    Congratulations! Adrian Cantrill's course is great. Time is very important, 180 minutes can go by very quickly when you are deep in thought. I ran out of time with 7 questions left and had to guess at those answers, luckily I built up enough correct answers to get a passing score. Reverse flagging is a good idea. Also at some point you have to trust you are ready, cramming and driving yourself crazy up to the last minute can work against you.

    This was super helpful. I’ve done the AWS developer associate and want to do the architect professional at some stage but I hear it’s tough (both in broadness and depth of knowledge). I totally agree on the Tutorial Dojo point. I used them on my developer associate and in that case, if you can pass the Tutorial Dojo practice exams you can pass the real McCoy, I will definitely refer back to this video when I start studying for my architect professional. I will also share it with colleagues who are on that journey.

    • @TechwithLucy
      @TechwithLucy  2 роки тому +8

      Thank you! 🙌I found the exam a lot harder than SAA and needed to do more to prepare for it. The SAA only took a month of prep but the SA Pro required a much deeper understanding. I was motivated to learn for it because the knowledge is something I can directly apply to my day-to-day job when talking to customers! Next plan is to take a break haha, and maybe sit the Security Speciality next 😄

    Thanks for the tips. I plan to write the exam before it is retired, which is a month from now. Over the next few weeks I'll be cramming as much into my head as possible. Really, though, I want to ace the exam (average of 82% on both CCP and SAA). I really like the idea of reverse flagging, since I found, as you stated, that flagging questions I was unsure of decreased my confidence and likely led to a lower mark than I'd have gotten if I trusted myself.

    Guess I'm different. So far, I study on the day of and just before other types of exams and ended up passing twice - 2 out of 2. I wonder how long that streak will last though. I'm not a very good test taker anyway. Then again my preparation techniques are a little different from most people. Thanks for the feedback - I noticed the ring light wasn't adjusted properly, so in future videos there won't be that much of a glare! 😊

    If you don't have AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional Certification and at least 2 years of Hands-on Experience on AWS or any other cloud technologies. It is definitely useless. HR recruiters will not hire you, just because you passed the test (Unless you know someone who works at the company).

    • @TechwithLucy

      It depends on the role you apply for in the company - there are more entry level roles in Cloud support and also graduate programs that don’t require a lot of industry experience

      A common path though, is people start off in a cloud support role and then transition into being a solutions architect
