- Hello Friends,
I was riding on 11th March 2019 from Bomdila to Tawang Arunachal Pradesh. I had doubt whether I would cross the SELA pass or not as some travellers who had returned from the Tawang to Bomdila was telling that there was a snow on the Sela pass.
luckily I was blessed with good and scenic weather and due to that I am presenting you my memories to all of you guys...
It was a tremendous and most beautiful journey I ever had in my life...Especially the scenic beauty which starts from Frozen Sela lake and then till JaswantGarh... It is a breathtaking movie-like view for me. As a biker one would definitely try this one as this will feed your soul certainly.
The road condition is quite good, all kudos goes to none other than our BRO! (Border Road Organization) because of them, we are connected to the remote places of India.

Arunanchal pradesh is really blessed and is one of the most beautiful states in India.
খুব ভালো লাগল ভাই। আমিও গিয়েছিলাম 1993 তে। তখন রাস্তা এতো ভালো ছিলনা। অনেক ধন্যবাদ ভাই। ভিডিও টি দেখে পুরান স্মৃতি মনে পরে গেল।
I have traveled extensively in this area back in the 90’s.....Bhalukpong- Seppa-Tenga- Bomdilla - Dirang - Shangrilla - Baisaki - Selapass - Jung - Tawang. I have yet to see more natural beauty in my lifetime. These places were clean, unexplored & not very commercial back then. I wish I could go back there & relive my memories but alas!.....the long travel to these places is too much for me now!
Yes I was too in all u mentioned the areas.also in Along and Zero (Roing)
Wow! Sarina ji, you still remember the route name shows that you must have lived the moment and I bet in 90's these places must be the remotest of India and you must have seen the core beauty, I can just imagine... and believe me these places still have those charm and serenity...I was lucky to go to Mechuka as well which were also amazingly beautiful town located in Arunachal, There is plenty of places to explore in North East, I wish one day I will again visit and explore those remotest and less travelled areas and to get to know the culture...

We boil snow for drinking, bathing, cooking etc. Tap water just become frozen. My fav thing to do is roast some rabbit meat on fire, sitting in tent looking at the stars. It's normal for us now to stay here. It is very cold here. There are snow leopards around my village.. I wish you all could come visit.

Main wahan par 3 mahine Raha aur bahut Kuch sikhne ko Mila, jannne ko Mila yahan k Lago ka Rahan sahan , and na Jane kitni stories..bahut Kuch batein bhi clear Jo sun rakhi thi ki jyada safe nahi Hain but as a solo rider mujhe har jagah Jahan bhi jaroorat padi help Mili, so yeah bahut Kuch Baki Hain explore karne ko, definitely will come back 🙂🙏

Then it's Perfect condition for March. This March I was thinking to travel from Mumbai to Guwahati (Train) then Guwahati-Bum La Pass (Bike)
Bro! It is really good to know that you are going... I would say go after second week of March on safer side... This year winter seems to be more... If you have more luggage then drop some of the luggage in Bomdila and go light... May be you know but thought to highlight you can go to the Bomdila from Guwahati via mangaldoi-bhairavkunda-kalakthang-Rupa route this is superb route and use by army... But for this route leave early as this route is all climbing up and takes good amount of time... If you need more information do ping me here.... Al the best bro! Good to know
