I worked for CSX as a conductor out of NY. I would say 80% of these hoppers are 25 and younger and are very much like these two. I was lucky to always have respectful people on my trains that didn’t cause issues, the drugs are the dangerous part for them and the employees. Drugs change people and people get hurt. @Kymmie_Holla I myself am a younger person (30) who rides trains, and I'll tell you one thing: I do NOT condone using intoxicating substances aboard a freight train, nor would I ever want to ride with someone who does. To me, it's beyond stupid. Trains are not some plaything to screw around on; a person who isn't safe, clearheaded and careful is liable to get themselves (or companions) hurt or killed. Such incidents also make it harder for folks who do ride safely and respectfully. One can enjoy whatever they want off railroad property, but you gotta be sober as the road crews when you step anywhere near the tracks. I imagine it's less pleasant to be confronted by rail employees if you're found under the influence.

Not too long ago, I caught an evening hotshot through the desert overnight. I had my mummy bag rated for 0°f, and a bivy bag to pull over that. I was also clothed with fleece & wool, with leather outer layers. When I awoke at 7am, there was a layer of ice on the outer bag, and my coffee, water and milk were all frozen! Despite this, I slept a full 8 hours like a swaddled baby, snug and warm.

Telling everyone haw it is but they really don’t know how it is. They need some lessons kids like this is why it’s hard out there they just go everywhere acting a fool doing drugs. my dad is a train hopper, and he always has been since he was about 13 ( 34 now ) and the other night i seen that he had posted on TikTok that he was in a hospital and had fallen from a 3rd story balcony. found out a few days later that he had taken some meth and went into a psychosis, called the paramedics to come help him before he killed himself, once the paramedics got there he thought they were there to kill him.. so he jumped out of his hotel room window to kill himself. hearing this story made me imagine just how hard his life is and how often train hoppers turn to drugs due to loneliness. i’m trying my best to get him the help he needs, just hoping that he accepts it.

I don't think that those things define him either, but if you listen to the interview of just crazy, she has so much going against her. Even in this interview there is a moment where she says " you should interview my mom, you wouldn't last for a min." So, what do we measure people on? Someone who is overcoming incredible amounts of sexual abuse and trauma and self worth issues who is doing their best to survive in this world, or someone who says they had a great childhood but then just chose to do drugs and be a bum? I truly believe they have an equal value in the simple fact that they are sitting next to each other dressed alike, both living the lifestyle they do, and it is unwise to pick and choose some of the key words scooter says as if he is not also making choices that align with Crazy's.

Growing up I was around so many kids like this, thankfully I was able to have the foresight and realization of where this kind of lifestyle leads someone to end up making changes.
I think so many people reject modern society but neglect to realize regardless of how free or counter culture you are you still have to work to obtain the things you need.
In many ways I imagine they have to work far harder than any of us to obtain the things they need, it’s just that the Avenue they pursue it through holds them back from experiencing the freedom that comes with stability.
I have hope and faith for both of them, that hopefully once the cloud of drugs and alcohol are lifted, they come to a similar realization.

The desire to live a life in which you have a story to tell, I can truly relate to.
Train hopping I imagine would be somewhat of a adventure, but so many are using drugs as the storyline in their lives.
I feel like they believe a life on drugs is a right of passage or an experience that is the adventure.
The story of I'm on drugs is getting old it's the same story it's boring I hope young people start seeing the repetitiveness and the lack of any originality within these stories and find another way to find meaning in their lives.
    Go explore the world...
Over dosing is nothing to brag about and your knowledge of the different types of drugs is not impressive, neither is your command over the street lingo.
You can live an amazing life without it being self destructive, rather it can be for filling and rewarding.
No more sad stories on purpose, how about stories with purpose.
I say we need more frustration in our lives, because at least you know your trying.
Through frustration you will find so much more than the emptiness that drugs bring into your life.

You can tell this girl is trouble, and you can tell he knows she's trouble. She's fully covered for a reason and he balls and clenches his fists when she does something he doesn't like. Neither are healthy for each other, and neither are probably healthy for anyone. I noticed she pulled up her skirt to expose a tattoo on her leg on purpose while he was talking. Not sure what that was all about. But it was clear she wanted mark to notice it.
If he's actually clean, he won't be for long if he continues to stick around her, which he will, because he's whooped and possessive. And she's that girls who uses anything she can, including her body to get what she wants. I don't think she sleeps with everyone, but she definitely insinuates she will to manipulate and use a man to get what she wants. She's a very dangerous little girl. I'd advise him to run away as fast as he can.

i spent most of this video watching their body language also. any time she mentioned meth or fentanyl he’d shake his head away and slightly laugh in disapproval as if to not be reminded. i mean he said himself they’ve not talked about her OD since it happened. she’s also playing up the act of acting all airy fairy and cutesy to mask deep insecurities. he won’t last long with her. as much as they probably don’t want to admit, both have very different mindsets.

Scooter and Crazy met for a reason. They need each other - and through the suffering, and pain, they will come out of it together. Do not be quick to judge others, especially when we all live hypocritical lives, with our own evils hiding in our closet. They just have it out the in open, and struggling through the mud. I just wish them good health, and a time to ponder about life while on the train, and find truth while out there.

It's all about personal choices. If they enjoy the train hopping and stay safe ... they're young and feeling invinsible, hopefully they don't get hurt. And like anyone else, you have to live within your means ... if drugs and alcohol are hurting your ability to survive the part you love ... the train hopping ... then you've got to work on that! I'd like to see a follow-up in 6-12 months. I hope they are keeping journals of their travels to reflect upon later in life.

These videos tend to show us a different side of how "normal" people live their lives, sometimes they are sad, but what I find to be the most disturbing is when the comments are somehow worse than the video and it's story itself. The way a lot of people here believe he should just dump her cause she's "broken" or "not good for him" is sad. People have even become selfish for others. I wish them all the luck and I wish for her to get better and if he helps her do that, I hope they end up with the greatest life together! Don't listen to these people who want the easy way out and only think for themselves. If everyone had their mentality, they might have not even made it in life. Ya never know.
