- In this video I'm sharing my cleaning routine for a house with dogs. These dog cleaning hacks help keep my house clean and smelling good. I am right there with you girl. I really found myself in a pretty severe depression for the past 6 months. It's hard to get out of bed somedays. I don't wish it on anyone, but it's slightly comforting to know I'm not the only one who feels that way.
I'm trying so hard to feel motivated to get the much needed cleaning done.

Terrific Video! So wonderful to see how loving you are with your dogs. My elderly bulldog can no longer control his bladder so we have quite a struggle keeping the floors clean. But I remind myself of what he's meant to us and how lucky we are to have him here.

As a person living daily with o.c.d. I enjoy cleaning & putting things where they belong. I also enjoy watching someone else clean. It is awesome. You clean more thoroughly than most of your fellow UA-camrs who are supposed to be cleaning gurus.

Thank you for promoting cleaning your dogs ears!!! I worked in a my local dog grooming shop all summer and people would bring in their dogs with the grossest ears and it made me so sad that they just don't take care of their dogs...
Lol!! The beer to clean! When my 4 boys were young and my hubby thought the house needed a deep clean, he would bring me hope a six pack and take the boys out for the afternoon!

A dog person cleaning while drinking a beer and listening to nsync? I think we must be twins!
Btw, next time you’re in the market for a vacuum, a Miele canister vac is soooo good for hardwood floors and gets every last bit of hair. I know bags are a turn off for some people but you don’t go through bags nearly as often as you empty a bagless and it’s much more effective! My Miele runs circles around my old dyson!

Very helpful. I have a chocolate Lab Sir Ruby. I had not expected all that HAIR. You're not kidding it gets everywhere. I was wrapping a gift and I kid you not, every time I used a piece of tape there was Brown doggy hair. Oops I already applied the tape and I'm not pulling it off the pretty wrapping paper. The solution may be to always use dark patterned paper.

The problem with drinking a beer while listening to N Sync is that I will just end up having a dance party and not get anything done at all. Regardless, it sounds like a good time to me. Zoe is such a sweet lil lady during her grooming. I did like her glance at the camera while you were cleaning her ears out like "halp... halp."

That "floor protectant" is not good for your floors... I owned a cleaning business for almost 20 years... and I cant tell you how many people who would hire me and then say "i dont know why my wood floors are cloudy" and i would ask them what they were using and they would pull out one of those kind of floor "cleaners/protectors" and they leave a film over time and can dull the finish on your floor. Use vinegar to get the build up of that stuff off your floor and then start using method almond floor cleaner and squirt it on your floor and use your damp string mop to spread it... thats the best way.

I have worked for a cleaning company for years and most people don’t realize your floors don’t need to be cleaned with cleaners. Warm water and a mop works just as great and helps your wood floors last longer.
Amanda Hall that’s all I use to clean my floors. I use my mop and some warm water.

@@Amanda-wv8cd id agree with you for the most part however, if you have pets.... using something to kill germs is a good idea. You dont NEED any chemical to clean anything really... BUT... Its nice to have the house smell fresh and clean after a good floor washing with a mild yet fresh smelling floor cleaner. Doesnt have to be something unfriendly to the environment....but as we walk all over the floors in our outside shoes, or our dogs lay their nasty-asses all over the floors and then you drop something, could be a pen... then you use it and not thinking, put it to your mouth as a lot of people do out of habit... its a good way to develop a mouth sore. God forbid you have kids... they lick everything.... its better to be safe than sorry, use a little vinegar even... it has disinfectant properties. And well... this comment section was started PRE Covid19... so its especially better to be safe than sorry now a days. lol

So impressed with how well Zoe sits for her ear cleaning! We have an old cat and she needs her ears cleaned frequently so she doesnt get infections cause she just cant do it herself anymore, and it takes both of us to get it done. We do also brush her but she loves it and snuggles into her brush.
I used to use the vacuum booster to get the dog smell of 2 Rottweilers out of my house. After using it multiple times over a month I took my area rug up so that I can wash and polish my hard wood floors. When I lifted it up I seen so much powder on the floor and discovered it was the vacuum booster that made it through the carpet when I was vacuuming. I don’t have a large area rug and I vacuum for about a steady 5 - 10 mins, dump the dirt then go back for a once over. If I don’t see anything in the reservoir then I assume it’s clean. The powder acted as sand paper under the carpet and filled the cracks of the floor as well as dulled my finish. I wouldn’t recommend using that unless you vacuum the rug and then under the carpet. It’s a lot more work but better then ruining the floors. Couple months ago I purchased the Bissell Hardwood floor washer and it’s amazing. Cleans and vacuums the floor and then I can use it to wash the carpet. The solution last me forever and I do ever room in the house. Doesn’t leave the carpet wet for long and smells great for a few days.

