Man is there anyway you can help out old Wayland wire his square body fell off the lift
hit up cleetus mcfarland about the crown vics that he can't race anymore
I absolutely love Demri. Her giggles make me smile.
20:16 - "I would rather come prepared and have too much than not have enough" - Wisdom! When debating whether or not to take a rainsuit when going fishing my dad would always say "you can take it off if you have it, but you can't put it on if you don't have it"
Great recovery. Really cool on you all to take these jobs so far away, to help the Forestry Dept out. Too bad some people don't respect nature.
"It's better to have it and Not Need it, than Need it and Not have it" My Dad ❤ Great Job Y'all 👍🏼
Mine, too!
6:54 - Words never uttered with honesty on Matt's channel.
7:03 - More tools than Matt too.
I just love Demery’s laugh! It’s contagious 😅
Thanks for MOOVING the Jeep out of the forest. You guys are always entertaining.
🐮Thanks for the comment, it’s hard to text with hoofs.
Victory Lunchables for the whole crew! Nice job. Thanks for helping keep public lands clean.
The fact that demry nows the years is a win. Save me the 03s and up lol 😊 she got the video a thumbs 👍
Always take a mattock along. Extremely versatile digging tool.
The Conservation and restoration you do on your recoveries is commendable! Off-roaders should restore the damage they cause after a good time off-roading! Fill your holes and take your trash with you! Keep America Beautiful people, Mother earth will appreciate you for it! Til next time, take care, and we'll see you on the next...
I always carry a shovel and trash bags with me, that way if I spill fluids or dig a hole trying to move, I just back fill the hole and or take the soaked dirt with me and properly dispose of it.
The Recovery you mentioned that Matt and Paul did was the first of their work I had seen. Many years ago. Since then I have been watching all of
You Utah teams doing great work and helping out your communities
with great events.. Keep up the great work you all do. Thanks for taking us
along.. Stay Safe and enjoy your awesome Surroundings.
MWP Cosby, Tn.
😂Manual Backhoe😂 That is literally the best description of a shovel I have ever heard. Great Job.
Ever notice that thieves rarely ever seem to steal shovels.... 🤠
Mine runs on beer.
@@papawheelie5835 If a thief could use a shovel they wouldn't be a thief.
What happened with the Crown Vic?
Crazy it takes so long to go such a short distance! Always enjoy seeing the Boss! 😊 Thanks all for sharing! Have a great weekend!
Another great one, Robbie! That video of the recovery with Matt and the guys you mentioned was the very first one of his I saw … that led me to Paul’s channel, then yours, then Chad’s. Haven’t stopped looking since. Don’t watch TV anymore
Matt may have the biggest off road wrecker but i feel like Robby could build the coolest off road wrecker
I've heard Bronco,, YUCK, and i've heard Blazer, Yeah. Which does the Boss want ? Ty for taking us along
Long range recovery...Demri is really cool...fine job.
Great job Team Awesome recovery Thanks for taking us along. Love your channel !!!!
It’s amazing how much open country there is out there. I’m from MA and anytime I’m out that way I absolutely love how it feels. Keep up the good work team!
Love Watching you and the team Robby Layton hill billy demri Michael Barnes from Jamaica ❤
Comp makes good cams
What a powerful recovery, all of you did!! You guys are the best in the business!! Nobody else could’ve did it better than you guys have done!!!! This recovery deserves a lot of money by far!! I’m talking $3000 minimum maybe $4000 $5000!!!!! ask the boss she will tell you!! She is always correct and that is right. Just like my wife here in Northwest Montana. Yaak Montana!! I knew the video what’s up I just didn’t have time to watch it but now I do. I love all of you guys and so does ❤ my wife ❤️ we can hardly wait to meet you guys in about a month when we come over there!!!
Nice job on the recovery!! It came out pretty easy after the manual backhoe got done. 😀 I think you were right.. 75% travel and 25% job. Hope you all got home safe and sound and your backs weren't too sore!!
