Exemplary and very realistic of what happens. When I enlisted I saw a video, when I got to BMQ in 2012, it was chaos, all my staff were infantry but two (artillery and he other armoured Recon). It was, insane... friend who graduated last year said it's different then what I got to go through. But I told them at the time Canada was at war.the rest of my staff were R22R.. hardcore guys and gals

I swear BMQ is now easier somehow I'm currently a Sailior 2nd class (S2) in the canadian navy reserves as a Naval Combat information operator (mos: 00114) but when I did BMQ back after covid ended every instructor were dazzled and confused how to start the bmq that was cancelled lots of times and when we did start it felt like a breeze. I did my BMQ at Vimy in Quebec and I was stationed at the H huts, meaning they were chill buildings with ac/heaters the best housing for recruits there was, you can also be stationed at the tents where it is nasty to stay in there with so many bugs and weather elements. My favourite part about my Basic Military Qualification was the part instructors were playing some scary horror music of a girl laughing at night it was 3 am for us and we heard it we thought we were in hell. The standard way to react was saying Stand 2 Stand 2, it means that all troops should be ready for combat anytime.

A significant amount of wounded veterans have been treated terribly and had their lives ruined despite fighting the good fight and serving their country and fulfilling their duties.

I don't understand the Canadian reserves. I am from the States. The Reserve there is basically like the active duty, but reduced duties. You still complete the same Basic as everyone else, and the same AIT. Here, I'm told, you're attached to whatever unit is in your area, and have to go to whatever area there is a unit for the MOS you want. So, say I want to go for medic, I have to go to an area that has a medic reserve unit if there's none in my area. Is this true?

tell him about all the stipulations. Don't just say "it's no longer required" because I was told the same thing until I read into it myself and you need to be jabbed up to do any sort of training that requires travel. Deploying overseas for training. Being on a readiness roster. Actual deployments. The list goes on and on. When you say "you don't need it to join" sure, that's true, but you won't be doing much of anything until you take 4 or 5 clot shots and be ready for an unlimited number more
