Death Star DLC - Full Battle Station Gameplay (Rebels)

- In this gameplay video, you will see all 3 phases of the new game mode "Battle Station", played as the rebels.
Attacking and taking out a Star Destroyer in Phase 1,
playing as and rescuing R2-D2 from the Death Star during intense infantry combat in Phase 2
and lastly, blowing up the Death Star itself with no other than Luke Skywalker's Red Five in Phase 3.
How much more iconic can it get? ^^
During the Capture Event for the Death Star DLC, a bunch of different (Star Wars related) UA-camrs and I had the chance to play this upcoming expansion pack early.

Note: This is not a single continuous game. I've chosen different parts of the different stages to make it as entertaining as possible (playing R2-D2 and blowing up the Death Star myself).

Is anyone else sad to see that all of this could have been in the game to start with.
Nah, it made me miss the old space battles from the second battlefront.
I hate people like you. Always saying "oh it's not good because it isn't in the main game" well what would the season pass holders get than, huh? Only makes sense that people who pay money get a lot of extra features get extra and exclusive features.
No before you buy a Season pass you need a complete game everything after should feel new and unique all this game did was give us a $60 dollar demo with $50 extra to get the full experience. It saddens me that the original devs for Battlefront have to see this happen especially when in BF2 they said before it launched they where gonna give us a full game and everything else will be extra some free some paid something that a game that came out 10 years after it should be ashamed of

Man I had an awesome time playing this mode even though this game had its downfalls. But this mode should definetly be in Battlefront 2

This video felt staged. He was the falcon when he destroyed the star destroyer, he was r2d2 when they got r2d2 out and he was luke and he took out the Death Star
It looked like you have to be Luke to destroy the Death Star. The power up that gives health, IIRC, is also the power up to turn you into the hero. So, if he hadn't already been Luke, he would have become him during the run.
Yeah every video I see the guy was Luke when he blew up the Death Star.
@@EDarien this is late, but that is incorrect. It is just far easier and these players know where the tokens are.

battlefront 3, the cancelled game, would've have all of this without the season pass

EA knows how to make good games, it's just that their greed led them to making subpar games by spending very less on game development and more on advertisements so they can make an easy buck off of gullible people, including season passes that aren't even worth it.
How can you say that when no one seen the finished game, if it was so good why was it cancelled?
The DLC is great especially The Death Star DLC, all the AAA Titles have paid for DLC except GTAV and I believe Titanfall 2 doesn't. Is this right no, but it's how the game industry works now.
It was canceled because Disney brought the rights to the franchise and cancelled pretty much everything to do with the EU. Same reason why the bounty hunter game got cancelled I'm pretty sure. It was not a reflection of the quality of the game (which, if you've seen even brief gameplay clips of, you'll know it far surpasses the garbage EA churned out)

I watched this video about 5 times and the 5th time I finally noticed him
this stage was fantastic....the look, sound and feel of this game is unmatched. The chaos durig R2's rescue and firing the proton missiles at the exhaust port were probably the most fun I had in any SW game ever.

So bad that you cannot simply take your character and enter the cockpit of a fighter and fly off, seamless integration between space and land is what this game lacks.
Still perplexes me that the originals had that but this doesn't 7 years later.
Nothing more satisfying than flying out of a hanger into a battlefield to then board an enemy star cruiser and fight as a soldier.
For a game designed by dice, this is so disappointing that they didn't implement more from Battlefield in that aspect.
Khan Green Yes i agree, simply amazing to be honest. It just has to do with budget and timeframe in my opinion. I mean those working here in Stockholm at DICE aren't different from us. They agree with this too but still this was never pushed through in production. The simplest explanation is often the right one: Blame EA hehe ;)
Battlefront II is still the best. It staggers me they can't just do the same with these graphics.

Dude, if you only knew the tremendous amount of work that flows into the creation of all these expansion packs and consider how quickly they get each of them done, how many new stuff and improvements they bring into it, 25 bucks is literally as cheap as you can get.

Tesko249 I know, I've seen the amount of detail. But I've had difficulty finding a server when Bespin was free.
What I found interesting is that when you destroyed a TIE, it said something like "TIE Defender" and "TIE Bomber". If there are more variants of the TIE you can play as, it will be VERY exciting!
Well, lore wise there are multiple variants of the TIE fighter. There is the old fashioned one, the interceptor, the defender, bomber and advanced. These appear in game. The TIE phantom doesn't because it supposedly a prototype design and is equipped with cloaking systems, shields and a hyperdrive. I think you can see why it wasn't added.
Well not just that, the Phantom variant is Legends content.
Of course, the Defender variant was as well, I'm surprised to see it in here.

Death Star Troopers and Commanders do have customizable heads
so stormies on all maps are now forced to wear helmets except on the death Star?

Thanks for the game play I finally saw what happens when R2D2 life goes down he stays still. I was watching BattlefrontUpdate stream lol but R2D2 always reached the destination.

I think they should've made the last part of the trench run a really long path. Make it like a chase and the x-wing trying to out run all the tie fighters. That would've been fun
That's was probably the most cooled/ crazy things I've seen in this game, the 2nd phase had so much going on but I didn't really understand the 3rd phase tho, I wouldn't even mind dying a lot of times, that just looked cool

I think it would've been really cool to actually let you pilot the Y-Wings and TIE Bombers. They really need to come out with something playable for both the B-Wing and the TIE Defender

hey Tesko I was wondering if you have any tips for winning one on one gun fights. I usually find myself losing in that kind of situation and I just wondering if you know what I could do anything to improve that.
Having a better gun for the right situation would be a good way to start.

I attempted the trench run a few times, but it never showed the waypoints for me so I had no idea where i was going.
Playing R2 seems as the most refreshing aspect of this :D
How do you fire the torpedo at the end? You just lock on and it does it automatically?
The pickup fighters are so op.
When it's the AI controlling it, it kinda has to be.

So you are able to play as tie bomber or b wing as support for darts Vader and Luke skywalker??..and what about the y wing pick ups...and I saw a tie defender in the video?
Y-Wings, B-Wings, TIE-Bombers and TIE-Defenders are AI that will follow you if you grab their pickup.
They cannot be controlled by players.
What sensitivity do you use? I can never get it to feel quite right.

While this gameplay and death star dlc is quite impressive, I have already given up on battlefront as I can't bother with wifi issues during multi-player and paying so much extra money for this content.