Awesome recovery, Really appreciate the teamwork picture channel has. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Guys
Love seeing how hard the forest service guy is working to help. 😅😅😅😅😅
He was instructed to stay out of the way haha
Hey Robby and team, maybe Cleetus has some donor crown vics he can't use for the freedom 500 anymore that you guys can derby with. Love the videos and wish you all the best.
Great recovery, thanks for sharing, cheers...
You are the youngest one here. Love it!
I am so tired of seeing people tear things up Crown Vics are great cars and they should be preserved and taken care of
Derby car candidates are already on their last legs, and no longer road worthy.
Robby, next time you're in Bicknell you got to go to the Sunglow Cafe! Good food, but they have some unique pies, like Pinto Bean Pie and Pickle Pie. It's a fun stop if you're passing through.
Rhubarb pie.
I'm totally in support of her getting the Branco she wants because I personally would love to have one myself. Sadly I missed out on buying one a few years ago because my dad didn't want me to get it because it had the Removable top and in his words they leak constantly.
Great recovery guy's that's good business helping take care of fedral land props to Layton Auto, thanks for sharing ❤️😎👍
The other companies might not have all the equipment you have to make this type of recovery! You all did a great job getting it out!
Wow crazy recovery good thing Hillbilly, The Boss and Steve we’re helping you Robby 👍 mucho diggo 💙 Thxs for sharing
I’d love to see the new sequoia set up for off road recoveries. You’d be one of the first channels to setup a new sequoia like that and use it.
This is coming from someone with a first gen sequoia and I offroad and do recoveries with it all the time here in Denver CO it’s perfect
LOVE IT when the boss gets all giggly . It's so cute .Great job .👍🤘💪✌💛👌😁🏁
Hillbilly is the star of this channel!⭐
For those not familiar with The Boulder Mountain Range absolutely beautiful but ….. “The “Boulder” is so SO SO RUFF and rocky. The mountain range is appropriately named and awesome fishing, deer and elk hunting.
Great 👍 recovery guys 😉. Thanks for sharing 😊.
Typical Boulder Mountain road and that is a paved road compared to some of the ones i used to drive on to go to some of the best fishing holes around. It is one of my favorite places to be. The views are awesome.
Im a simple man... I see Robby Layton, I watch and press like.
Well done guys. I was a bit skeptical about that first pull working, but you guys musta done some really good digging there. It's nice that you guys finally had a job where everything worked right, and nothing broke, and it was relatively easy with a good plan. Like you said, the hardest part was getting there, well the longest anyway, the digging looked kinda hard. Nice little adventure. I bet the forest service was happy to get that outta there.
Robby, I think a Robby Layton riser should be on the market. Something with pieces that put together would have some a wide stance that basically is a v channel that when the vehicle has that suction on tires. Rather than pulling straight horizontal to the winch it would go up and over the v about 5 ft high and then to winch. So the winch pulls but the direction immediatly off the stuck veh would be pulling vert because of tyhe v tool its strewn over, Pull up , break the suction.
Your recovery work has grown by leaps and bounds and the methods you use are outstanding.
CV is standard, find some Mercury and Lincoln too....I had a '96 Grand Marquis and she was a blast
That video of matts that you mentioned was the very first video i watched that started me watching matt the paul then you and rory and chad and Merlin. Saw the angle and location. And thought if nothing else i may het to see some beautiful scenery. Which matt did show
I have a question for the bodyman in you. I am 68 yrs old and when I was in my 20s I heard of an interesting way to deal with hail damage. And I've haven't had the opportunity to try this. They said to take a piece of dry ice and rub it across the dimple where the hail hit the metal, body. And the cold would shrink it on the side facing the dry ice. There could have been other things you had to do too, like heating the vehicle up in the sun first. Wear insulated gloves.
Will it work??
Boulder Mountain, been over it both directions several times. The last time I tried the truck stayed at top for over 10 months until the Forest Police was told by a friend to try Matt to recover. I had tried everything I could with no luck. Yes I walked out to UT12, got a ride ride back to Torrey where my camping trailer was parked, part of Matt's video and maybe Paul's. When Matt called me and offered his services I told him it would make a great video and offered to sell the truck to him it truck. He turned that down. The camera guy in the truck at the end of Matt's video was the new owner last time I see it. Is your video going to be as popular as Matt's, 8m+ that's popular. I've joked that's because I'm not in his or Paul's.😁
Yeahoo Robby Hillbilly Steve & Boss oh and our Cow supervisions!!!
