That was an epic weld and fabrication job. What a job Neil, you should be well chuffed with yourself for achieving what many would not have started, incredible job.
Outstanding work👍 Congratulations Looking forward to seeing the continuation and completion of this project and see this punto gt back on the road Greetings from Portugal 💪👍
Sorry got confused, the Fiat has been welded for three years, and this is the situation still. I think it must be rusting faster than you can lay a weld on it 😅 Cracking vidjeos, please continue Sir.
For that sill panel you should have ground off the zinc coating around all the joint areas prior to welding, it contaminates the weld but also produces a nasty gas that you don’t want to be breathing in. Great work bringing this back, you just don’t see a punto GT anymore, or any mk1 punto for that matter
@@ItaliaAutos probably not at 20... but now? Probably. Someone has to save them. I have a mk2 Golf Gti that I'll never sell, and a 156 that will probably be a keeper too. Just need the big garage to keep them all in.
A suggestion for italian fans: Take a Fiat Punto of any generation and show us how to make a complete engine service. I'd also love to see a Fiat Uno Mk1 being restored.
With the 155’s the fuel issue could be caused by some rusty connectors of the fuel relais. By wiggleling the connectors of the fuel pump relais could help to diagnose that problem.
Che lavoro! Sono sorpreso di tale devozione, ma mi chiedo se la spesa vale la resa. What job! I am surprised at such devotion, but I wonder if the expense is worth the return.
This has to be one of the rustiest cars brought back to life on youtube. Well done Neil, a true labour of love 🥳👏💪
Cheers. Thanks for watching
God bless you, and keep up the good. Thank you for everything.

Goes to show that even we'll kept cars need plenty of tlc at this age.

Another car I shouldn't have sold. Had one around 12 years ago. Great video, look forward to seeing more!

Nice.
There's more RUST on this FIAT ( Fix. It. Again. Tony ) than The Titanic at the bottom of the sea. Good Luck 😄😊
the word now is WAS :-) thanks for watching.
Coming on well Neil👍
Really enjoyed watching this ,great to see how all the welding repairs have progressed and the gt is looking good .

Excellent Neil brilliant thanks
My Punto engine would not start. I replaced the crank sensor. Cheap to replace, fits low down on the engine case near the bottom of the crank. Doug.
Worth a try but the my main issue was no coms with ecu.
Watching because my GT will most likely need that kind of work sometime in the future. At least I’ll be prepared for what’s waiting for me.
They all will. Get the panels while.you can
Good car bro
nice update neil
Thanks 👍

For welding the sills. It may have helped to put a joggled edge on. The risk is that it creates a water trap.
yes. i did that on the other side much easier.

It's worth it just for my own satisfaction

Make sure you don't use cellulose paint over the rust treatment. I use acrylic over mine.
Ibalways prime over it first anyway.
That's a breaker not a fixer......
i think ill prove you wrong in the next video :-)
Brand new car chunky discount 8500. I’d have been made up
Shame it's like £20000 plus now.
