How a Breakdancing Boomer Became Valorant's Most Infuriating One Trick

  • Nowadays, competitive shooters are becoming more and more geared towards a younger generation.
Apex is for zoomers who dry-scoop G-Fuel, Fortnite is for literal fetuses and even now, in 2022, we now have actual teenagers competing in - and, some cases, winning - CS:GO Majors.
As things get more elaborate and fast paced, the players who are a bit older can find themselves out of their element in a genre they practically birthed. But there are still old timers out there who enjoy a challenge. Those who aren't deterred by the skill of the middle schoolers who are coming for their crown but inspired by it.
Meet Perry2N, the Cali-raised, breakdancing-boomer who has recently been making waves as a Valorant content creator. Not for nutty flicks or outrageous one taps, but mathematical lineups and methodical mind games that he uses to turn his weaknesses into strengths.
So, how did your run of the mill CSGO “boomer” turn into a Radiant Stimdaddy main? What pushed Perry to throw himself into the world of memes and content creation? And most importantly, how have his infamous mollies become every player's worst nightmare?

I play a lot like this with Viper and always have, but Brim has one thing that Viper doesn’t:
Viper’s mollies do damage, but in order to get kills with them, you have to throw her orb onto the spike and activate it along with the mollies. In most cases, this means she has to enter site. Brim, on the other hand, can win a round without ever even being on site. It’s insane and one of the reasons I love playing him and was so glad to find Perry.

Aim is still kinda needed you just don't need to be the one with the fastest reaction time and craziest flicks.
I feel like valorant really nails the balance between CS go and Overwatch. It's not as bullshit and ability/agent reliant as overwatch nor as heavily technical as CS.
While overwatch has a skill floor that's below hell since the game is honestly just not balanced and you can wreck people with minimal skill and brain on an OP character. CS on the other hand feels like you need to spend at least 1 years of intensive training to even be able to survie a millisecond without getting wrecked. Valorant takes a few months to really click if it's your first competitive fps but meanwhile you're put with people of your skill without feeling like the game punishes you for not spending your whole life on it.

Especially when (my experience with ow2) the game's voice chat mechanic is really bad and nobody uses it. I'm new to the game so I might just not have discovered how to do this. But the game seems to force you to either be in team chay or part chat. Unlike valorant where you can communicate with both your team and crew with the press of a bouton. Additionally I have yet to hear anyone aside of my part mates in voice chat on quick play. And it doesn't help that the text chat gets clogged by a shit ton of useless in-game info.

"you're so cringe/are a f-ing nerd" is the reason why I learn lineups anyway. It's like someone say you're cheating because you're really good.

I basically play brim to fill smokes on every map and because I too, am a videogame boomer. Inspired to learn lineups because of this guy

just like some people say, "they will hate you if you're different".
Perry show he can be aggresive using brim, that make them caught off-guard, you need confidence and understand your opponent. that's a skill!

don't be fooled by how easy perry makes it look it's not just learning lineups and using it right away....lineups you can learn in 5 mins but knowing when to use the lineups is the hardest like if you just plant and go for the lienups youre basically baiting your whole team when fighting with them could've been better

its still funny to see people who gets so tilted when they die on enemy line ups, but the moment one of their team wins on line up they pop off like crazy

Yea, thats like the only style I could maybe dominate in games like Valorant, but I must admit, as much as Im tryharding school, I gave up on this. Now I rather admit that I cant play this type of games and play instead something as Rocket League, Forza or chill as Snowrunner. But dude, this is what I always like the most. When somebody doesnt necessarily obey the rules and goes by his own path to the success. Nice video.... ;)

What Perry2n doing is perfectly fair. He put in the work. Teams need to change their strategies to account for utility players like him. But if Riot does choose to make nerfs the worst they should do is marginally decrease the molly's duration.

Valorant was my first fps, rn I have 2000h and peaked in immortal and I also have quite a unique playstyle, I've been a cypher main ever since beta and recently picked up yoru, basically I excel on off meta agents, people just never see or expect the cypher one ways, cameras in the weirdest places, the amount of times I clutched a 1v1 post plant just by placing a camera in the line of sight of the spike is truly laughable mind you it's against immortals, both these agents excel at lurking and believe or not when it comes to yoru, but info gathering too, his ult is the obvious one but a clone is also a great tool, just like the brimstone molly cyphers camera is overpowered, ofc for the obvious effing camera in an fps but also if u master cypher u can use the cam as sort of a flash if u know that enemies are there, u pop it close to the corner and swing instantly, people instinctively flick to the cam and assume you're gonna play passive at the moment and use it for info when in fact u're using it to offset their crosshair and surprise them, it's also great to get oppers out of agressive angles, either they shoot the cam and are vulnerable for a short period or they ignore it, get tagged and get sprayed through a wall

I’m waiting for pros/content creators in Valorant goto documentary/origin videos (specifically THIS one) about the Lovely Perry here and see his past stats, past games, past hobbies and be like:
“Holy shit is it the actually Brimstone??”
“So that is how I am getting rekted from Perry’s brimstone cringefest”
“Man, he’s a actual boomer, just like Brimstone”
“So that is a certified nerd there”
And I would be like and I bet the fan base of Perry as well is: “He is a legend, and should be respected AS a legend”
Then we got smart comments like:
“If it is cringe then why is it in the game? If you want it gone do something then just complain to your screen and your fans”
“This is Valorant…. Anything can happen bro, especially this Brimstone tactic bro”
“He is more intelligent than you think in your whole life pal”
“Guns, abilities, and the map itself made this happen, he was the first to discover it, and now he will become a legend over it”
And to the haters and fans to Perry here I gotta say for myself to his Brimstone gameplay: i agree, he may be a lot of things, but he is something you are not…… a legendary Brimstone in fucking Radiant….. so you better do something or you are ALL going in his videos and his montages, regular/non popular users, content creators, fucking pros, he will make content of ALL your reactions so yea, change your life choices you hating boomers. Respect the man bro, respect the brimstone. ❤️ ♥️ ❤️