If I had to do this, I would get some airbags under the chassis and lift as I dig out each wheel. The ground is firm under the body and loosened around the wheels it should lift out. Once the wheels are lifted out of the dirt in pairs, you can support them by packing the dirt back into the holes. The jeep could be rolled out by hand.
But... They brought a skid steer. Why not loosen and lift each wheel with a sling from the forks to the wheels?
Thanks for making
What ever happened to the Wrecker Rory was building for you? Depending on how it is fitted out, that may have been useful on this job. Great video and scenery. Thanks for sharing.
I bought at auction for $125 a 1948 ford two door, it was ALL original (every single piece of chrome trim) one part missing break master cylinder. People all asking What you going to do with it?? ... said I'm parting it out everything except the motor and drive line axels etc and putting it in the Derby!!
This was before cell phones, by the time I got home I had 10 messages from buyers :) I told the auctioneer to let anyone have my number of the asked :)
Ended getting around $800 or $900 (forget exactly ... not too bad for flat towing home a half mile, on flat tires 1 days "work" :)
Hillbilly is a man’s man. I know it’s an old term and some may misunderstand.
For future reference, when putting an automatic transmission in neutral when engine is not running, all gear positions besides park are neutral. No pump turning, no gear application. Anything after 1970 this will apply. Hope this helps.
Great job helping out the forest service. Curious when Rory will start working on building your tow truck?
Robby, you should invest in some Liquid Springs for the Ford. They are a game changer.
Great recovery Robby and team, love the scenery with the cows of course. Good luck with finding some car's for next year. David B.,Utah. 🇺🇲🇺🇲❤❤❤.
That Matt video is the first one UA-cam offered me that I clicked. The rest is history and here I am.
Great Video. Thanks!
Awsome video guys !!...... great teamwork!..... good job on digging out the wheels.....great cam work as always !!.... thanks for putting this together for us
Super awesome job 👍👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Did you over think this using the manual backhoes?
Skid steer with forks.
Hmmm, lift the jeep... fill tire holes, set back down pull out.
The forest service could have made that a local cub scout merit badge project.
No we purposely didn’t use the skid loader!! We expected it to be much worse and it would be way too easy to Just lift it up so we Chose to Shovel and winch!
@@RobbyLayton I figured you guys need a workout.
Made for a good video.
Well that was interesting, they wanted too see the cows in the moodows 😅. Have a good week and count your blessings amen.
That skid steer was overkill but then again work smarter not harder and that was really smart
I'm in Arizona, but Boulder Mountain is one of my favorite deer hunting areas.
Steve has a great sense of humor.
Robbie ! It's all ammunition out! Lovely 😍
That is beautiful country.
I love that they all point different places at the end but great work didn’t look to stick and with what you guys have as equipment it should of been as easy as it was awesome work but would of loved to see the skid loader winch used
I think that would have been a great job for the wrecker Rory is building for you. Nice work!
That beef jerky is made 40 minutes for me. It’s a small town in Oklahoma. That’s awesome.
Wow that's crazy 😮. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab On. Weld On. Keep making. God bless.
Great cleanup! It would have been nice to have seen a before and after of the mess the keep made and the grooming you performed with the skid steer.
Thank goodness that thing wasn't suctioned in too bad! No doubt a hassle for you to get to, but it made for good content!
Hey Robbie I just gotta mention that Hi-Lux is not a frgn Trekka. A Trekka is made by Skoda in the 1960's and was 2X4 with dif lock or something. So the Hi-Lux or Surf Being the greatest 4X4 of all time should not get belittled by the Trekka monicker. Thank you! Otherwise you're one of the luckiest sons in America with such a pretty wife and witty humorous daughter. At least we got him out of the old bronco? star.
You finished another job !! And did a good deed that’s a twofer!! I usually fly out of executive at flying cloud , they will give you a great deal on my plane ticket!
