Thank you bro! Useful video! I kept wondering why mine wasn’t working. But that was because I had my iPhone still in the controller. 😂 When you lifted your hands up…. I said duh lol
Can you please clarify something for me as Ive just Ordered an Xbox controller for iphone and Android with USB-C and Im worried I may have got the wrong one I have an Android phone for initial set up, and I have a USB-C ipad Pro running 17.5.1 ios which I intend to use with the backbone. The Backbone has a lightening port on the bottom right hand side, so I have ordered a Apple USB-C to lightening cable for connection. Does this sound right to you? Ive seen so many videos on here, some saying it works, others saying it doesn't. I do understand that the Subscription is necessary in order to use the any screen facility, but I just want reassurance that my setup to ipad description is accurate as you sound very knowledgeable on this subject. Many thanks
I think I understand but you may have an issue setting up the BackBone app to begin to use the any screen feature. From what I can remember since you have a lightning Backbone you will need an iPhone to go through the setup process on the Backbone app unless the company made software changes to the app. Honestly you might be better with just using a bluetooth controller with your iPad to avoid the subscription cost and potential setup issues. Can you explain what the Xbox controller is for as I am confused on how it's need for the backbone controller iPad set up.
Did you have the cable connected the whole time when u syncing the backbone to the mac? Like was it connect from the beginning of the video ( with the phone ) and without the phone?
So I need to have an app installed on my Mac? I can play games that are on my Xbox one with my backbone one. I have the blue light. But when I connect my controller it take my MacBook to the list of apps.. Like it’s looking for an App that should be installed on my Mac. What am I doing wrong?
Hey Mike I made another video going over Backbone+ which I was unaware about when making this video. If you recently bought your backbone controller you should have a free year or if you're considered an early buyer you get it for free forever. ua-cam.com/video/0Xzw_mpDL9g/v-deo.html&pp=ygUVVGhvdWdodHMgb24gQmFja2JvbmUr
PLEASE HELP So I got it where I can use my backbone on my iPad 12.9 and can access my call of duty app and it works. But when I try to access the backbone one app in the iPad it still shows it’s not connected and need a lighting cable. I’m using my charging cable on the bottom right of the backbone plugged to the iPad Do I have to use the outlet in the middle of the backbone to use the backbone app on my iPad Please help
Hey no that’s a weird issue. I posted another video about needing to be a backbone+ subscriber to use this feature, but if it works on COD I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work in the backbone app.
there is no clear explanation on how to bring it up on other devices, im trying to use google chrome on my laptop. What do I need to have on my laptop for it to work?
For this feature to work you may need to subscribe to Backbones service. The cable I used in the video was the lighting to USB cable. Yes, once you choose the what device you want to connect to you should be able to use it.
Yeah if you check out the backbone one site you'll see they have an image of a usb-c cable going to the backbone one controller. You have to scroll down close to the bottom. playbackbone.com
Hey yeah you may need to pay a subscription fee for this feature. I pinned a comment with video about this as I was unaware that the feature was behind a pay wall for non lifetime members.
I am using Lightning to usb type A for my iPhone. I know some iPads come with a usb c port or a lightning port. If your ipad has a Lightning port you may need an adapter that turns a usb type a or c into lightning.
@@ibelveegaming I’ve done that this is not a option for apple usbc. You will need a usbc to lighting cable which has data transfer ability fiber within the cable
Hey I recently found out that this feature only available through a subscription which is insane. So this could be the issue or your cable isn’t the correct MFi cable.
What do you mean lightning to usb-c cables exist. If you scroll down near the bottom of the official backbone one website you'll see they have a usb-c cable going to their controller.
The way you make your videos are bad because you are not SHOWING the products its just you and a huge ass video behind you. You NEED to showcase products more. Zoom into them, show us.
Please watch this important video if cannot get this to work.

Bro, this is gold! They also came out with the ps4/5 version of the backbone so I’m getting that one, too!
Just got mine !!! My mind is blown
@@05zianne I need to try it out too!!
Yeah this was a smart move from them to partner with since the PlayStation buttons are unique to the PlayStation

Great video. Just what I was looking for ❤️
Thanks

No it wasn’t connected to the Mac in the beginning. Also please watch my other video about Backbone+ as this may or may not work for you.
Congrats bruh
Thanks!

You should be able to just select an option and plug it in. If you’re on a PC try the PC option in the backbone app to see if that works.
Figure it out I’m having the same problem
What cable do you use? So you take the phone out of the back bone and then you connect that to where exactly?

What cable are you using because I can’t use the iPhone charger cable for both iphone and ipad

Yeah those exist on Apple site or a third party like Amazon. I think newer Apple devices ship with usb-c to lightning. But no charging cube lol
how can i use the backone on my ipadmini5,it's lighting charge😂
This creator has this video where he used an adapter for his iPad with lightning. ua-cam.com/video/Wj7fiA3HOMY/v-deo.html
This doesn’t work with the newest iPad Air 5gen

@@ibelveegaming yeah I figured it out I had to use the Mac option instead of the iPad option
@@Therodrigoquero Ohhhh interesting probably due to the new iPad using M1. Thanks for letting me know.
@@ibelveegaming it's sad that you can only use this feature with B+ only. 😭
Next time show the setup!

This video is a month ago but recent iPads are usbc, this video is useless
