Lego battle of Saragarhi - stop motion
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- On the morning of September 12, 1897, Saragarhi, a
signaling post was surrounded by about 10,000
Pashtun tribesmen. The small post was manned by only
21 men from the British Indian Army. They were able to
repel repeated attacks but the Pashtuns eventually broke
through one of the walls. Every defender died, but they
had held their position for over 6 hours and killed 180
enemy men and wounded many more. During the battle,
the signalman at Saragarhi had sent an account of the
events to the nearby fort Lockhart.
music from: AudioNetwork
smoke effects by: videoeffech and freefootageparadise
When the signalman was the last man standing, he actually sent a message to his superiors to ask permission to eave his signalling post and pick up his rifle to fight. When he was granted permission, he folded and packed away the signalling equipment in its box and then mounted a frenzied attack upon the enemy. The heroism displayed that day is awe inspiring.
Yeah I don’t understand why no one else Tals about this
@@herzogvonosterreich3027 because they were Indians 😔😔 andmif they were Britishers then there would thousands of documentary films on this .
@@herzogvonosterreich3027 yeah, I've only heard about it 567,000 times.... 🤷🏻♂️
to the British this story is as well known as any other action besides ones that make changes on the map... obviously those are what impact the public.
all my life I've heard everyone heap praise on Indian soldiers... your impression of them somehow being overlooked is yours alone, and probably unique to your geography...
it makes sense that people outside Britain don't know about this; it didn't effect anyone else 🤷🏻♂️
the place where it is neglected but shouldn't be is India itself...
@@JinenPatelkviewsminuteago because in the days when those type of movies were made an entirely Sikh cast would not be very relatable to the audience.
if nobody's made a good film about it the first people you need to ask why are the Indians 🤷🏻♂️
these men have recognition heaped on them in British military and higher social circles... we all know the story
but as honourable as it was, it is a little overblown these days...
it's extremely difficult to assault such a position, and it's not like the defenders had anywhere to go 🤷🏻♂️
of course it was an immensely noble display of duty and honour, but people lately try to make out these guys were supermen... to me that detracts from it...
Good to see that it showed 21th Sikh regiment's efforts
Narysuj i tak się
its the 36th sikh regiment of foot not 21th
@@Fauj-e-Khalistan yeah I think he mixed it up with the fact there were 21 defenders

Phir bhi jeet nahi paaye 😂😂
I love the effects, the gun shots, the smoke, the sound effects, the way each person walked. Outstanding piece of work. Not to mention the fact it aids to show young people history. Love it!
Correction : the valorous warriors had killed over 600 hostiles over the holy land of Saragarhi. Though given chance to surrender or retreat, every one of them fought until the last breath fading . Surprising is the fact that among the 21 some were not trained units and were either cooks or workers but were brave enough to fight viciously. The Afgani commander went on to say .." I had the command of 10000 troops and laughed over the 21, later to only realize that those 21 were the reason I could not conquer North - West India. " JAI HIND
I must ask, is that cry similar to the marine Ooo Rah in meaning?
@@Darqshadow No, "Oorah" simply is a derivation of Hoorah! and can be used anywhere by anyone (for example the Soviets'- "Urra!") but Jai Hind in Hindi means "Victory to Hindustan" (Hindustan is the Hindi name for India) or "long live India". But it can be used in any context of patriotism or war and is a proud saying to us Indians
edit- it seems that OoRah does have a meaning- farewell or until then (this is just from a Google search so it might be wrong) but I have no doubt that the U.S Marines adopted it as a way to say Hoorah.
I don't doubt on the men's heroism but there were just reports of them killing 600 Afgans tho i still admire the valiant 21 who fought tooth and nail for 6 hours just to buy time to the sorounding forts time to call reaforcements
Who started it and why?
@@xzelarate8980
The Pashtun tribesmen wanted Northern India and they seemed to think it was ripe for the taking. Maybe an indirect retaliation at failed British attempts to conquer Bagdad, border security or some leader got ambitious? Only the men at the time really know, but I'm sure there are records somewhere offering more educated speculation.
I love how they animated the reloading of the Martini Henry rifles. That attention to little details like that are one of the reasons I like this channel. Great job.
That's really cool war stop motion! Great job!

Looking back at this again, it reminds me of the final mansion shootout of Scarface (1983), but, there are no automatic guns, and there's more teamwork against the people on the wall.
It's also the same body count as the full film of Scarface (1983): 42 in this video. 44 in Scarface (1983).

You made my cry brother. It's a proud moment for all the Indians. We not only fought against the Afghans but also to show Britishers that we aren't coward. We are brave and have courage to fight alone. We don't need anyone's help to fight for us. That's alot for making video on this. In reality Britishers were coward that they took us as their Soldiers to get helped in wars. Or else they wouldn't be able to survive.
