I love that Marty is probably the only one who could knock some sense into Todd at this point. Their convo for the last minute is phenomenal! She can see right thru him, and he brings out honest emotion. What a crazy, messed up, but beautiful relationship. On a side note, his hair is really freaking long during this time!!
It's too bad they didnt know what they had in roger and Todd and ruined his chemistry and any chance with Susan bc hes the only male she shined in scenes with. Malone actually was trying to pair them and u could see it working except the rape so they could never be together. I have no clue how luke and laura could be eaten up by 30 million viewers when he raped her. Todd's rspe was worse though it was a graphic gang rape. It's kind of crazy they even had the friendship they had towards the end of 95.
If Blair really only married Todd just for the money, she would have asked for a divorce almost right away to get a settlement. There would be no need to put herself through staying married to someone she had no attraction to/or feelings for. It was never just for the money.
Is that the old Todd group therapy room? What I love about this scene is it brings you back to the pre-Lord Todd days. We havent seen that Todd in awhile. I love seeing the scenes prior to the Belt fight again!
Todd said it's time to make her pay. Marty said, do you know what you even mean by that?, Todd's reaction ( he knew, he would make her pay like he made Marty pay) we all know what than was!!!!
I can understand why Todd is hurt, but I think he's making more out of it than he should've. They're building things up for the fabulous "belt scene" and they had deluded fantasies about pairing Todd and Marty, but if the writers had enough sense to listen to the opinions of the actors and the viewers they would've known from the start where they would eventually end up. Todd and Marty had a better understanding of each other than anyone else, but that didn't mean they'd make a good couple.
They did have great chemistry and it makes u wish like todd wishes later that he held her through the night. After the rape they couldnt be together but marty only love interest she came the most alive with is Todd's roger. Not live interest but s guy her age in her circles. Dylan suede Patrick andrew none of them were as good as scenes with todd. Marty and todd are connected no matter what. Riveting fascinating relationship and I think Todd respected Marty a lot more than blair after the lie was exposed. When asa sees him he tells him to find a woman he can trust. Todd says to himself a woman I can trust and the scene jumps to Marty. I have to say the chat they have by her fire place is amazing . They realize if they had given things a shot instead of it going horrible wrong they would have worked out and how alike they are. Blair many times was so jealous even saying Todd's in love with marty.
i didn't start watching til just before Starr and i always thought, before catching up by these videos (thank you bjujubee), that Todd was the 1 who usually did the lying. i was against Todd with Spring Fling because what he did was way wrong, and now I'm against Blair because what she did was way wrong. But I really like Todd and Blair and TnB.
Why are all T&M scenes so freaking amazing!! I swear these 2 actors bring the best out of each other....Rogers best leading lady will always be SH IMHO!! Theirs a reason they won EMMY"S together....Todd always said that him & Blair told each other the truth, but the one woman I believe Todd showed his REAL self 2 was Marty...which makes their characters even more toxic and tragic .This scene reminded me of when Todd begged Marty for a 2nd chance and she rejected him.
Dorian gave good advice & bad. I think she was right about Blair leaving town to let things cool off & call todd to explain . Than the belt scene wouldnt have happened which made blair now angry at him. Bad advice was going to chet. Bc blair was starting to get through to todd until he heard chets message on the answering machine about blair trying to get meladir so it looked like to todd that she only cared about the money & her company & went behind his back . Marty was right about knowing asa faking a pregnancy to land a rich hubby. Todd is smart I'm surprised he didnt wonder if she got pregnant after their marriage bc they had unprotected sex a bunch of times. Blair could not go get her I assume diaphragm bc she tried to bring her purse to the bathroom b4 key west sex.

Todd should marry Marty first he marry Blair
