It's players like Perry that I think truly show how brilliant val is as a comp game. He's an example of how you can trully be a top tier player without the gifted mechanical skills, but instead by studying and being well prepared. Thinking, is a big part, and I love it.
I think there should be a limit to how much you can do without the basic mechanics like aiming, though. The fact that the game basically turns into hide-and-seek once the spike is planted and there's a dumb lineup/ultimate ready from across the map with little to no counterplay isn't exactly good game design.
@@jasontodd9947 So the fact that you can easily buy time for the spike to detonate by being alive while not being required to have an angle on the spike to defend it is perfectly fine with you guys? "Without anybody covering you", so what if there is, then? What exactly is the counterplay strategy for the retakers in that case?
i agree with this, however u gotta understandhow it can be annoying to lose rounds to something you cannot do ANYTHING about aside from targetting the guy. once that molly has been fired, you've lost the round, and its not hard for this dude to send that molly to the stars and down onto the spike to turn the enemies into toast :)
And he took all that, which make those players mad because he has the experience and the mind to make them work in a game that allows him to use those tools.
It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic, yes, many just say it as a joke, they forget the fact that geometry and lineups are a huge part of the kit in those characters and they hate the fact that they don't know how to use it, so they don't know how to fight it or work around it.
I started using Brimstone after watching Perry. Yes its a boring agent but if I am having an off day but still wanna play some Val, MOLLY all the way. I main phoenix mostly but perry really puts sova’s voiceline to play. “If you are not a good shot today, don’t worry there are other ways to be useful”

you got this! ive never been the best aimer in the world, but ive still hit diamond through good teamplay. make sure to not let anyone diss you for not fragging high or winning gunfights, just win rounds in the way you can. (still work on aim though, it always helps)
@@klein5052 B-Mac didn't say you need to shoot good to get good, he only said you need to shoot good to rank up, Also, dexter the viper main doesn't have the most incredible aim for an immortal and yet he's immortal, so i'd have to disagree anyways.
I play a lot like this with Viper and always have, but Brim has one thing that Viper doesn’t: Viper’s mollies do damage, but in order to get kills with them, you have to throw her orb onto the spike and activate it along with the mollies. In most cases, this means she has to enter site. Brim, on the other hand, can win a round without ever even being on site. It’s insane and one of the reasons I love playing him and was so glad to find Perry.
doing lineups is easy but creating for every situation is hard mad respect to this guy reaching radiant on a smart play sometimes shooters ain't always about the aim especially on valorant utilities are one of the best there is
Im so happy the score didnt just portray perry as a lineup larry but also included his shotgun play. Its a big part of the ratty brim picture. Perry and Smacksmackk pulled me out of my 1 trick viper and got me into brim
imagine getting mad that someone who knows theyre not good enough to aim, are good enough to beat you by being smarter, just shows how shit people are in valorant for getting mad at lineups
Oh, Perry has aim, that AWP is lethal on him, but what they hate the most is that, a playstyle that is not trying to 1v5 for highlights can beat them and not only that, make them feel humiliated.
Aim is still kinda needed you just don't need to be the one with the fastest reaction time and craziest flicks. I feel like valorant really nails the balance between CS go and Overwatch. It's not as bullshit and ability/agent reliant as overwatch nor as heavily technical as CS. While overwatch has a skill floor that's below hell since the game is honestly just not balanced and you can wreck people with minimal skill and brain on an OP character. CS on the other hand feels like you need to spend at least 1 years of intensive training to even be able to survie a millisecond without getting wrecked. Valorant takes a few months to really click if it's your first competitive fps but meanwhile you're put with people of your skill without feeling like the game punishes you for not spending your whole life on it.
