WHY I AM VEGAN- MY STORY - www.gretchensveganbakery.com/... - Навчання та стиль
I have loved you and your videos since you first started way back in your bakery. I have to admit that I miss your nonvegan recipes as I am not vegan. I have all your ebooks and your vegan book. I enjoy everything you make and thank you for all your hard work.
Lotsa Italians, well Sicilians, specifically, where I'm from and I so miss this cake, which is found on many bakery and restaurant menus here. Thanks so much for veganizing the recipe and for posting it here, Gretchen!
You are too funny and I love all your bloopers and slight frustration while baking, very true and realistic, you are super knowledgeable and talented everything in all your videos looks delicious and I want to make it all, Subscribed! What a vegan queen! 👑
😀 thank you so much 😊
@@GretchensVeganBakery of course! 🥰
Another beautiful creation Gretchen:))) Jenxoxoxo!😁💖💚💚 Love the tofu ricotta & silk heavy whipping cream:))
I love how you decorated this cake, it reminded me of a Classic European bakery I once went to. I can only imagine the orange, chocolate, rum and creamy flavors all together. I will give it a try and thanks for posting the recipe!
Hey everyone! Sorry this one took me so long to get done! I've been working on it all week! This was one giant project to film and edit! But it's finally here ~ Cassata cake!

My mom worked in cake decorating and you just reminded me of her favorite saying. Cake decorators get to eat their mistakes! This video is wonderful. Never heard of this cake style before. I'm in love with all the flavors you use here, but I worry I'll eat the tofu ricotta chocolate chip filling and the marzipan before assembling the cake. Extra protein is always great.
Thanks to Olive Nation for the discount, as your previous promotion of them had me buying many of their flavorings. I want to try those mini chips, vanilla paste, and almond paste for sure now.
Your skills especially with flubs make us viewers feel like trying this Plant Based Masterpiece.
Congratulations on the old-school Wilton piping style in the intro. It's a refreshing change from the endless drip cakes that have taken over YT.
Thanks David!
Yum.
Beautiful cake... and vegan ricotta filling looks so delicious 😋 that I think it is need to be doubled because it is hard to stop testing (aka just eating by the spoon🤣). Thank you for one more wonderful vegan cake!!!
you’re so talented
That Italian cake looks gorgeous, Gretchen.
in my hometown we call this cannoli cake
Grazie di tutto, Chef Gretchen! I absolutely adore these classic cake videos - I love everything you are sharing with us in this calm-paced teaching style.
I truly enjoyed learning about this Traditional Italian Easter Cake , which I had never heard of before now. Your effortless finesse for finishing this cake was so lovely to watch.
Great video from you!
but at least you weren't picking out parchment paper :) You make this look so easy. it turned out looking amazing ..as usual
I wish I could eat that tonight ! Thank you for this video Gretchen :)
So I was watching this and being like "wtf this isn't a cassata cake at all.". Then after googling I learned the one I know and love is a local Cleveland variant made in Little Italy. Had no idea. You should definitely try it. Instead of marzipan and ricotta cheese, the filling is strawberries and custard. It's sooooo good.
Sounds really awesome! Thanks for the tip!
@@GretchensVeganBakery you're welcome! I need to try the OG version you did too.
another beautiful recipe!! Your channel is truly a Godsend.. thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, experience, and wonderful recipes! it's so appreciated! have a happy Easter, Gretchen!! :)
Beautiful work Gretchen
That piping technique reminds me of the Henna art I'd see at Indian weddings, you should try it out next time you do some sunbathing, I'm sure you'd rock it! (Add some essential oil to the mix for some aromatherapy, I like lavender it mellows me out) Happy Easter! (Basant in India) I hope all your dreams bloom with vibrant colors
I’m a full blooded wop! Lol! But no cassata cake for me.. never heard of it? But then my dad knew Italian and never taught it to my sister or I and only the bad words.. lol
LOL!
Never tried that type of cake.
So is that what that us on top of the coconut water? It’s coconut oil? Interesting! This is why I started buying coconut cream and I don’t know if they have it where you’re at? I think you’re in Florida? but here in California you can go to even Walmart or target and they sell coconut cream and that’s all it is it’s not coconut milk or coconut water it’s actually just the cream of the coconut and they put it in a can so you can just buy it that way and I have to worry about all the oil forming at the top or anything like that just so you know for future reference
50?? You were talking about your mother, right Gretchen?
There's no way. I thought you were maybe 35-40.
Folks, this is why you need to go vegan today.
Lol, yep im 49… it’s hard to believe i got this old!! 🥸
