To each is own, I guess. I personally don’t think they’re ‘awful’, I actually think they make the Mustang look badass and very memorable. Yeah, one could say flame vinyls on a car in general are a dated look, but eh. I still like them on some cars 😆
Those M3 GTR shots in the original Most Wanted cutscenes look so good, even if they were low res. The clean shiny blue and silver livery, those rims, the aggressive wide-body kit, plus the silver-tinted windows makes it look so eye-catching. And being the center of attention in the most memorable NFS game ever helps too.

now that i thought bout it, this list is complied with cars that appeared in nfs titles before 2010. And there ain't much to talk bout cars in the 2010 and beyond for some reasons i do not know from the popularity's perspective.
I personally think Jack's Super Snake from The Run is underrated. That car was aggressive, as a Shelby 'Stang should. Also, Jack's M3 GTS was attractive.
@@rezandigiga5461 the Zonda Cinque was from the cover, trailer and advertising for NFS Hot Pursuit 2010, the design is unique to that game and they created a real life variant for one of the advertising videos. The F12 Berlinnetta was the cover car for NFS Rivals, including all the E3 gameplay, trailers, etc.

Although I'm 2 years late, yes i agree. At the time when the NFS series was still fresh , the f1 was the car we all wanted to get. It was damn fast and just looked so damn good, especially the longtail version(gtr). It really felt like an end game reward that was just faster than anything else. But in the end NFS have plenty of iconic cars. The clk gtr was also quite amazing. An honorable mention should go to the diablo , it was the poster car for the early titles and have been in most of the NFS titles.
No doubt the first place is just the perfect. I’m pretty sure literally every player was either searching for the iconic BMW M3 GTR or try to modify just like the one… Man this just takes me back…
great list. I think 8:53 will be remembered as Papi's Camaro and how game just teased us by now allowing us to select it. That Polestar 1 will be remembered as well, just because how crazy it looks, and in NFS No Limits it sorta is a big deal car because EA added a grind to acquire the car(which I failed).
I honestly can't argue with this list. You should do a list of your favorite starter cars in this series, that would be cool (Hopeful that the AE86 will make that list)
The M3 GTR absolutley deserves the top spot. The legacy and influence this car left behind is so great that, efforts to remake the car not just in newer NFS games but in other racing games such as Forza and Gran Turismo.
Sorry if this is a weird request but could you cover the Dodge Viper GTS-R Concept car? I remember it as the meanest car from my childhood and as the final boss car from Test Drive on the PS2. Thank you!
Great vid! Both GTRs are for sure my favs, along with the Diablo SV from NFS3 On the topic of NFS, I HIGHLY suggest this Skyline addon mod for NFSMW. It includes the C-WEST kit (probably converted from SRS) and it's fully customizable. He did a fantastic job. This is the most fun I ever had with MW. It's only missing the C West wing, but even so it's a very well made mod. It includes both the 2F2F and Eddie's liveries. It's a fantastic experience to see the Skyline with the C West kit, in this level of detail, with the great old Underground 2-esque sound and arguably in the best NFS gaming experience (running away from the cops in the C west R34 is a blast). It uses the unused Skyline sound from the game and it sounds absolutely incredible after you tune it. (Apparently it uses the sound of a 240sx when stock or something). Funny thing, I even replaced the Supra sound with this one, cause the supra used 350z sounds in the game lol Have fun! I agree with your list. Infact, your list is exactly the same as mine except one thing. My number one favorite iconic car is the Acura integra type R that you use in the first race in NFS underground 1. For me, that car is where it all started from supercars to imports. And it shows us about how import cars can be awesome. Plus, the integra is underrated... I like your vid btw
Why does almost no one talk about the Integra? It's awesome! I remember immediately quitting the game after the first race because I didn't want it to go away. Shame that the bonus cars in UG1 have few, if any performance upgrades (the later games at least gave them nitro).
For me Joe's Polestar 1 is highly iconic it has all the ingredients of a classic, we play it long enough (Just) to enjoy it, know it and even love it if you're open minded, (I know being from the old school myself can be hard) it has unique body parts making it rarer and more exclusive; I think the thing that stops cars in NFS series being as iconic as yesteryear is the fact that with the vinyl editing we can make replicas... in tears gone by the really rare cars had vinyls you could never get in game or the car itself was totally exclusive and unobtainable. The new bread are kind of up against it from us older players but I really don't think we should right them off instantly imo.
I think an honorable mention is Nakai's Porsche RSR. With that body kit and just pure control and speed, it rivals the M3 in performance and it is just flat out nuts in cornering.
I know this one is shadowed by the E46 M3. But Ray Krieger's E92 M3 is pretty recognizable. Always loved the M3 lineage but those 2 in particular were always eye-candy for me.
Not even an honorable mention of the Diablo police cruiser from HP2? Love that thing. "31 county" "I copy 31" " turning on a speeder that just flew by me!"
M3 GT2 for my honorable mention. Because I had a 7-8 year gap from playing NFS since HP2, that car got me to love and appreciate BMWs WAY more than I did initially did before. It’s what got me to go back to love the GTR as well
Skyline looks good in blue or silver like in fast furious. It’s the best however can’t argue much because we fell in love with M3 GTR also 🤩. Imagine owning both of these or atleast one in real.

