We CUT THIS VAN IN HALF! No, I'm deadly serious. Check out the video here: goo.gl/baHQJM Thanks to you all for watching, we LOVE that you everyone is so into it! Peace!
Thank you, I am about to rip alot of it out though due to the fact I now can get more floor space due to the chassis change. I would not recommend those tiles at this point now though, a nightmare to clean!!
Great job both on the van and on the video. Please share ideas on adding a luggage rack and solar panels to the Renault Trafic aluminium-steel roof issues. We wish to buy the rack and add panels to our '86 Itasca Phasar version of your frame, body
Guys! This is such a cool van, loving what you’ve done and the colour is great too! All those awesome big windows, totally room with a view! We just started out on our big trip round Europe in our tiny home (half the size of yours mind!) happy travels 🚐👫🐕🐕
the exPAWers thanks! It's a little different now, keep meaning to do an update! Living your videos in Portugal, we are sooooooo close to leaving for their ourselves!!
Awesome van, very unique all round. Some real cool quirky features. Also, this has inspired me to look in to turbines! P.s im digging the mellow hip hop in the background, my dudes got good taste ;)
Lewis Wright thanks for both your comments, I appreciate them. As an update to the wind turbine, we don't have that anymore. It was simply to difficult for us to store. I will update this video to show our new evolution of our van.
Tooch Soch There is a community in the UK yes, I started filming this weekend in Glastonbury where a lot of people pass through. We are tucked in all different corners but we are there!
Awesome setup. What kind of wind genny is that? How watts or amps are you reliably getting from it on a windy day? I have an air x and find I nearly need a hurricane to get a substantial amount of power from it.
Sorry for the delay in replying. I honestly don't remember what it is called and I haven't measured it. I have now stopped using it simply because moving around with it is a nightmare!
Hi! we are planing to live in a caravan for the next months, maybe years..but we have 1 major problem. PARKING. are you always sleeping in camping sites? camping sites are expensive, like 5-600pounds for 1 month. please tell us how you do it. thanks a lot! nice video and awesome rig!
We have been incredibly fortunate to meet some folk who let us stay on their old farm land, tucked out of the way. It all comes down to relationships and being open to what you can do for them and not them for you. Let us know how you get on!
Honestly so many RVs start showing sun damage after a couple seasons that good coverage that isn't perfectly smooth is still going to look better than many commercial paint jobs.
Thanks, we appreciate your comment! We don't have the wind turbine anymore but when we did it wasn't too noisy. It was held upright by a plate under the rear wheel so the tyre took most of the vibration and noise out of it. Ultimately it was the diameter of the turbine when travelling that was impossible to secure anywhere, simply too big!
Hi Sam, at present both myself and my partner work full time for companies to save a bulk of money so we quietly hire a spot on a empty field. It is beautiful and peaceful. We don't require electric hookup or water piped to us so it is very simple! When we are moving around the rest of the time we predominantly find a quiet forest spot. In a few months we are transitioning over to Europe permanently to do the same thing there...
Thanks! We stripped the entire inside because it was tired. Yes Ikea cupboards can be heavy but we halved their weight when cutting away for tanks, wheel arches etc. The total weight of this van, with full water & fuel, tools etc was 3.2t
We have two devices now. One is a wifi router which has a sim card in it to run from the data and the other is a wifi amplifier to pickup wifi signal to use if one is unlocked.
It is a system called iBoost. From the location I was in here, I could pick up the wifi of the campsite on the next hill, it was very impressive! Bear in mind you do need to have wifi with no password on to use it! Here is a link: amzn.to/2mkTEh9
Hi! The wind turbine was just shy of £200 (sterling), I have yet to install some gadgetry to measure its input over a given period if time. I certainly did notice that battery voltage had increased over night when blustery though! I will update when I can.
Thanks Charly Jess! We have two ways of accessing the internet. We have a wi-fi booster that will pick up wi-fi signals and also a router that runs direct from a sim card which we have a monthly unlimited data card in.
The whole mechanics on this original engine was pretty naff! I ended cutting the front off and putting the body onto an Iveco cab & chassis. check it out here > goo.gl/baHQJM
We Ain't No Hippies hahaha wow. Well, i am not gonna go that far, i am going to swap in a ls4 fwd v8 gm, or a 3800 supercharged 3.8L from gm, or a 3.6L pentastar from fiat OR a 1.9L tdi, built up and chipped with a bigger turbo. I need to stick to the trafic base, just with a new heart. The ls4 would be the best choice, 400 easy HP, no issues moving the mass.
I don't blame you! It was a scary process! I also looked at swapping out the engine and this would have been my preference had I been able to use some ramps somewhere! I would be very interested in seeing what direction you go, please do share and let me know!
Ok so normally I'm the negative comment guy ( trying to change that). Anyways it's because frankly some video's are just horrible. This one though was really cool so thank you for sharing it.
Agreed, it's a good video. It was presented in a focussed and organized manner, unlike some videos, where the camera seems to roam aimlessly around and people take forever to get to the point.
It's very possible, just stop reading all of the 'no camping overnight' signs and ignore the bylaws. Start applying common sense and courtesy and simply go about your day!

