About IDICBeer 40k - NECRONS and More
My Channel is all about Warhammer 40,000 and is mainly a Necron Channel. The content on it will include 40k Battle Reports, Army Lists, Conversions, Magnetising tutorials, Painting tutorials, 40k Tactics and lots of General Hobby Tips. I have been into the hobby since 2002 and my first and largest army is Necrons and I cover all things Necrons, including Necron tactics and Tips. I also have an Eldar army, Dark Eldar army, a Tyranid army and a Space Wolves army. I'm also working on a new Slaanesh based Emperor's Children army, but that is on hold atm, but I will get to it one day! I upload videos every week.

Ive been using the Canoptek arcanthrites in my list as well! Its been really fun using these lesser used units, even if theyre not very good lol their +1 ap on crit wounds can be surprisingly lethal when stacked with other arcanthrites
Nice, is that units of three? I really debated two units of three or one unit of six, but I think the two smaller units will be tactically better

I feel there's something missing from this detachment : Battleline keyword for Canoptek units. And canoptek unit can return 1 model when the unit is within 6" power matrix objective

I feel like a silver tide Canoptek dettachment has some play, just run 60 warriors with chronomancer and 20 with Orikan and watch your opponent groan as they have to really churn through bodies to make headway
Yeah can defo work, just doesn't seem right though for a Canoptek detachment ha ha
I think about but take a night scythe + including wraits (getting infantry from techno mancer) would be more fun then two deathmarks? You can add to the wraits crypthoralls as well. Popout, Shoot, Popin and stay save and warm 🤤
The Deathmarks are so powerful at getting secondaries though and the wraiths just sit on no man land objectives, I don't think it would be worth it. Maybe in Awakened Dynasty though 🤔
Nice list and feel silly for not considering the scarabs for the corners. Been trying to use them for blocking etc, but they get destroyed so easily. Screening and scoring it is! NECRONS!

I've ran Acanthrites a lot. Six is my go to. I lose 3 too easily but probably due to play style.
Thanks for the feedback, yeah i'll see how they go in 3's, but I think it will work best for how I will use them
If your playing for fun i like to run the stalker/sentinel. Not gaming winning but feels right in the list

We all know you really started with the lone Lokhust Destroyer and built it from there 😜 Wouldn't be an IDIC Beer Necron list without at least one Lokhust Destroyer.

Doesn't feel like a truly 'Necron' list when it's mostly made up of Canoptek constructs. The Canoptek automatons are taking over

I like to think of it as a tomb world in the early stages of waking up. Had a lot of fun with this fun list
No? I'm in the process of dividing my Necrons into 4 themed sub-factions. One of those is my "Slumbering Tomb Defense Force". It's made up of all the Guardian & Maintenance constructs. In other words, Canoptek units and automated defences such as a Gauss Pylon. No other units are allowed, as they all would be in stasis still. With the exception of one Technomancer taking the role as overseer, as I still need to include a character as my Warlord to make it a legal list. Feels pretty "Necron' to me.
I call it my "Slaves of Bastet" list. Bastet is the Egyptian goddess of protection.
List needs stuff to kill things. Wraiths are great at tying up stuff but are not killy. I suggest adding at least 1 ctan like NB.
I'm playing three C'tans in my Hypercrypt list so didn't want to play them here as well.
Fair enough. I love wraiths myself. They’re a great unit for tarpitting as long as you don’t expect them to kill much outside of low toughness trash units.
