Marin is known for producing a great variety of bikes. The Alivio derailleur is the next level down from Deore, and then Acera is down from Alivio and then Altus is just below Acera. I have an Acera derailleur on my bike and an Altus front derailleur. I have a 2 by 9 on my Giant hybrid.
Hey BB 👋 glad to see you still doing your thing. I left the bike scene a few years ago and just now getting back into it for fitness reasons. Your channel popped up in my head, looking forward to following the channel again
I switch my gears a lot, I keep trying to get the perfect one, then once I get it, the terrain changes. I have one multi-gear bike, but despite all this, I would like to try out a single-gear one. It is like the ice cream shop with one flavor, no need to spend too much time deciding things
That's a hybrid bike with front suspension. Hybrid and mountain bike sizes differ in size compared to road bikes. I prefer to ride a 56ccm and/or a 54cm road bike (I have both sizes), but my hybrid bike is 21 inches (XL) and it's a little too big but doable. My correct size for a hybrid or mountain bike should be 18 inches. Shimano Alivio is pretty good hierarchy. It's the 3rd tier up better than Shimano Altus.
I go to a non profit bike shop. For parts. And plan to get a bike. I own a lot of bikes. But build up bikes I ride. Not bad bikes from them places. You can find some nice bikes.
I don't think there are such shops in my town. Or maybe I just don't get the idea of what is a non profit bike shop. AlI shops I see around is not like someone's hobby, they all there for profit.

I never heard of a non-profit bike shop until this video.
