The Krypt isn't canon. It isn't part of the story. It's a fun side game to collect gear. I mean, the traveller kills every character on the roster and puts their heads on pikes.

Jon Carpenter-smith but maybe kenshi death is cannon as you see that island is abandoned with decaying bodies some still alive but may die later in the process the island is maybe used for torture and the onis took over that island before it was abandoned and kenshi was there but he fought them off but later got stabbed by his own sword and goros soul was taken away by Shang Tsung for betrayal and killed right on his thrown and when it was abandoned the traveller was there at the same time as ermac but something pushed him which made him fall to his death and the other people never went their because it was a cursed island with many spirits haunting that island some are evil some are good but they are told not to go there for their own good but idk it’s just a theory....

This krypt is likely not canon since Goro in the krypt still have his arms intact unlike the one we saw in the comic who got his arms cut off by Kotal and now currently on quest to find a way to regrow his arms.

If you go to the end of the falling stage you may a few ninjas like smoke and rain and a purple new ninja fall to their death like ermac but it is extremely rare to find hanzo and sub zero fall you must see the ninjas fall a 100 times and the next one will be either hanzo hasashi or kuai liang

Shang Tsung: Died by Liu Kang in mortal kombat tournament
Ermac: Fought against Jax and fell off the cliff during mk tournament
Kenshi Takashi: killed by Quan chi and stabbed with sword
Goro: defeated by Liu kang in mk 11 where his corpse remained in his lair
Rest In Peace to Goro, Kenshi and Ermac, too bad we can’t play as them in MK11.