I know of a few 66-77 broncos in Utah, but you've gotta promise no LS swaps before I'll share the locations of them. 😂 I'm also sorry for interrupting your intro. I drove by the shop while you were filming and see you had to do a retake right when I drove through in my work truck (white Chevy 1 ton flatbed).
Took me about a year and a half to find a 90s bronco with the 351 without rust, your best bets are NM, Arizona, and Colorado, Colorado ones are good taken care of by the owner but they are rusty. NM and Arizona ones are rust free, but they are neglected and usually forgotten under the sun, meaning new seals and bushings are needed on all of them.
Funny, that episode of MORR where they got that truck off the side of the hill was the first vid I ever watched.
I hate to be a negative nelly, but you need to join the 21st century and get Rugged Radios! I have been using one for the past 3 years with the Hemet Jeep Club and they are worth every penny!
I have used a portable airbag to lift my truck up out of the dirt. It breaks the suction, and you can fill the hole with rocks to keep it up when you pull it. semper fi
98-02 crown vic. there are six on craigslist in Portland, Oregon four are X cop cars.
You would definitely be much better with a 1969 to 1972 Chevy blazer for sure!!! Those are way much easier to find parts for than a bronco for sure!!! The blazers 1969 to 1972 are definitely what I have been looking for also!!! I’m definitely a really big fan of the 1967-1972 Chevy trucks and blazers and I have also had anywhere from 2 to 21 of them at one time over the years but I’m down to one right now and have had it for almost 25 years!!! I’m definitely not a ford guy what so ever and I wouldn’t even take a brand new Ford raptor if a dealer tried to give one to me!!! I used to have a 2006 Ford super duty and I baught it with under 10,000 miles on it and a week after buying it was already broken down and after 2,000.00$ dollars later with a new fuel control module it worked for another two weeks and it was broken down again!!! I had that truck for 4 years and it was in the shop getting fixed more than I drove it in the 4 years of owning it and I ended up paying for the truck over twice of what I baught it for!!! I kept thinking i would never get my money out of it if what I had in it so I ended up getting rid of it for a 2007 classic body style GMC Duramax and by not having to do any repairs on it for the 14 to 15 years of owning it I pretty sure it has saved me enough money to make up for what I had put in my pile of junk Ford I had!!!!! I mean really how many different kinds of motors has Chevy had over the past 20 years and how many different motors has ford had over the past 20 years?? Ford has definitely had many more than Chevy ever had!!! Ford definitely messed up when they went away with there 7.3 power choke!!!! I’m just saying and trying to save you from having to go threw all the troubles I went threw!!! Awesome video Roby!!! Remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!!
So, what happens with a vehicle like this? Is it considered abandoned and now the government or you can get a title to it? Was the expected cost of the recovery so much that the person just abandoned the vehicle?
I have the same question.
Check market place in North Mississippi. There’s at least 30 or more on there for sale right now 1500 to 2500. Cletus hasn’t touch the market. There was over 1 million made and I think he has 140.
Hello from nova Scotia. Just wondering have you ever considered using an air bag or two to lift stuck rigs to break suction to recover ?
Good job guys. Do you get to keep the Jeep? Was it abandoned? Thank you 😊
Not sure if they're what you want, but GC surplus has ex-cop cars for sale occasionally. Usually they go cheap.
Lol! Robbie we live in the country and drive on roads like this all the time. Gravel roads is where we live
Your recovery skills are improving. If you would finish your jeep project ... it might come in handy for these off road recoveries.
I liked the Loves brand beef jerky made by robertsons from Oklahoma use to stop at loves all the time when I was trucking.
We have a Crown Vic in our tow yard one you are looking for usa Towing in Duluth
I can relate to the rough road you were on. I drove on a corduroy gravel road this morning on national Corp of Engineers public land. It will beat you and your vehicle to death!
My sister owns a cabin on that mountain. Those roads going up to the top are no joke.
I had no idea until being on the road how bad they actually are !!
Nice recovery. Planning ahead works.
on x looks great , one day they might work in Australia
