So much information packed into this demo. The passion and knowledge you have for this medium inspires me ! Sincerest gratitude for sharing as much as you do.
Among all the many watercolour videos, I rate Angela’s as one of the very best. ‘Juicy brush’, ‘Thirsty brush’ - lovely - explains it so clearly.
One of the best watercolorist I've watch. Excellent job using explicit direct instructions!!!
Thank you, Angela, for another great lesson. The peony is fresh, loose, and absolutely gorgeous. You explain your thinking so well. I really liked how you added a third leaf area to finish the piece. You always use just the right amount of detail to complement the looseness.
"Thirsty brush" - great tutorial on the different stages of painting!
I have wondered why those dark lines show up for the longest time. Thx for addressing the issue. I’ll have to re-listen till I understand how to deal with it! Love this video!!
I love to watch you start a painting; it's like watching magic beginning to appear as your brush strokes bring to life your subject. Absolute magic. Maybe one day I will see the same on my paper???
Brilliant lesson Angela!...I cannot thank you enough for blessing us all with your wisdom, talent and passion for watercolor...you inspire me!!!
I painted along - that was sooo fun AND I learned a lot too! Thank you for sharing 🙏
Wow! Not only is this a gorgeous flower, but the instruction you give is excellent. This is one of the best tutorials I have seen, Thank you so much for sharing your skill.
Wow! What a beautiful painting. I loved hearing about the techniques and strategies you used to achieve this fresh, loose flower. You are such a good teacher and so generous in sharing your talent.
I love your technique Angela. Slowly but shurely i am moving forward to my favorite style of looseness.
Just love how you paint and teach! Thanks so much!
Thanks Angela! I've tried to paint peonies many times, and usually end up with an unhappy mess. Now I shall try again, using all the information you've shared.
Absolutely beautiful! I am speechless...Thank You so much for sharing your incredible talent with us!
You inspire me! I’ve been doing a water color painting for the past few months and your videos helps me a lot! I loved your style that makes water color standouts to other medium and makes it more fun doing it. Thank you so much! ♥️
Lovely. Lots of information. Thank you so much, Angela.
I so love this painting. It captures my heart. Thanks for sharing, Angela. :)
Best tutorial I’ve seen. I will watch again and again. Thanks for defining and demonstrating the different aspects.
Excellent and FREE :-) Thanks for your generosity, Angela. Much appreciated!
Thank you this is what I wanted to try with my painting. I want it to flow and not be so restrictive. 😊
so Beautiful. So informative. and so timely for me!!! Thank you so much!!
Beautiful. Thank you for another wonderful lesson.
Thank you so much for sharing with us. Your paintings and instruction inspire me. What a beautiful painting of a peony.
Gorgeous. Thank you for this.
Angela, Thank you! This video was so helpful for my work. You are so clear in your presentation and descriptions of what you are painting.
Thank you its simply beautiful as usual you make it look easy......and it not but I will keep trying.
Just love your style and teaching style
A lovely tutorial that actually gives really useful information. Thank you for the time I know these take to create
Just so lovely Angela....ty
Wonderful!!! Liked it very much!!! Learned many strokes. Thanks!
What a great lesson, I'm glad I viewed this one first. Bravo!
You make it look so easy which tells me how much knowledge and skill you have. Thank you for sharing--I'm inspired to practice.
I have to say that you do a wonderful job of explaining your techniques. I am a beginner and this helped so much. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this video. The tip about building "suggested" form at different stages of the process and what to do for more control in those situations is invaluable! Always enjoy your attention to details of the process. I especially appreciated "the stop sign" as I am definitely a "fiddler" and have ruined more than one good painting that way lol.
So pretty!
Fantastic tutorial. In particular Your explanation of hard lines and blooms so clear and helpful A huge thank you!
Beautiful and very helpful lesson, thank you
so lovely
Thank you! You are a wonderful teacher!
Thanks Angela for another helpful lesson. Working on a few nasturtium flowers and if I decide I want a background, I know how to do it, without it looking like an afterthought.
What a great instructional video! I love it thank you
Wonderful demonstration and explanation. Thanks a bunch.
Eye candy - thank you - learned a lot
Thanks so much. I need frequent reminders of the different ways to manage water when painting. My biggest challenge is to remember to blot the ferul after dipping in water to prevent drips.
Thank you so much for sharing your painting skill with us! I'm a beginner watercolourist and am learning so much from you :-)
This seems like rocket science to me.I just recently turn my interest to learning about water color painting.Very pretty!
This kind of teaching is really very useful to me.
You are explaining things, I have thought about, f.eks. how the amount of water in the brush has influence on the backrun!
Thanks a lot!
So lovely and helpful!
Thank you!
So lovely!
Love this kind of floral work. Thanks that was a joy to watch.
Amazing!!!
All good !!
well. i just discovered you tonight at 11pm and now i know what im doing all day tomorrow. lol
Magnifique je vous suis j’essaie (82)ans c’est un rêve vous voir peindre. So Nice I can believe it.
I love watching you paint! Thanks for sharing your expertise! I tried something I saw you do in another lesson, and it was a disaster! I will keep working on this technique, though.
Thanks for the encouragement!
That is my biggest problem...too much moisture causing those horrid hard pigment edges. I will try to remember this tip every time I put paint and water to paper. thank you Angela!
Very helpful. Thank you! Nice brush. Is it Escoda round squirrel? What size is?
Love love love! Did you end here and sign it or did you continue with it? I would love to see what you did with this one!
Angela, your description of the various situations and which type of juicy, neutral or damp brush to use was very helpful.
I know you used your favorite Escoda rigger, but then did you switch to a 10 round for some of the detailing?
Great information for a novice, like me.
Did you work from a photograph or ready image before you started? Beautiful work.
This is beautiful! I love this style of watercolor! You mentioned a neutral brush vs. a juicy one..is a neutral brush a different kind of brush (like a different brand than the other you're using) or is it a brush that's not too wet or too dry that makes it neutral?
@@angelfehr well I love your painting style! I wish I lived close enough to you to learn from you! These videos help but an in person lesson would be out of this world!! Thank you for making these videos!!

Hi Angela, I just asked you a question on another video a few days ago. Part of which was about using some DaVinci paint. I was asking about how well Holbein and DS play with each other, and you responded a day or so ago. You said you hadn't worked with Da Vinci. Now you have. I had to laugh when I saw your wonderful.....accent on the wonderful, sponsor, Cheap Joe's.............His American Journey paint is made by and equal to Da Vinci Artist paint. It works wonders with Daniel Smith, is less expensive, but remains rich and juicy. They are the same quality. Da Vinci is a smaller company out of California. They produce their paint in small batches and can be thought of as handmade like DS. Thanks again!
I really really gain so much from watching you and I want to thank you so very much. I have the Linda Kemp video but I was so intimidated that I never really used it. When you did this painting I thought, now that is interesting and I went on to watch your negative painting of your autumn leaves. I still have the remodeling to deal with but I am getting a stroke in here and there and I'm planning my next course with you. Eventually I'd like to take them all. You really pack so much encouragement and skill into each demo and class that it's always a win/win, even when things go wrong...........
