Definitely a topic I was looking forward to seeing a video on! Was jokingly expecting Steve to just show up as an example on every style listed with how much his movelist covers, but it was nice to see him get his own section instead. Looking forward to the kickboxing video next!
The great Thing about Boxing is that its the Definition of Styles make fights since the Three Styles of Boxing work like Rock, Paper, Scissors Boxer/Out-Fighter beats Brawler/Slugger Brawler/Slugger beats Swarmer/In-Fighter Swarmer/In-Fighter beats Boxer/Outfighter The Boxerpuncher as fourth Style has a special standing since he combines the Movements of an Outfighter (just not as agile) with the Power of a Brawler (but using more Combinations instead of single Punches)
Good video brotha, My favorite boxer in fighting games are actually Makoto Nanaya from BlazBlue, Akihiko Sanada from Persona 4 Arena and Dudley from the Street Fighter Series. On BBTAG Makoto and Akihiko were my mains for that game. And Makoto was my main for BlazBlue ChronoPhastma Extend.
Awesome vid brotha...you're absolutely right bout Steve..in fact he maybe the only boxer in the FG world that can blend in all 3 fighting styles...also Emmanuel Augustus was a innovative fighter with his Drunken Style that I enjoyed watching 😎👏
huh...i would have thought balrog would be a slugger, he is a big brute with heavy blows. i love this video, Boxers have always been my insta pick char in some fighting games. Vanessa, Dudley and Nelson (god i wish he was in kof15 T-T) are my all time favorites. (Makoto as well from blaze blue but not sure where she fall in.) Balrog could be one but i am complete ass when it comes to charge type chars.
Hey Blackmore, new-ish subscriber here, came across your channel. I'm a huge fan of fighting games and it got me into the fitness line and Martial Arts. Thanks for putting out such analytic vids of fighting styles, not many channels featuring it anywhere. Kinda surprised nobody has mentioned it by now (my core martial arts experience that I've most extensively trained in is Koryu Battou Jutsu), but the sword on the rack is actually completely upside down. The blade is resting on the scabbard, it will blunt more readily when stored that way. It should be stored edge facing up, the back if the blade rests against the scabbard. It also means you can grab it from the rack and draw it, into a smooth single draw & cut without any further manipulation of the whole thing. Just FYI...
I wanna make a suggestion for an honorable mention for out fighting Guile. Instead of long jabs to disrupt and counter punches to punish, He has his projectiles to disrupt and flash kick and long normals to whiff punish.

8:10 THATS MY BOY
Two other honorable mentions Mickey from Art of Fighting and Rick Stroud from real bout fatal fury 2
Awesome video 🥊.
Hope we get all of Hajime No Ippo.
Sad that we never really got Ashita No Joe over here in the 🇺🇸.
I loved this video. I wonder how would they implement a boxer into Virtua Fighter.
Man I love these types of videos because I only play fighting games that have atleast one boxer in them

I mentioned him being a Slugger aswell. He does a lot of in fighter stuff but leans towards Slugger more.
Awesome!
Which boxer fighting style is Makoto Nanaya does from the BlazBlue Series?
@@AAPGoku In fighter with some Slugger style in there due to some of her supers, but she heavily leans towards in-fighter.
@Blackmore2323 oh OK majority In Fighter with some Slugger. Thanks for the info.
Did you forget Barr Knuckle Boxing 🥊, or did you cover that in an earlier video?
That's gonna be covered in another video, with 52 hand blocks added to it. Urban reign characters covered
I'm surprised you never mentioned Gleam of Force 2. Every character has the option of being an in or out fighter.
First time I've ever heard of this game ngl. That sounds crazy interesting 🤔 👀.

boxing the fast food of martial arts.
I think you mean akido 🤣

Guile.

Guile uses MCMAP which is a blend of different Styles. Therefore I guess not so fitting for a Boxer Video
…Um Guile kicks.. Flash KICK??
