- This day was quite physically demanding, yet I was still able to exceed my expectations by making it to the Barah Broq lakes in two days. Without GPS and only a satellite map, I had no idea how far I had hiked or how much farther I had to go. Furthermore, what I thought was Moses Peak was actually another peak, as I was informed otherwise by the group of trekkers and porters I met at the lake. After following the same creek for a day and a half, I finally popped up at it's source around sunrise to set up my camp. Conditions were perfect and my plan to summit resurfaced after talking to the other trekkers at the lake. Stay tuned to see how this poorly planned trek turns into the adventure of a lifetime! 🇵🇰

These places are like something else. You can just pretend that you're on a different planet and explore it. You can see how Earth actually looks like without buildings and people. Kind of reminds me of Game of Thrones as well.

As an Afghan American I can honestly tell you that people in Pakistan treated my family and I with no respect just because my mom and sisters were not covered. Keep in mind that Pakistan is the birth place of the Talibans.
