It might sound strange but if you look up the transmission module using Mercedes diagnostic tool it says that S mode is not for Sport, it's for Standard. And E is for Eco.
that's because your Mercedes is a base model. E for eco C comfort S for standard S+ for Standard plus (plus is quicker throttle response and more rev-matching and aggressive shifts.
I have a ‘11 Convertible 350. Feels pretty sluggish compared to our ‘14 350 sedan, funny enjoying it has a better exhaust note the ‘11. The 10-11 have the beater engine for reliability btw, the direct injection hasn’t been the best in our ML or E!

Guess Mercedes owner are so passionate. to put the negativity to rest. Mercedes tries to deliver a package. comfort or Sport nevertheless a base or avantgarde try to accomplish best of both worlds. hence, Mercedes has int/ext AMG sport styling and revise sportier tune and suspension to Mercedes models. Mercedes offers an extra option to customers that want SPORT mode in their Benz. Advanced Agility allows you to control that you model is either in ECO mode or SPORT mode and M button for Manual. for 2011-2014 E-class and C-Class coupes and optioned sedans, came STD with agility control. Sport plus models got two tone interiors but still had to option for advanced agility control i.e. a S+ mode. in 2015 all sport models could option for dynamic select.

Not a standard function....while stopped, depress the brake pedal a bit further down and the HOLD message pops up as you saw. Allows you to take your foot off the brake pedal at a red light, etc and the car remains motionless until you give it gas again.

what trim you have? do you have sport button on dash?
To put car in hold, after you stop press the brake more firmly

Chuckey YooHoo! have done a lot of 0-60 this winter and found 5.8 was the common number on a good run, that’s what the factory claims
Very quick for a v6. My e500 did 5.8 and that had a V8 in it LMAO. My e550 does 4.8 tho and will be down to the mid 4s after the tune

Mine 2012 RW did it in 6.6 second, but can do better I guess haha, just sport and hold, didn't use manual
