I learnt what a pull list is, and that being efficient with your time is important because time is money. I also learnt the amount of clothes a showroom tends to lend, the value of having your mood board on hand, and having options is important for shoots because less is NOT more in styling.

Brittany, Is it common to send your mood board to several different showrooms to get multiple pulls? If so, how many different showrooms on an average do you request a pull from when preparing for a shoot?
Such a great question Tobina! Yes I send the mood board to every showroom I reach out to so they can tell me whether or not they have what I'm looking for which saves time on both our ends. The number of showrooms I go to depends on how big the project is. I'd say the average is 3-7 per editorial.

Also do you typically need to already have a rapport with showrooms in order to do a pull request?
You don't need a rapport right out the gate but it's good to start building those relationships early. Plus it definitely helps with getting your pull requests approved!

Do the showrooms charge you for the outfits pulled?
Hi Sophia! Most showrooms are free of charge but some higher end ones do charge a rental fee. Most times they will tell you beforehand and this should be discussed prior to your appointment so you know what to expect.
