The ecosystem integration is a thing, but with its latest update ChatGPT is leading by far (they don't let me post the link to the video surprisingly 😏).

Chat-GPT(Pro) has voice chat response to voice input, in natural language which is miles better than the Hey Google / Alexa we are used to. As a Google fan-boy I hope Google can get to that position soon with assistant.
If it's less impressive than current GPT with natural voice and conversation, it will be disappointing as hell.

This is the natural advancement of the Google Assistant. Im extremely excited for this and all of its useful features.
But it's not, Michael. The natural advancement would be Assistant having Bard capabilities, this is not what they are showing. Bard is still a seperate entity and this required an dedicated app, people just want to initialise Assistant as it works now but with it having the much better functionality that would come with AI tech boosting it.

This needs to come to Google Nest speakers because in the current state they are practically unusable. Good luck doing basic functions even setting timers.
She did say bard will be fully integrated with assistant next year but for now it will be pixel only thing.

Yeah the Home or Nest speakers, whatever they are called, seem to irritatingly degrading in functionality. Eg my original Google home speaker suddenly can't do continued conversation, or random voice changes. All very annoying when you've invested lots of money in the ecosystem.

For the last 6 weeks Ive used it every day, it's speech is flawless, it's absolutely life changing!
I can't believe ppl have been sleeping on this.
It remembers every conversation, talks just like a human.
It doesn't matter how bad you word it, it Understands and goes far beyond just giving you recommendations.

Right Google, so I've pre-ordered the Pixel 8 Pro... But on the Assistant with Bard landing page the app will be on Android and iOS. So why did I buy the Pixel 8 Pro? 🤔🤔
That is the big problem. If both the Magic Editor and all AI services are also available for the iPhone later, this will of course devalue the Pixel series immensely. By the way, it was similar with Magic Eraser and Google Lens, which are now also available for iPhones. It's a similar story with the translator. So far, Apple has only brought Apple Music to Android, and Apple does its best to avoid making Facetime, iMessage or similar services available on other platforms. So it's more of a take than a give on Apple's part.
Do you have any date range on when will it be released? I am pre ordering my google pixel 8 pro but wondering how long will it take to get all the features that showed us on the videos.

Google Home, using multiple speakers etc, is now a terrible experience. It's crying out for a half-decent LLM, so at the very least it can understand which speaker i want to play my music on, even if i don't get the speaker name 100% correct
Finally assistant might stop being dumb as a rock :D
Hopefully this also makes adding features easier. Right now there are so many things assistant should do, but can't. It doesn't integrate well with other google services like maps so I can't use assistant to share my trip with my home hub, for one. I could go on.
Please bring this to Pixel 6

Manufacturers need to install a tensor 2 like chip capability. I don't think it works with current phones. You can talk with Bard but only through the chrome browser.

This could’ve been better to be honest… give it the ability to reply in a natural human sounding voice like the Duplex demo 5 years ago and remove all the unnecessary text and give us the ability to just point to something so it can take the picture itself in the background. Make it seem like less of a chat app.