@@squog8009 Very true indeed. However I really dislike the heavy emphasis on team cohesion. Especially when (my experience with ow2) the game's voice chat mechanic is really bad and nobody uses it. I'm new to the game so I might just not have discovered how to do this. But the game seems to force you to either be in team chay or part chat. Unlike valorant where you can communicate with both your team and crew with the press of a bouton. Additionally I have yet to hear anyone aside of my part mates in voice chat on quick play. And it doesn't help that the text chat gets clogged by a shit ton of useless in-game info. It reallt makes thr game feel like you need to be a 5 person squad to ever really play well.
Actually fought against perry once, it was the most painstaking fight I have ever done. My team wasn't bad its just that when we have a confirmed defuse perry's molly appear out of nowhere and destroy us.
Although i also do get frustrated from these lineups too, but then at the end of the day, i think man i cannot put myself to work learning these lineups so come on call whatever you want to call them. They are just putting in the work that you are not willing it too. If working hard is cringe so why not be cringe.
The old 'if you don't play like me or think like me, you are cringe', but like Íñigo Montoya once said, that word they keep using, I don't think it means what they think it means.
As much as I hate being on the receiving end of lineups no matter which agent it’s also respectable to a point because u need to put a lot of hrs to learn them especially if you want multiple options for the same spot etc.. 😅
As a student of the art of lineups, it's much more than just "getting into the spot" especially with the more common spots that more experienced players counter or flank these spots, it's learning when to actually opt to lineup in valuable aspects. Not just leaving essentially baiting out your team just to do lineups with enough spare time to push and kill you. I know this aint the point of the comment, just wanted to share my POV
@@joewhosjoe2233 Yeah that's one thing that's rubbed me the wrong way about a bunch of the clips you end up seeing. Someone leaves what would be a nearly unlosable post plant to play lineups and the round ends with only them alive rather than them and their teammates alive.
What Perry does shows how interesting Valorant can be, how many different ways to play the game can exist at the same time, and that is only for the better for the game itself; every time someone says 'you can't play like that', well, why not? Is in the kit, is in the game already, is not breaking or glitching or hacking, it is literally an option in the game. For those that think that there is only 1 way to really play a tactical shooter, well, Perry is ready to burn them into ashes.
Gotta be one of my fave videos. I love the appreciation for the creativity of using all the different tools valo agents have to offer. At the end of the day, it's in the game, you can't really blame them for utilizing it to the best of their ability.
perry made his own playstyle, and to some because it doesnt line with their playstyles or what is considered as a general playstyle, they see him as cringe, in my opinion valorant is better played on how you wanna play it, much like red for fake cloning yoru, fishy chair for onetapping with a guardian, perry made his own playstyle that fits him. and i love it
i mean there is a way to kill lineup larrys. 1. Have a lurker or pair of lurkers wrap the attackers and deny the safe areas that lineups are usually. 2. hard push out with util 3. use info util (fade haunt, sova dart, dogs cats and drones) to scout out the usual line up areas.
don't be fooled by how easy perry makes it look it's not just learning lineups and using it right away....lineups you can learn in 5 mins but knowing when to use the lineups is the hardest like if you just plant and go for the lienups youre basically baiting your whole team when fighting with them could've been better
It's players like Perry that make these games infinitely more interesting to watch. Frustrating to play against, sure 😂 But good and interesting overall for the game. A good player is a good player.

the dream comp would be perry on brim with the awp, fishychair on chamber with the guardian, skullyjai on reyna with the stinger, dasnerf on cypher with the judge, and quarky on neon with a bucky
just like some people say, "they will hate you if you're different". Perry show he can be aggresive using brim, that make them caught off-guard, you need confidence and understand your opponent. that's a skill!
no no no, I don't want Riot see this and nerf Brim's molly. I saw this kinda pattern happened before, Riot thought one character was broken and then they nerfed him. Yes, I'm talking about Sion from League of Legends. Once bausffs got recognized from Korean soloQ, Riot hard nerfed Sion.
