My latest flight venture takes me on my furthest route yet, this time round to the city of Los Angeles. This will be my longest flight took so far, coming in at 10 hours and 23 mins. This is also my second time flying with American Airlines, and so far so good.
We start off at a very hazy London, with a departure from 09R, sadly the view over London was really hazy and smoggy, we then vectored north, over Greenland and the north of Canada before heading down the midwest of the USA with some phenomenal views to say the least, including views of Las Vegas. Stunning approach into LAX too, and you can see just how big of a city the Los Angeles area is, absolutely insane! We ended the flight with a very smooth landing on 24R.
Overall a good flight with American, quite a decent selection of movies for a long hour flight too, plenty of entertainment as I showcased onboard. I watched two movies and got about an hours sleep. A lovely smooth flight to say the least

I just love the GE engine sounds on the Boeing 777.
Recently did LHR-MIA on the 777 by American, leg room in standard economy is atrocious. I assume its a high density aircraft. Next time, I'll most certainly book the exit rows. At 6ft 3, I must say I struggled a lot.

You just wasted your money on American Airlines. They are a discrase to the Airline industry. They retired 7 aircraft types and didn't even try to keep them. They Retired thier A330-200s, A330-300s, 767-300s, 757-200, ERJ-190s and ERJ-135s. They claimed they were not efficient which is complete crap, and we all know it. For your return I highly recommend British Airways. Since you would have a chance to fly on the A380 again or the A350-1000.
My return trip was on the A350-1000, I personally enjoyed the flight myself, and I do agree with you about them scrapping aircraft. It is unfortunate
