I feel like Camellya story quest is just a prologue introducing her character. The fact that no matter which timelines, she and Rover somehow always crossed path, like her instinct (or maybe her frequency, since wuwa power is about sound and waves) somehow able to guide her to Rover. I believe there's more to it than meets the eye, and here I am wishing for part 2 of her story. 4:56 I don't think Camellya wouldn't be interested in Rover if Rover wasn't that strong, since we saw a timeline where Camellya was sane, not overclocking, and hadn't even fully awaken her resonance power, yet she still wanted to see Rover cause she was afraid of "missing something important" and that before she even knew Rover is the black shore leader... so I believe Camellya is attracted to Rover not only because of Rover's power

It’s more that EN doesn’t see the need of a “blank slate” sort of character to be able to relate to the story. That and there’s a tendency for these MCs to be the center of everything in their games to the detriment of the characters and plot. It also tends to be highlight poor writing. Wuwa has had great story moments in it, but overall the quality of writing in it is not that great and the shallow character Rover is at this point and their focus in a lot of these stories highlights that. If the writing or lore were more enrapturing to people than the complaints about Rover would lessen a lot.

Rovers will is explained through all the game everytime you see something about their past, most documents even have censoring bars, but EN doesn't seem to understand, Is like if they are prone to be blinded by anything related to any relationships Especially on Wuwa, like if the game didn't have the right to do that too, heck even in Star Rail trailblazer is hinted to be able to be in a relationship with Kafka, his closer to "mom" That's a very strange nitpicking on Rover case

Its opening acts in the Space Station in Belebog aren’t some masterful writing feat. They are basic stories with their own problems much when it comes to writing quality. However, they did do a good job for the majority of players to get them emotionally attached to the main cast. This makes it easier to ignore writing problems in later stories, which is why you have people defending things like 2.6 in HSR despite it not being good really. Dialogue also plays a big factor in this. The dialogue in Wuwa (possibly due to localization) is bad. Really bad. Which if I’m gonna be honest, is gonna make it hard for people to get invested in the stories. The sad thing is that due to the poor start Wuwa has had in terms of story means that they are on the back foot in terms of people being emotionally. For example, I am still looking for a reason to give a shit about Rover as a character. And to make it clear, I want WuWa’s story to be good. I’m a long time PGR player and know that Kuro can tell good stories. But I’d by laying if I said that WuWa’s stories at the moment were anything but disappointing from my view.
@@id10terror15 hmm? if u are long time pgr player then u should know that pgr story telling at the begin was so poorly either, commandant was completely no different camera man than other gacha game stories, until chapter 10 it started to get a bit better - Also story telling in pgr is visual novel type, completely different than wuwa tell the story throught cut scenes, camera angles and character expressions, included trailer, teaser, if u are only pay attention to the dialogue but ignore from gathering informations then prob u wont feel anything, one of the methods of the good story telling usually have is show, but not completely say it out, it come to the audience can feel it if they actually put their effort to pay attention, and again, pgr story telling wasnt that great at the begin since it was too focus on world building, it was only to come to peak after lucia sacrificed in chapter 12 then the story started to focus on relationship between commandant to other characters and commandant is main character-ing until now in cn story
@ except the interludes for characters in early PGR are miles better than the companion quests in Wuwa so far. Also, even though the early PGR story is shit, the hook of the game is far better and the explanation of the base setting is far better. For me Jiyan, Yinlin, Jinshi and even Lingyang are good character stories Jiyan: how he lost many friends and the weight of being a midnight ranger Yinlin: have to fight with someone how she see as her family Jinshi: in her jounery to become the magistrate of Jinzhou and save the Mt. Firmament Lingyang: how he had difficulty living in Jinzhou because he was not human
I thought her story was an 8/10 for me. I loved the innuendos towards Rover, it totally makes sense and was welcome. Just wish they would go even more mature just like it would be in real life, let Rover have some fun.
Totally was waiting for the community to start talking about the story writing in WuWa. WuWa has amazing potential but the story writing especially for character stories needs improvement. These last two patches the writing was lacking and not really fleshed out properly. I wanted more background on Camellya like where she came from and felt the memory loss was a cope out in a way to not have to really address her past and origins. They didn’t even go into depth about the village or why rover wanted to erase his memories or even really why Camellya had to erase her memories too. It’s was all vague and thrown together. The writing needs more depth.
Im ganna yap about Ryukku sensei thoughts on Encore story Ying was Encore insert but why the hell Encore is there too why not just told in the perspective of Encore and not Ying .. It is because Encore is the Story teller / Mother in a sense so she cannot be the main character . Because she is the one telling On the sword thing however i got several theories * The real "Story Teller" help Ying's mother to put the sword (the one mentioned by ying that both encore parent saw the play of wooly kingdom) *Encore herself put the sword (but this Encore is also the "Story Teller" which it will dwell on the possibility of time travel) and time travel is possible because she is affiliated with Black Shores *Ying's mother also got the powet herself The first 2 will also resolve the question of who send the letter to Ying .. And like i said to Sensei streams .. it is about the perspective of a child .. that is why some it will not make sense at all .. Theories If Encore wasn't the one sending then there this Person we can call "Story Teller" basically he/she have the same power as Encore or even stronger than Encore .. and we migth see this Story Teller as a playable character .. if He/She Created woolly kingdom ? How many more fantasy words did he/she created ?
Didn't shorekeeper elude to rover being "the creator" of this world in shorekeepers story? And rover had left this world we are in to go and fix the things that originally went wrong when she created it. And if that's the case,it would explain camellyas fixation with rover as she would be a product of rovers making and would also explain why she almost feels like she needs rover to survive,to balance her out,I guess you could say. I really like WuWa, but the story sure is hit and miss. Don't like MC being everyone's favorite, for no reason other than being "the chosen one" (Queue Kung Pow joke of constantly side character screaming "chosen one, chosen one, wee-uu-weee!". Character quests, let them be all about the character's story alone, and not about MC all the time. Let them have their own agency, and not evolve around MC all the time. Bad story writing and fanfiction always fall into these traps of self inserted MC character being on everyone's mind, and all their goals evolve around MC for some odd reason. I just want to be a freaking adventurer in the world of WuWa, Solaris-3, give the players a choice of what type they want the world to interact with them. Maybe at start people could choose characters to call MC as adventurer or whatever neutral slang, or "Chosen one", if they so choose, or had given the game some sort of social status to any characters before their mission unlocks, so you actually need/want interest in said characters, before you even get their trust. A lot to ask for, in a gacha above all, but hey, maybe one day we'll have gacha open world games, who has an actual open world of sandbox, with gacha added to it, in however 'not too bad' ways.

