Sir can you clear what is nucleoprotein . because you had said that nucleo proteins are categorised as basic protein and acidic protein. but after a while you said that most important basic proteins are nucleoprotein.

A Nucleoprotein is a complex containing nucleic acids as well as proteins. For example: ribosomes are made of 2 subunits, both containing RNA and proteins.

hi, hope I can help your understanding. Since our DNA is actually about 5 feet long, it needs to be "squeezed" to fit into our nucleus. There are several steps for that. Firstly, our DNA will be wrapped around a histone ( a protein ), 8 of the histones will combine together and form what we call nucleosome which will further coils and eventually form chromatin. Chromatin then continue to coil and form chromosome. So basically chromosome is the result of coiled chromatin.