Melissa's Mitsubishi Eclipse from Underground is the reason the Eclipse is my favourite car. It just looked so damn awesome in the opening, left an everlasting impression on me.
The Polestar is actually pretty iconic as it has been built into an actual car in real life and they even just released a lego kit of it. Most of the cars on this list have yet to be attempted in real life replicas. But my true love will always be Eddie's Eastsiderz Skyline! #1 in my book.😎👍🏁
Well the correct term would be nfs most wanted remastered. The 2012 most wanted 2 was an embarrassment. Although It has the best graphics of all games that I have.
3 criteria that how I really love and like the BMW M3 GTR:- 1. Spoiler - and I think that nobody expected a car with a close-limousine appearance but still as a race car, other than it has a nice spoiler(i mean, do a BMW really need a spoiler to show off people around??) 2. Engine sound - it has a good engine performance, with a turbo system applies and because of that this car really attracted any NFS gamers out there 3. Bodypaint - to be honest, it's funny for making a car that suits any street race event as a simple body design with a silver-blue straight pattern. Why? Because you know those street racers, they do have a car with thunder/fire/any tribal pattern on his car(you know what I mean) .. but, even with this BMW M3 GTR people still love the car!!
Some honorable mentions: Shelby Super Snake from the run BMW m3 gts jack edition from the run Scorpio evo from carbon Porsche 918 rsr from the run Mustang rtr-x from the run / world. You could say that this is sort of the predecessor to the hoonicorn. Zonda cinque nfs edition from hot pursuit
Fun fact about Rachel's 350Z: You can make the same 350Z without mods all vinyls, parts the car even has trunk speakers are in the game (seen in the demo version)!
don't really want to argue a lot but this one hurts: Le Mans Quattro basically has a twin-turbocharged 1st gen Gallardo V10 engine and its sound (it, CGT and LFA all sound somewhat similar due to even-firing order for their V10s, while 5.2 engine from newer Gallardo, R8 and Huracan is odd-firing)
The m3 gtr in most wanted and carbon looks and sounds like chassis #001 in real life but in heat it looks like chassis #001 and sounds like chassis #004 Edited a typo
@@illusion86ln every m3 gtr is slightly different than the other, different bodykits, spoilers, and tweaks to the engine They are all the same p60b40 engine but it differs from a gtr to another it's either cams, exhaust, throttle bodies etc....
The only difference I spot with the engine sounds of the M3 between NFS MW and Heat is that MW uses interior sounds while the Heat uses exterior sounds
I believe the Rivera Camaro is Iconic, same with the Payback hero cars, Tyler's GT-R, Mac's 55 Bel-Air and Jess's M5, all had an impact on me when playing the campaigns of those games
The m3 GTR may have a bad record of being totaled in the games: Its engine dies in MW, and after those events cross catches up and the m3 is totaled again. Then comes heat in which YOU have to wreck it to stop Lt. Mercer.
My absolute favourite car from nfs (of course after the m3) is eclipse from first nfs underground intro, it is the only intro in games I never skipped, absolutely love it, so nostalgic to play it now
There are many comments below, some with really cool cars like Samantha's Civic, but i think, more I miss the Aki Kimura's FD (RX-7). As I remember, that Mazda also appeared in modern NFS, Payback probably... Anyway great list and I really agree with it!

