Ya know , I criticize KGW a lot on their video's , because I too am an Oregonian who loves my state and disagree with a lot of their reporting.
This one though.....I have to give you guy's prop's on. Estacada is a stone throws away from me , and these people are basically my neighbor's. Stay strong you guys!
This is very near us and we feel the pain in our neighborhood too. The homes that were spared and those that were not. Fire fighters did miraculous work! Given the terrain, the deep creek canyon's and thick brush and big tree trees, how did they save so many? God bless them everyone! The air is still poisonous to breath and we are still in zone 3. You might mention the people who stayed could easily have been killed if the wind had blown even a little bit harder. Extremely dangerous to do that. And dangerous to breath there still. The fire fighters are still out there fighting fires, holding the borders, fighting this huge fire. Everyone stay safe.

I've been living in hotels for a week. I went back to my home in Estacada and by some miracle it is still standing along with the rest of my neighborhood. I now have survivors guilt. Why did we get spared why lots of others burn. But so happy that my brand new home (only lived in for 10 months) survived!
God has bigger plans for you, be grateful. Help all those who have lost so much.
That is God showing you that there is a GOD! He is shaking the World to show the World that He is GOD! He has spoken this message to a fellow Christian. God wants His children to Believe in Him, repent of your Sins and ask for forgiveness this is your Salvation to Eternal Life in Heaven. Continue having a relationship with God, with Our Lord Jesus and repent of your Sins daily for it is hard not to have some type of sin in our daily lives. Do your best to turn away from Sins though. Forgive others that have trespassed against you as well. Jesus is Coming very soon! We are in the Birth Pangs of the coming of our Lord Jesus.
Im a volunteer firefighter in Australia. All a roll of the dice im afraid. The embers just didnt land in the right place to start it burning. Good luck or good management on your part. Surviving a fire has more to do with good preparation than a lot of people realise. Try to ditch the guilt. It wont help. Just be good to the people around you

@@Gunvic My neighbor was kind enough to tell me about the Book of Job. It was during a low moment during evacuating, it helped me find the inner strength to push through and execute a plan. I feel so blessed. Regardless of what happens, always praise for the creator.

Heartbreaking. I lived in Estacada when I was about 9. My mom taught at the Highschool for many many years. This is awful. You will rebuild. Keep the hope. I am so sorry for you all

My 68yr old mom & 72yr old dad (& us kids of course they’re not doing alone I promise) have been building their retirement/dream home for 4yrs now & any sec. they could have to evacuate. If they do they will literally have nothing, they’ve spent every cent on building the house & they’re putting the siding on now so they’re so close to being done. Plz be safe everyone!!

Thanks to Democrat failures in leadership... They allowed riots arson with no arrests.. All the fires started in Oregon the day after State police deputized by US Marshals allowed them to arrest rioters under federal laws bypassing their crooked DA that refused to prosecute rioters

I'm here in my smoke filled, Portland Hud apartment. I lost everything when I was left for dead overseas with a rare brain damage 9 years ago. I have never had a home or a community. I moved to Portland with my healthcare career for the nature. Now I would give anything to be healthy and their shoes. If I had a home in nature to mourn right now with neighbors, friends,and Medicine for the People, I would be in heaven. Instead I'm in my dark prison hell. 3 years of solitary confinement. I lost my freedom of mobility, choice,and even vision due to my accident,solitude and poverty. Now I contemplate ending my suffering. I wish I had a home to loose. I wish I had nature, my health, and community. :,(
Please get help and don't do anything rash. Things can get better. I don't know your precise circumstances, but there are groups, therapists, probably even living arrangements that can help with your predicament and definately give a sense of community. COVID has messed everything up, not to mention the fires and everything else going on. But it won't last forever, and there are better things ahead I believe. Call white bird, or another source. Look at any options that would help you meet your goals in life. Eventhough it may not always feel like it, you are part of the community, and we would hate to lose you.
There is a reason you are still here love...
Just gotta look within...

Great story I have tears in my eyes as well a lot of us living in Oregon has lost quite a bit to these fires and I'm heartbroken as well. The Archie fire up the north Umpqua out of Glide Oregon completely destroyed that area. Many homes were lost I have friends that I've known for 40 years lost everything God bless you all.
