She did what she was sent to do by the Almighty, and she did it beautifully.

I was visited by an angel!! My Mom died on June 28, 2023, and we shared a great love for hymns, especially the "old ones." In the process of looking through UA-cam, I suddenly found Joey and Rory. I couldn't believe the beautiful voice of Joey, and I marveled as I listened to each hymn on the Bill Gaither channel. Then, I searched and discovered that Joey had died. It was at that moment that I realized that Joey had come into my life as an angel from heaven, and the comfort that I have felt from listening to Joey and Rory has truly been a blessing in my life!!

I love this beautiful hymn it is in my prayers every day to the Lord. This is such a lovely recording of this precious hymn done by a lovely woman who loved the One she sang about and that shines out from her face and in her voice. Joey & Rory will forever be one of my favourite Duet singers as they are so well matched to each both in voice and heart. 💛💝
I recently (2019, or early 2020) read the husband’s testimony weeping. His overwhelming love for her was so clearly seen on his face!

Dear Brothers and Sisters, do not grieve when a Christian has gone home to be with the Lord. The Lord gives but He does not take away. When Lot said these words He was in a fallen time of testing. I was praying for a dear friend and when he went home to be with the Father, I said, "Father, why did he die?" The Lord (Holy Spirit) said to me, "My son, you do not know what I know. It is not for you to question".
I know she is with our Lord, my heart grieves for the family and most importantly Indy. Joey had a beautiful spirit and was so talented. To leave at such a young age, it's so sad.

Her voice is absolute gorgeous!!! Its sad for her to be gone but I'm glad I get to hear her voice and her story before she passed on.
She had the voice of an angel that gave me a will to live thru many surgeries & a leg amputation. Fortunately, we still have Rory and his girls. I will always play their music! Thank you, Rory, for being so open to her fans. I still cry, too, for her loss, her great faith and her angelic voice.
This wonderful daughter of God moves me to tears with this beautiful hymn. You are quite correct. We have her voice to be with us for as long as we care to listen. The changes in technology have done wonders for preserving her work.