A sniper machine, a shotgun menace, and a lineup larry. Man, Perry himself is op. Imagine him playing with other nerds like AverageJonas or Acre, and other shotgun menace like Quarkwy or Dasnerth. I wanna see them play together; Perry as Brim, Jonas as Sova, Acre as Cypher, and Quarkwy as Neon. The most annoying, nerdiest team ever. 😂😂
What a sad world we live in ... he puts so much effort in finding his own way and because people are not used to it or don't like it he is "cringe" and "the nerd"? I mean what the fuck, since when is putting in the work cringe worthy or asking for insults??. Encourage that man and many more to follow their own damn paths and do not force them to comply with "unwritten rules".
I suck at Valorants shooting mechanics, so I don't play duelists. I also play Brimstone and play lineups and I just see it as an alternative way to win rounds. I love Perry2Ns videos and try to imitate him sometimes, maybe someday I'll be as good as him
What Perry2n doing is perfectly fair. He put in the work. Teams need to change their strategies to account for utility players like him. But if Riot does choose to make nerfs the worst they should do is marginally decrease the molly's duration.
I love how Brim OTPs are the players who generate most hate in the community. Everytime I see a streamer playing against an Brim OTP, they get tilted lmao
its still funny to see people who gets so tilted when they die on enemy line ups, but the moment one of their team wins on line up they pop off like crazy
13:10 like that criticism is what they used to say about khan in LoL And look at the respect they give him now If it shouldn't be played that way, why is it in the game, creativity is what makes you a better player, instead of sticking "to the meta"
As usually flashy-damage players cry that they can't 1v9 against good utility/position-oriented players. It's so in literally every game with class-system and ig it will never change.
Valorant was my first fps, rn I have 2000h and peaked in immortal and I also have quite a unique playstyle, I've been a cypher main ever since beta and recently picked up yoru, basically I excel on off meta agents, people just never see or expect the cypher one ways, cameras in the weirdest places, the amount of times I clutched a 1v1 post plant just by placing a camera in the line of sight of the spike is truly laughable mind you it's against immortals, both these agents excel at lurking and believe or not when it comes to yoru, but info gathering too, his ult is the obvious one but a clone is also a great tool, just like the brimstone molly cyphers camera is overpowered, ofc for the obvious effing camera in an fps but also if u master cypher u can use the cam as sort of a flash if u know that enemies are there, u pop it close to the corner and swing instantly, people instinctively flick to the cam and assume you're gonna play passive at the moment and use it for info when in fact u're using it to offset their crosshair and surprise them, it's also great to get oppers out of agressive angles, either they shoot the cam and are vulnerable for a short period or they ignore it, get tagged and get sprayed through a wall
Can’t stand people in Valorant telling you not to use weapons or kit that’s in the game. Like if you’re bad maybe try a different approach, but getting salty because someone’s using the mechanics of the game as intended is childish.
I wish we didn't keep pushing this narrative that as you get older you suck at aiming, it's a skill that takes work to upkeep just like anything else. Look at people like s1mple, he's 25, almost to 30 and he is one of the most cracked players in the world.
Also just as a side note, it's pretty hilarious how valorant players react to cold calculated playstyles. For every strat there is a counter, you just gotta be smart enough and creative enough to find it

the dream comp would be perry on brim with the awp, fishychair on chamber with the guardian, skullyjai on reyna with the stinger, dasnerf on cypher with the judge, and quarky on neon with a bucky
I can figuratively feel Perry's presence in my sserver when I see a Brim on the enemy.
Always.
Sick to see perry2n getting some love he always so genuine on his youtube chanel and the guys a beast
just like some people say, "they will hate you if you're different".
We can't forget about Smack Smack either. His in depth molly lineups are so well done.
Calvin/SmackSmack is a Brim OG too!!
He even knife enemies inside smokes which is impressive.
"a boomer."