Thanks to you all for watching, we LOVE that you everyone is so into it! Peace!
I can't even wire a plug this cool geezer must be like the Steven hawking of camper electronics !
That is a very nice job you did adding the shower to that bathroom!
Thank you, I am about to rip alot of it out though due to the fact I now can get more floor space due to the chassis change. I would not recommend those tiles at this point now though, a nightmare to clean!!
spot on marra great van, happy adventures
what a sick setup
Great job both on the van and on the video.
Please share ideas on adding a luggage rack and solar panels to the Renault Trafic aluminium-steel roof issues. We wish to buy the rack and add panels to our '86 Itasca Phasar version of your frame, body
very nice inside and we'll thought out and I like the small wind turbine
blackhornetful thanks! I will do an updated video shortly as it has progressed somewhat since this video!
I love your cabinets and choice of color!

What an awesome color, dig the build!
Desert Logic thanks! We just want to blend in the background!
Very nice setup.
great use of space, I think mr HYMER would love the the outside look" I could see a production Hymer using the rubber protection
It has been a really helpful coating, it allows me to push through tight roads without worrying.
Cool van man ! Love the colour inside and out .
Romany Roz Thanks dude!
This is the first one I could see myself in.
I saw the vid of you cutting this back off and putting on the new van and wondered why you went to that much effort but now I get it. Nice set up.
Thanks! Yes I was already 'in too deep' and had to do it!!
Love the red gloss cabinets
They are all IKEA kitchen cabinets, perfect for fitting into our small space!
Oh my god this van is just awesome 😎 I could so easily live in here myself, well if I didn’t have kids lol 👍
Ian Barton thanks! We have a puppy now, does that count??
love your van it's awsome mate. :-)
WestcountryYokel thanks I appreciate that!
Nice Lesharo. I never see nice ones in the US. Enjoy it!
Thanks Bryan, I appreciate that!
X fantastic very clever chap 👍👏
this looks amazing
Thanks! We think it's great!
Hi nice job on your RV. Can you share where you got your plastic trims and the make of the coating you used on them and the bonnet of the van?
Thanks! The trim is all metal and original to the Winnebago LeSharo, I covered it in protectakote, that's what it is called here in the U.K.
beautiful motorhome my friend...where did you get the wind turbine from?interested in adding this to the planned solar setup...
Thank you kindly! Ours is a Sanven 300w turbine. I can't seem to find them available at the moment though.
by far its the best van convert ive seen. is there a van dwelling community in the uk?
Tooch Soch I'M LOOKING FOR ONE TOO! SOZ FOR CAPS GOT POOR EYESIGHT WITH LETTERS, , I'VE GOT A BASIC 4×4 NOW! CHEERS
Tooch Soch There is a community in the UK yes, I started filming this weekend in Glastonbury where a lot of people pass through. We are tucked in all different corners but we are there!
Sally Heys There is a community there, just depends what kind of environment your live in as some times it not so obvious!
Awesome van

I appreciate that!

