  • The Jæren Scenic Road is one of the National Tourist Roads (nasjonale turistveger) through Norway. The drive is done from Stavanger to Egersund, about 80km further south. The Jæren Scenic Road is famous for its unique flat landscape, white sandy beaches, and ancient farms.
In this video, I drive from Stavanger to Egersund. Along the way, I pass Norway's stonehenge, many World War II sites, beaches, surf schools, old churches, and lighthouses.
The video provides audio and written commentary that explains the history, culture, everyday life and present-day issues of Jæren.
This video was recorded in September 2020.

You have a perfect presentation style for guided tours. Do you do this or something similar professionally?
OK, I should have read your website BEFORE writing that question!

Haha no worries :) I do walking tours of Bergen. At the moment, due to the pandemic, I'm doing virtual tours! You can view it here: www.airbnb.com/experiences/2148958

@@TheHiddenNorth I was in Bergen in 1983 when I was a teen, for one night (I had spent the summer working on a farm on the Lofoten island). I grew up in Edinburgh and the narrow alleys between some building reminded me of the “close” in Edinburgh. Ever since, i have wanted to tour Norway again.