Best cleaning video that I've seen in a while. Love your cleaning "rules". I have been through so many vacuums. Especially with pets it is important to have a good one. I will have to try the powder on my carpet next time.

We have an upstairsbasket, too. We have hardwood floors on our ground level, so I like to use the Swiffer Sweeper instead of a broom and dustpan every so often because it picks up as it sweeps. Thanks for the tips and tricks!
Try a rubber broom their fabulous in between vacumes especially when you have heavy shedders ( mum of GSD husky lab & Yorkie, here )

I love your videos and these are some great tips! I just wanted to comment on the use of Pine Sol - you've got the right idea, but its toxic to dogs. I use the two method floor cleaners - the almond on hard wood and the lemon on the regular floors. They're not the cheapest products out there but they last forever!
Thank you for demonstrating how rugs, tables, chairs must be moved. I have to teach my husband some basic steps for sweeping - especially since we both work full time, have 2 cats and 3 dogs. I love your video!!! 😊🎖

Great tips on keeping pups maintained. Today in NY it was minus 4 degrees. I was thinking they need a bath, but not while it's that cold outside...although they are inside, they don't dry as quickly. I plan on using your tips tomorrow. Thanks!
I have a frenchie. So he sheds even when he breathes lol. So i own the kirby avalir vacuum best of the best. I dust every 3 days lol with the yellow liquid. I always clean my kitchen counters once a week with soap and water...in between the week i used method to clean any residue of anything. I vacum once a day or every 2 days. I clean my leather sofas with water and method every week . Or every 4 days. And i vacum my dogs xL crate every 2-3 days a week. Also mop inside of it. What helps the most is cleaning your carpet to get any of the dog smell out. So i clean my carpets with the vacum i own once a month and clean my bathroom once a week. Lol im always cleaning. Also getting a dog bed with a removable cover on it helps i wash every 2 weeks depends. But having a dog that sheds alot is such hard work. Lol
Check your kids for yeast infections, too. I've got 2 with chronic infections. One we treat at home with a chlorhexidine/ketoconazole shampoo. The other has to be on keto pills as well as the baths.
I also have a sheltie, and she's a 25 lb poof of fur. We both use honest company conditioning detangler and fortifying spray and a tangle teezer brush (I got her a knock off from wish). The spray smells like orange candy and keeps us from having to wash our hair/fur as often. Plus, all of the oils make us as soft as silk.
I just live her!!! Like a best friend virtually ❤❤❤
I have to vacuum every other day because of my dogs 😭 it's so annoying but I love them! Also drinking a beer while cleaning is the best! It makes it so much more fun lol!

I'm watching this because I have 2 dogs and a cat and it's "cleaning day" for me and the beer and boy band hacks were hands down my favorite and literally the number one thing in the video that motivated me to get up and clean lmao!!! LOVED this! Also, that vacuum is the fucking bessssttttt. We got one a few years ago and I SWEAR by it now!!!

ok I'm glad other people's vacuums just blow air around on the hardwood setting. We have a pretty nice vacuum (we rent our place and our landlord bought it for the house) but I spend 90% of my time using the detachable stick as well! mostly cause we have zero carpet hahaha.

Huh! I got mine about 10 years ago but I didn't think it was too horribly pricey. Maybe they went way up since then? Just checked Petco, they are about $20 there and totally worth it.

I don't like beer , but you make me want to try beer before cleaning up. Beer battered foods i really like though, such as fish or onion rings etc.
one tip is to brush your dogs hair outside, so the hair that comes off doesn't go back onto the floors
Yes definitely! I do that when it's nice outside, otherwise, I brush them before I vacuum!
