Thanks works like magics
You just saved me $100 for an adapter. Thanks!
Wow timely! I was going to hook up one and then another later to an older screen. Thank you.
Glad I could help!
Hi! Great information, but wouldn't it work with a straight USB-C to HDMI or USB-C to DisplayPort cable instead of an adapter?
Yes that should work also!
Does the adapter get too hot? I used to have a usb-c to hdmi cable for my macbook pro, and it used to get really hot.
Not at all. I just double checked to confirm. I don't know if it's just constructed better or if that braided fabric cools it off. The metal connecting piece also was not hot.
it works with mac studio too?
I would say any Mac or PC that has HDMi or DisplayPort outputs
But can I connect a Mac mini to an iMac from 2015 and to an LG monitor at the same time?
I would think so if they both have monitor inputs. You just might need the adapter or a HDMi to USB-C cord since the Mac mini only has one HDMI output
Would a single male hdmi connected to mini with dual female hdmi’s for monitors work……two monitors off single hdmi ?
I’m not entirely sure but it might only duplicate the same screen on both monitors instead of extending
@@tallfreakchris yea I was thinking that possibility. Makes sense seperate outputs for separate inputs making the monitor signal independent
and my crap Mac Book Pro M3 can't do that :D
I tried to connect both monitors using two type-c and only one worked :)
Try using the HDMI on one and the USB-C with the other
just buy a monitor with usb c / thunderbolt and so you don't need an adapter :-)
I'm trying to use my existing monitors for now but will keep that in mind!
why the fuck no video shows how to check display settings?
