GS when I got a secondhand Sargent seat, which didn’t look very comfy, but put simply it made the seat into a large pan that cupped the whole behind and therefore spread the weight across the entire backside and made for a much more comfortable riding experience. I have not heard of Saddlemen seats for GS’s, but your new Sofa looks like it is going to do the same as the Sargent by supporting more of your bottom. Enjoy.
Great video and info. I have been thinking going with the road sofa for my road glide. I would like to see you do a review and your opinion on the seat. When you get it broken in. Keep up the good work. I enjoy seeing our content.
I have had saddlemen road sofa extended reach with backrest seats on my last 5 Harley Davidson Touring bikes and have ridden over 175,000 on them. I agree with everything you said regarding break in times and the build quality. I have literally owned 99 motorcycles in the last fifty years of riding and have tried many custom seats and the only ones I have purchased multiple times are the Saddleman Road Sofa Extended Reach with backrest and the Russel Day long seats. The Russel looks like a couple vintage tractor seats grafted on to a Harley. So saddleman wins again. I liked todays video format and I would think it would go over well during bad weather for you. Let’s see some install videos on Appa’s new parts!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Installed that saddle the day before heading from Westerville, OH to Four Corners on my Sport Glide. No issues!!!
Good video. Snow is flying as i type this, here in western PA. Time for winter mods. Wanting to send out my electra glide stock seat and have it customized. Im 6'4" and need a little more room and they dont make a tallboy seat for my 87.
got mine road sofa end of October. Unfortunately I'm in the same situation like you. Detroit and it's already winter. Had only a chance to check it out for a quick ride and it feels good. Bit higher as stock and also the backrest needs to get adjusted for the most comfy position. But I think we made the right decision. Can't wait for the next riding season, can't wait....
I have a heated roadsofa with the backrest. Took quite a bit of time to break in, but I love it now.
This is one of the best videos you've made, please do more like this.... for me personally, I love when It feels so genuine and simple.... congratulations for the gorgeous new seat and will wait your opinion about it after testing it. 😊
Good Evening Beautiful Jess and you just keep do you and this video was awesome and great job and it is cold down here in western North Carolina too
I have several seats on the rack for my Street Glide. the one on the bike depends on what riding I am doing at the time, the longer the trip the cushier the seat ( I'm old and my butt has gotten boney over the years) It only takes 30 seconds to swap em out. Keep up the good work.
You know why I watch? Because I frikin like you 😂Loved this video.
Keep doing these dailyvlogs, i really enjoy them :)
Great video, love this style. I feel ya on them groceries lol.😂
I like your down to earth girl next door style videos and not selling your skin for views. God bless from a fellow rider!
lol had to watch this again ! was too much fun
That new seat looks comfy as hell. As far as the style of video, I wouldn't mind seeing this kinda vid on your channel. It's still got motorcycles so no biggie :D
Real Nice seat! Looks Great! Must be comfy
loving the new seat
Thanks for the video jess I love the new content and the seat looks great ok talk to you later bye
Fun video to watch. It’s winter so mods and upgrades it is, with a touch of life.
Nice upgrade on the seat. The backrest is going to be key. Loved your video. Always fun to watch.
Carry on Jess .
Rapper
Adding a backrest is definitely a game changer for being able to ride longer. I think there is more adjustment to the back to bring it forward more to help with your reach. Sometimes got to go with comfort over looks to make life better.
Always appreciate your content Jess! This vlog was dope as normal. If you haven’t seen it yet there is a good documentary filmed in the Himalayans with enfiels…….can’t remember the name but I’m sure someone will mention it lol
I think it would be a good add. Can't do much motorcycle riding in our neck of the woods in the winter.
As nice as that new seat is. The real star of the video was that fancy dancy parking sign on your wall. Joking of course. Great video Jess and I look forward to see what Appa gets next.
You've seen that seen on so many bikes becuase it's amazing! I have the road sofa on my street glide and I LOVE it! I don't have the one with the backrest, as I got mine used from a friend who tried it on his bike and it did not work out. Eventually I'll probably upgrade to the backrest one, but I've taken two long trips on mine so far and not a bit of soreness. Took a bit of getting used to how it felt, but within about 100 miles it was like I'd never ridden on anything else.
