This is very cool and all.. but also exactly what not to do.. you have your food in your tent, your cooking your food in your tent, and your eating your food in your tent.. for those out in bear or cougar country this is a recipe for disaster.. your teaching bushcraft skills, I wouldn’t demonstrate things that could potentially put people in a lot of danger who don’t know any better.. and let’s be honest, there is a lot of people that don’t know any better and will try to replicate this.. and with your open concept tenting.. your the only buffet here..
You are right. This is a great tip. Folks should remember that I've been doing this for 25+ years and am very comfortable in this part of the world, I know what animals are in the area depending on the season. One thing you don't see, at night I hang my food down wind from camp just incase. But yes I take the risk cooking at camp because for me the risk is low. You should always be cautions when cooking at camp and if you don't know the area cook away from your sleeping area.

Nice to see the fall colors and the end of summer. I bet that apple was good... I used to grill peaches (slice in half, remove pit, grill cut side down just to warm a little). Wife and I will be camping six nights next week in the northern Arizona pines... we should probably get a trail camera to see if we can capture a Joshquatch roaming around in the night! Cheers! Thanks, we're figuring out some menu ideas for next week and warmed up desserts are sounding good with the cool temps we'll be in (mid 40'sF cooling down to 30'sF later in the week for morning lows. Highs are 70F dropping down to 50F during the week). Can't wait, I'm tired of this long drawn out summer we've been having... bundling up a little sounds perfect while being in the pine trees of northern Arizona. Pics soon coming up this week.