Man this is fantastic!!!!
Thanks!
Enjoy your lifestyle. Mine starts soon.
We LOVE it! Let us know how you get on, share your adventure with us!

we aint no hippies Thanks for the reply!
That looks 😎,AF! 😐😎✌🏼
We're The Undertow thank you kindly!
Hi, I’m interested in the roof rack mounting uprights. Where can I find them?
Thanks 🙏🏻
How is the Hummer bumper attached? Was it welded on? Did you have to add or remove anything from it?
Excellent job! Did you respray the van your self?
Yes, with a fence sprayer! It isn't the smoothest finish but does me just fine!
Honestly so many RVs start showing sun damage after a couple seasons that good coverage that isn't perfectly smooth is still going to look better than many commercial paint jobs.
Ciao, dove hai preso il porta pacchi, bull bar e fari posteriori? Grazie
Nice rig! :)
Thanks! It's a little different now, I must update you with a new video!
Love it
How do you manage for a legal address? For DVLA Police Insurance Health etc ?
Apart from the peace destroying wind turbine thats an awesome setup....but i soooo couldnt handle the noise that thing makes
Thanks, we appreciate your comment! We don't have the wind turbine anymore but when we did it wasn't too noisy. hi. do you park mainly on camp sites, and do you travel around the UK, or stop in one area. cheers.
Hi Sam, at present both myself and my partner work full time for companies to save a bulk of money so we quietly hire a spot on a empty field. It is beautiful and peaceful. We don't require electric hookup or water piped to us so it is very simple! When we are moving around the rest of the time we predominantly find a quiet forest spot. amazing.
Nice van, wot happened to the original storage systems, Ikea is chipboard = heavy.
Thanks! We stripped the entire inside because it was tired. Yes Ikea cupboards can be heavy but we halved their weight when cutting away for tanks, wheel arches etc. The total weight of this van, with full water & fuel, tools etc was 3.2t
Thank -U_ Thats useful info about the weight.
Hi how do you get wifi ? great Video nice to see how to do it off grid
We have two devices now. One is a wifi router which has a sim card in it to run from the data and the other is a wifi amplifier to pickup wifi signal to use if one is unlocked.
nice van love it. also subbed ya channel
Nice set up. Looks very cosy. Are they ceramic tiles in the washroom? 😀
No they are plastic tiles, very light & easy to cut!
we aint no hippies I've looked everwhere for plastic tiles. Do you remember where you bought them please?
Yes they are very hard to find! I got mine from here:
www.tilegiant.co.uk/tiles/reco-panels/recotile.html?mode=grid
we aint no hippies thank you 😁
what was the wifi booster mate? and great van
It is a system called iBoost. From the location I was in here, I could pick up the wifi of the campsite on the next hill, it was very impressive! Bear in mind you do need to have wifi with no password on to use it! Here is a link: amzn.to/2mkTEh9
can I ask how much your wind turbine cost and how much power does it generate compared to your solar panel ?
Hi! The wind turbine was just shy of £200 (sterling), I have yet to install some gadgetry to measure its input over a given period if time. I certainly did notice that battery voltage had increased over night when blustery though! I will update when I can.
+we aint no hippies would love to get some numbers on that wind generator. Just add an amp meter in line to get an output current.
Nice job! How do you get wi-fi?
Thanks Charly Jess! We have two ways of accessing the internet. We have a wi-fi booster that will pick up wi-fi signals and also a router that runs direct from a sim card which we have a monthly unlimited data card in.
The gearboxes on these are like glass - I had one for a while until it blew up on me
The whole mechanics on this original engine was pretty naff! I ended cutting the front off and putting the body onto an Iveco cab & chassis. check it out here > goo.gl/baHQJM
What mill are you running in that rig?
I am sorry, I don't understand your question. Could you explain it please?
What about the motor? The trafik engines struggled to move the lesharo
Absolutley junk! So much so, I cut this WHOLE motorhome in HALF! Check it out here> ua-cam.com/video/sUeWOk1znJ8/v-deo.html

How much do you have into this.. it's amqzing
Cool Guy Stuff we certainly have less than a deposit for property in the U.K.!
That bathroom is awesome. You can shower and poop at the same time
I had never considered the advantage of this.
Thanks! I certainly can go into intricate details, but I recognise that they are not always the important bits!
hi Mate. how can u wild camp in England where everything is illegal and cctv u got even in ur loo.
It's very possible, just stop reading all of the 'no camping overnight' signs and ignore the bylaws. Start applying common sense and courtesy and simply go about your day!
we aint no hippies ☺
What is the width of this van?
Sorry for the delay in replying Marie. Its 2.5m wide, its the same floor space as a Mercedes Sprinter, long wheel based van!
2.5 meters wide??? So, 7-1/2 feet?
Google tells me 2.5m is 8.2 foot wide, it doesn't sound much but it is ample.
A hot warder heeder?, really?
yea, livin in a bus, middle class.....you're hippies.....
Yo! I am not entirely sure I understand your comment!?