31:00 ying story was only for last cutscene to show her mother instead of encore i think and also that if anyone have similiar problem she is not alone so they can chear up each other. Intresting fact 22:30 about subject of overclocking was in her quest before fight where we see her alter ego we cant really use her resonance skill where her hair are red only when we take the seed in domain and also when we hit the boss fight we cant leave that red stance until the end of the fight this was really fun and good story gimick but i think no one give a fk about it
I do agree with you guys...WW's storytelling is more of a miss than a hit still. Too much flash than substance and there're rarely any dire situations happening in the story or chars. By perspective, Nikke just dropped a fantastic (but depressing story) where the current Nikke Cinderella lost her sanity through manipulation and she did sacrifices to prove she can save humanity even tho she is damn to eternity in their eyes. Even her creator, once an intelligent being kept her comatose sleep state to the point that through many years, she lost her intelligence...how's that for a story, it all bolts down into the entire lore and world building of Nikke.
What do you think if they add some brutal scenes in 1.0? Rover really dont have anything to make him/herself to help people around him. He need something to push his personality to care for others. In the first act, i think we need npcs to die first like after when we woke up then meet our first tacet discord, there are npcs fighting for their life. 1 of them got crushed by tacet discord, 1 of them got overclocking and then 1 of them turn and become a tacet discord. It will make mc have mixed feeling and to acknowledge that the world is so dangerous.

Here are my TOP 10 (Yes, you heard that right!) Wuwa companion stories: 1. Encore (26:50 I have to disagree about Ying. Ying made it possible to show the compassion Encore has for her situation. Encore put Ying before herself even though they were essentially in the same situation (though Encore a bit older, and worked through it a bit more), and I think that's beautiful. Putting a copy of Encore there wouldn't have the same effect, at all. I think she might be my favorite npc in the game, at least, and it would be cool to see Encore be good friends with her when she visits again in the future. I think the fact that they can bond over their shared circumstances is really good stuff. Enough glazing though. Lol.) 2. - 3. Changli 4. Jiyan 5. - 6. - 7. Yinlin 8. Camellya 9. Zhezhi 10. Lingyang
I completely agree. Encore instantly noticing what happened to Ying was a great way to show her maturity. At the end I'm not sure if Encore saw her mother in the end but if she didn't it showed how compassionate she was by allowing Ying to see her mother and not see her own

Companion quest is about the character and they are in blackshore where MC is the leader of course they will around MC . if this game not about MC this it will be just like trash genshin when MC is useless

Camellya is only crazy an stalker and sexy...? sorry you need more that to win me, her Story is meh just kinda the same than the Shorekeeper, they try to shoehorn in the she and Rover are going to be something thet they are "destined to be something"... that just F*ing annoys me, with the others lile Changli and Shorekeeper, that is by their own choice to be with us, but with Camellya is destiny? That is just lame and boring. When I was in the photo secrion I was "let me out!, This is painfully boring". So for me it is a 5/10, it could be worst, but watching her die a couple of times, and that Rover is alone by a good chunk of time barely saves it.

I think she might be my favorite npc in the game, at least, and it would be cool to see Encore be good friends with her when she visits again in the future. I think the fact that they can bond over their shared circumstances is really good stuff. Enough glazing though. Lol.)

I completely agree. Encore instantly noticing what happened to Ying was a great way to show her maturity. At the end I'm not sure if Encore saw her mother in the end but if she didn't it showed how compassionate she was by allowing Ying to see her mother and not see her own

Lol do you know this is Companion quest? 1.0 and 2.0 is the world quest please learn to read first . Companion quest is about the character and they are in blackshore where MC is the leader of course they will around MC . if this game not about MC this it will be just like trash genshin when MC is useless

@@kuro2155Bruh, 4 patches in and Kuro games have FAILED to tell us the Rover's end game. Call Genshin Impact TRASH but the way they deliver their story is VERY EFFICIENT with OVERARCHING PLOTS.
WUWA on the otherhand is a DUMPSTER FIRE of a mess that it makes every hentai anime/game plot to shame

I dislike Camellya, and Her story was painfully boring for me, I would like the game to allow me to be a dick to her, that at least would be fun.
Camellya is only crazy an stalker and sexy...? sorry you need more that to win me, her Story is meh just kinda the same than the Shorekeeper, they try to shoehorn in the she and Rover are going to be something thet they are "destined to be something"... that just F*ing annoys me, with the others lile Changli and Shorekeeper, that is by their own choice to be with us, but with Camellya is destiny? That is just lame and boring.
When I was in the photo secrion I was "let me out!, This is painfully boring".
So for me it is a 5/10, it could be worst, but watching her die a couple of times, and that Rover is alone by a good chunk of time barely saves it.