I enjoyed this video . That seat looks really comfy you could always use the old one for around home riding and put the new one on for road trips
Love my saddle men seat. Surprised you didn’t go for the step up with a back rest
Hi Jess, I bought a Saddlemen Explorer seat for my Sport Glide and it was comfortable from day 1. Love the video format but I have always enjoyed your videos from day one anyway
I love watching your adventures
Jess, I like all your video's. Seats. you said that after a ride your lower back was not good. Yep, been there and done that. No fun. I hope the seat that you bought will eliminate the problem. As for me I ended up going to a Mustang Seat like your new one. It did the trick. A comfortable rider is a safe rider. Stay warm.
Good content keep up with some of this 👌 👏🏿 knowledge is power
Excellent video, keep it up.
Yes, I really like this style of videos,..and if you are in the garage it's even better. Hm, I think you missed the bracket by a 1/4 inch when you dropped the backrest in. Big thanks for this different, but very enjoyable video!!!
Fantastic video!
This was great. I'll keep watching. I watch you for the motorcycle content with your cloths on.
My Saddleman seat, on my 2007 Harley Davidson Fatboy, has the gel in both seating areas. Saddleman said it would take around 600 miles to break in. It took around 800 miles on my seat, and it was much better after a couple of 1,000 miles. I also have the back rest for the rider. I never use it as the seat has enough height at the back that I don't really need the backrest. I hope you enjoy your new seat. Keep the videos coming and stay safe on the road. L.H.&R.
That new Road Sofa looks AWESOME! However I'm almost certain (like you mentioned) that the backrest is not in correctly. There should be some sort of metal sleeve/slot down inside the opening through the top of the seat and you may have to wiggle the backrest around inside to find it then once it's aligned push it in firmly. That's usually how they work but I've never had one of those so not certain but that would be my guess. Anyways, that's very exciting and I actually had no idea they even offered a seat with a built-in backrest that's aftermarket - that is so cool! I will definitely be checking those out to see if they have anything that fits any of my bikes! Another great video, as always so thanks for sharing! Ride Safe Jess! 😀
Jess you act like you're my age. You're a long way away from it. I'm happy you got the seat with a back rest. I think you are going to love it. Thanks for sharing. Much love. Stay healthy and safe.
Love the life style vlog. Really entertaining. Let us know if the backrest is installed right.
I love that new seat. You will too on long trips. The adjustment screw should be in the back.
Love it, I may have to consider one.
Cosmetic upgrades are eye candy. Suspension upgrades are where it really counts. That and riding lessons haha. Seat looks fantastic!
I feel ya on the mid 30’s struggle😂 the struggle is real 💯
The important thing is to keep the enthusiasm and continue to make the next video I always wish you good luck
Great video, I much prefer this type to the drunk people partying ones, but that may be because I’m a grumpy old man!
Also, I’ve always wondered what the hole in my Street Glide seat was for, now I understand.
Hey Jess, it was 28 here in Warner Robins this morning. I am told it snows here once in a hundred years, but it still isn't like like SW Florida. I really like the new saddle and feel sure you will get it fitted to you. Lastly, you do not need to remove anything---that is not why I watch!
Since day one I loved my Road sofa surprised you didn’t get the heated seat
Get adjusted and you'll love i! The way to go. Had one on my Road King.👍,RMFR.
I can relate to weather issues as we live in New Brunswick, Canada. But,we do get a lot of blue skies even if it is cold
Good video - liked the content and the real world experience.
Being in Southern Ontario Canada, i can relate to the grey crappy days. I'm done with them before they ever get here... Can NOT wait to ride!!!
When I first got my bike last September ( 2018 sportster iron 883) I rode it for a nice little ride up into the smoky mountains and omg it sucked could barely walk after like you were saying as soon as I got home I ordered a solo saddleman seat and wow what a huge difference. I've since changed to an explorer saddlemen because of the slight back support so I didn't keep sliding off and its amazing super happy with the quality of it. I've been able to go on really long rides now because of that seat and I also upgraded to progressive rear suspension made it perfect for me.
