Hi Strawberry! I agree, the ending voice lines feel very out of place and silly lol. For me portal is definitely the best part. I grew up playing the BC2 campaign when I was a kid, so that was an unforgettable experience for me. So definitely love the nostalgia of seeing the older content with a new graphical upgrade. I am also into military history, so BF1942's portal content fits right into what I like, although I wish it had more of an atmosphere like BF1. Not so enjoyable for me would be the base game. The maps and concepts are cool, but I'm not a big fan of the specialist system in all honesty. I wish they kept it similar to BFV so I could customize the soldier a bit more. Its funny because the 2042 AI characters look decently cool, so I'm just shaking my head why DICE didn't use those character models for players as well. The specialist gadgets could then be unlocked for your own character, so you can decide exactly how you want your character to look and play in the game. The glitches and bugs have also been a bit of an issue for me, like the one were you can't spawn in, or the kill recognition feed disappearing like in this video. At the end of the day I am having fun with the game, just crossing my fingers DICE adds much more content to portal. A Stalingrad map with destructible buildings would be awesome. Stalingrad map in 2042 would be great because they cut support for bf5 early and we did not have russian front. Also, one dice senior design developer today on twitter out of nowhere mentioned "bf heroes was ahead of it time". Can it be coincidence? Maybe bf heores map in Portal. Idk, never played it, just speculating :). People often talk about bf2 as best bf. Why not bring best bf2 map/s? :D
@@ProtoSunGaming i always play portal too. Maingame is meh . Started with bc2 and then 3,4,5 ,1 . And as you mention the atmosphere isnt there . The sounds in bc2 in the good old days had more echo and immersion as in portal 😵💫 But its fun to play valparaiso etc with new graphics
I'm not sure to be honest. I just checked portal and I don't see the server up right now. The footage was recorded November 20th at around 8pm EST, so possibly it may be up later in the evening or it became inactive sadly. I would suggest putting "1942" or "Premium" into the portal server filter when checking to see if it is up. Hope this helps!