IMO the McLaren F1 could've easily been replaced by:

2. NFS Edition Pagani Zonda Cinque (Orange)
3. Ferrari F12 Berlinnetta

Mclaren F1 was so special, even without any special mods/liveries make it into top 10. The top 3 cars are not surprising though, as we all know.

I know this one is shadowed by the E46 M3. But Ray Krieger's E92 M3 is pretty recognizable. Always loved the M3 lineage but those 2 in particular were always eye-candy for me.

M3 GT2 for my honorable mention. Because I had a 7-8 year gap from playing NFS since HP2, that car got me to love and appreciate BMWs WAY more than I did initially did before. It’s what got me to go back to love the GTR as well

The Polestar is actually pretty iconic as it has been built into an actual car in real life and they even just released a lego kit of it. Most of the cars on this list have yet to be attempted in real life replicas. But my true love will always be Eddie's Eastsiderz Skyline! #1 in my book.😎👍🏁

Well the correct term would be nfs most wanted remastered. The 2012 most wanted 2 was an embarrassment. Although It has the best graphics of all games that I have.

3 criteria that how I really love and like the BMW M3 GTR:-
1. Spoiler - and I think that nobody expected a car with a close-limousine appearance but still as a race car, other than it has a nice spoiler(i mean, do a BMW really need a spoiler to show off people around??)
2. Engine sound - it has a good engine performance, with a turbo system applies and because of that this car really attracted any NFS gamers out there
3. Bodypaint - to be honest, it's funny for making a car that suits any street race event as a simple body design with a silver-blue straight pattern. Why? Because you know those street racers, they do have a car with thunder/fire/any tribal pattern on his car(you know what I mean) .. but, even with this BMW M3 GTR people still love the car!!

don't really want to argue a lot but this one hurts: Le Mans Quattro basically has a twin-turbocharged 1st gen Gallardo V10 engine and its sound (it, CGT and LFA all sound somewhat similar due to even-firing order for their V10s, while 5.2 engine from newer Gallardo, R8 and Huracan is odd-firing)
Honestly I forgot what the uneven Lambo V10 sounded like so that's a good point lol, it just reminded me more of the CGT than the 5.0 V10

@@illusion86ln every m3 gtr is slightly different than the other, different bodykits, spoilers, and tweaks to the engine
They are all the same p60b40 engine but it differs from a gtr to another it's either cams, exhaust, throttle bodies etc....
The only difference I spot with the engine sounds of the M3 between NFS MW and Heat is that MW uses interior sounds while the Heat uses exterior sounds

I believe the Rivera Camaro is Iconic, same with the Payback hero cars, Tyler's GT-R, Mac's 55 Bel-Air and Jess's M5, all had an impact on me when playing the campaigns of those games

The m3 GTR may have a bad record of being totaled in the games:
Its engine dies in MW, and after those events cross catches up and the m3 is totaled again. Then comes heat in which YOU have to wreck it to stop Lt. Mercer.
The M3 GTR is one of those cars which cannot get replaced or forgetted because it took a place of our fathers hearts when they played it
My absolute favourite car from nfs (of course after the m3) is eclipse from first nfs underground intro, it is the only intro in games I never skipped, absolutely love it, so nostalgic to play it now
There are many comments below, some with really cool cars like Samantha's Civic, but i think, more I miss the Aki Kimura's FD (RX-7). As I remember, that Mazda also appeared in modern NFS, Payback probably...
