So enjoy your videos more than Nick Shabaz’s because you don’t just ramble on! Thank you!

I just bought 2 of these, one for my father and the other for myself, but I’m taking the black blade out of mine to put on the olive micarta on his. I was curious if the scales were glued to the liners or if they just came off when you u screw everything. This video answered all my questions, thanks!

Hey JackG I just bought this knife with D2 after I heard how popular it seemed. Mine has the same issue deploying out of the box.
I did a quick video search for just the name of the knife (no keywords like fix or anything) and I found this video swimming in a pool of only positive unboxing and first impression and comparison videos.
I'm gonna try looking at the bearing direction based on what you said. Thanks

I just disassembled and cleaned it. Used Nano 10 iirc and it ran great

just saw this video after receiving mine in s35vn with jade scales it seemed not as smooth as I wanted on deployment and switched around the washers like you did have you noticed and effect of having them the other way?

If I remember correctly I may have also polished them on my leather strop I lay on a flat surface. Or I’ve heard of some people using light pressure on a 2000 grit paper if the washer has a rough edge

Damasteel isnt a Benchmade thing. It's a Swedish company that sells to any knifemaker.

Were those alcohol wipes or just regular ones?

Hey Alex. Sorry but I don't recall ever using wet-ones. Although when I've used something like glasses cleaner or even Windex on something like Titanium, I typically wipe it down after with a very lightly damp towel and then dry. I'm kind of an anti-chemical person :-) Stay well and safe.

What? The Damascus Steel is forged entirely and the pattern is all through out the steel, it's not only a blade pattern your going to see it from tip tp end. Thanks for the incite of the bearings.
