I don't have a problem with "brostep" itself. I just hate it when uneducated Americans think that brostep _is_ dubstep. And worst.... most uneducated Americans just slap "dubstep" to _any_ electronic music genre.
House, future house, bassline, drum and bass? OH no... it's all "dubstep" to them.
This, and riddim are the best styles of dubstep. Melodic can be nice, only sometimes. but that screechy, nagging wife, bass, bullshit, is not my style.

Bristol is the fucking origin of dubstep. Then Americans decided to fuck it up- transfer the psychological qualities of the sound into something that’s solely physical, devoid of any feeling and do their own, utterly obnoxious, militaristic version of it.
@@Maziedivision For what it's worth, I agree with you. Us Americans are anything but subtle. Furthermore, I personally like Bristol dubstep/original dubstep much, MUCH more than American brostep (though I do hate that name). The only thing I was trying to do with my original post was EXACTLY not this. Which is to say, I wanted to comment on the quality and production value of the mix itself instead of debating whether the songs in the mix fit into a certain genre box or not.
@@Maziedivision I was pissed how the same people who made fun of me in high school for liking "techno" went on to enjoy rave bro culture meanwhile completely bastardizing everything about it. Same thing with the metal scene tbh. i remember in 2009 people being like ew, dubstep? now it's a part of every day life to hear edm influenced music.

Tip for a really relaxing time
1.(optional) get stoned or high
2. put this music on at a high volume
3. cover your eyes and plug your nose (breathing from your mouth)
doing this will allow you to really get into the music if you have a good sound system
Why plug your nose? In meditation it's common to breathe in through the nose and exhale through the mouth as this is a simple way of slowing down your breathing.
enleuk I dunno, I was really high did that and its kinda like sensory deprivation, I was really in tune to the music and actually saw patterns that corresponded with the beat.
