I bet he's not really pressured living alone. In fact he must like living alone since he is an introverted person and always wants privacy. This was my theory because I am also an introvert and I enjoy staying in my home more than going outside. If I go outside, I always want to leave alone. I find it more enjoyable if I don't have company.