*Puts on hat*
"PERRY THE BOOMER?!"
ahahah thank you for that Brim "molly" impression, was perfect
A sniper machine, a shotgun menace, and a lineup larry. Man, Perry himself is op. Imagine him playing with other nerds like AverageJonas or Acre, and other shotgun menace like Quarkwy or Dasnerth. I wanna see them play together; Perry as Brim, Jonas as Sova, Acre as Cypher, and Quarkwy as Neon. The most annoying, nerdiest team ever. 😂😂
No way this video gets uploaded the day Perry motivates me into maining Brim
If it wasn't for you guys and this channel i wouldn't be up to date on all these esports scenes, players, and content creators so thanks
"Fortnite is for literal fetuses" got me teared up laughing
I suck at Valorants shooting mechanics, so I don't play duelists. I also play Brimstone and play lineups and I just see it as an alternative way to win rounds. I love Perry2Ns videos and try to imitate him sometimes, maybe someday I'll be as good as him
Perry2N and Calvin my masters and the reason why I started playing valorant 4 months ago.
Thought this was about smacksmack but I like Perry too. Good video
What Perry2n doing is perfectly fair. He put in the work. Teams need to change their strategies to account for utility players like him. But if Riot does choose to make nerfs the worst they should do is marginally decrease the molly's duration.
I basically play brim to fill smokes on every map and because I too, am a videogame boomer. Inspired to learn lineups because of this guy
I love how Brim OTPs are the players who generate most hate in the community. Everytime I see a streamer playing against an Brim OTP, they get tilted lmao
Brimstone literally have some tricks up his sleeve 💀
I feel like this is how he is supposed to be played
He may be past his days of taps and sprays but he picks up a shorty and his enemies starts to pray
-master oogway
I love how I saw all Perrys clips when I only saw his channel for the first time last week
its still funny to see people who gets so tilted when they die on enemy line ups, but the moment one of their team wins on line up they pop off like crazy
15:10 I just realized he's using his ultimate to lineup the molly. gaddem.
My guy is the first valorant radiant to who touches grass and actually showers... impossible
Perry the OG Radiant Brim with AWP, shorty and jugde. Max respect!!!
13:10 like that criticism is what they used to say about khan in LoL
And look at the respect they give him now
If it shouldn't be played that way, why is it in the game, creativity is what makes you a better player, instead of sticking "to the meta"
Could you guys make a video for Kaemi? His marshal is pretty good you know
This is why i like more molly line ups and one ways more than a dash jett or chamber tp.
Calling intelligent play cringe is embarrassing.
He's was literally knows on the overreach community as "the reaper one trick guy that walks in straight lines" and he would pop off
What a good reaction from n0thing! "I can only respect that"
The president of Brim nation reppin us old dogs. Love the content and inspirational.
As the famous scientist out there said, "CURSED YOU PERRY THE BRIMSTONE MAIN!!!"
As usually flashy-damage players cry that they can't 1v9 against good utility/position-oriented players. It's so in literally every game with class-system and ig it will never change.
I love the idea that Perry pulled a Danny Glover, said, "I'm too ol for this sheit-" and roleplayed that to radiant.
What’s the problem with valorant players? Every time someone does something unusual and unconventional, many of them start acting braindead
Can’t stand people in Valorant telling you not to use weapons or kit that’s in the game. Like if you’re bad maybe try a different approach, but getting salty because someone’s using the mechanics of the game as intended is childish.
So right now we have :
Grimm Sage
Perry Brim
Tenz Jett
Filghts Raze
Anymore?
i used to play shotgun brim in act 1. i left it cause i don't get enough support in plat lobby. now I'm imagining omen
3:18 is a great line wtf
People will say this is cringe but they don't counterplay him properly which is why he accels so well so I respect him
He's the reason I'm a brim main. I use his lineups everyday!
imagine smokes extinguish mollies in valorant the way they do in csgo
I wish we didn't keep pushing this narrative that as you get older you suck at aiming, it's a skill that takes work to upkeep just like anything else. Look at people like s1mple, he's 25, almost to 30 and he is one of the most cracked players in the world.
Also just as a side note, it's pretty hilarious how valorant players react to cold calculated playstyles. For every strat there is a counter, you just gotta be smart enough and creative enough to find it
