If it cant be modded for larger than 8 inch devices or has hall effect sticks, the Galileo g8 is still the current mobile controller king and only at 80$
I'm not sure if this was done on purpose because it's Razer, but not comparing this to the gamesir galileo g8 is almost insulting. The g8 is way cheaper, and has overall better features like hall effect sticks, a textured grip and even swappable sticks. Again I hope this was just an oversight on Kevin's side.
This is worth it if you use all the features i mean all the haptic the pc controller and mobile controller and programable buttons its a investment you get. Pc and mobile controller all in one
I love how people complain about the “Apple Tax”, for all metal premium build devices that use top end parts for all their components… and then Razer comes along and drops a chunk of plastic with a USB port for $150, and gamers be like “Im picking this up today, incredible!”. Bros this is a PowerA controller with a slider in the middle to hold a phone.
I feel like using this as a console controller then keeping your phone in there you can use it for chat or discord maybe? Seems like a useful way to multitask
I had this in hand. The fact that it doesn’t support iPad 11 is unacceptable. No excuse, it would have taken almost no effort to implement, as it was barely a few centimeters off. The controller is honestly better than most regular controllers so I’m kinda heart broken.
What feature list? Its a piece of plastic with a USB controller chip inside. Wired controllers go for $30 all day long… and those should actually be more expensive than this since they include a long wire. This isn’t like some advanced controller with a lithium battery, an up to date Bluetooth chip, hall effect sticks, unique material grips, premium parts, extra inter changeable buttons, sticks, and dpad, lcd configuration screen, etc. Its just a hunk of plastic for $150. It looks like it has the same material quality of PDP or PowerA.
Wake up, guys. We won't be fooled again. This thing costs about almost 2 times of the best mobile controllers in the market now. Without any hall based tech, at least didn't see any 'hall tech' info on the page. so why I should I pay two times of bucks for this? And I don't understand why we still need to turn on the virtual controller mode to play via ps remote play. -_-
$150 hell no , maybe those who play on the regular on their devices. I’d use it to emulate every once in a while but not enough to justify that price. Managed to pick up the back bone for $50 a few months back
Do you all think it's worth the upgrade from the Razer Kishi V2 Pro 🐍 that came out 8 months ago? I honestly don't see the actual upgrade on this one..🤔
@bryanmiranda6674 I havnt bothered to noticed that lol I used wireless, but yeah I found a review that compared both and they said it's no different compared to gameplay buttons or anything like that, just the light ups, ability to use bigger devices, and handheld design difference. Hey Kevin can you test something with this controller for me, So what I really want to know is that if you can still use this as a wired PC controller while your phone is still plugged into the controller? My idea is essentially using cemu with my phone/tablet as a wireless display for my PC to have a setup similar to the Wii U gamepad.. This could be awesome for PC emulation for both Wii-U and 3DS and DS 🤯🤯 Right now I'm using a Bluetooth version of a controller like this and just have it hooked up to my PC through BT and have my Samsung tablet as my bottom screen, been playing through The legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D but with the 4k texture mod and project Restoration 🔥🔥🔥
I hate the asymetrical stick layout on all the telescoping controllers, having half my hand hanging off the bottom of the right side is not ideal. I like how steam deck did it, symetrical but towards the top.
I'm gonna echo here but $150 is WILD. I honestly liked almost everything about this controller (except the shoulder placement for the programmable buttons instead of backside) but without hall effect sticks why even bother? Also is it compatible with PS Remote app? I just got the G8 and it does work with the playstation app on my Note 20 ultra but not my Note 9 which is unfortunate. I believe the PS Play app will solve this problem on my Note 9 but I haven't purchased it or tested yet. If touch button mapping is the only method to use the PS remote app then it's kinda not really compatible imo...
