@Earl_VTEC Hey, I am looking to lower my Fl5, and I want to see how the drop on the H&R springs looks. Do you have Instagram or something else I can see what your drop looks like?
Hey man, I am deciding which spring for my fl5, and I can't find pictures with the H&R springs. Do you have Instagram or any way I can see how yours look?
@@johndiaz1469I ended up removing the springs and installing RSR coilovers. If I were to do it again I would go with Swifts. H&R doesn’t handle well when turning at high speeds
H&R lists a rear drop of .6" (15mm) but the rear of your car looks slammed - like the fender is even with the tire, which would suggest more than a 1" drop - factory height is 26.5" and the tire size is 25.25"...
I have spoon springs on my FL5 and find them to be a bit bouncy for my taste. Have you heard this from others and would be make sense to do the H&R springs instead to retain ride quality?
@@Earl_VTECYou've got to be kidding me, there's hardly much difference between the spring rates of Eibach pro kits and H&R. Both of those use progressive spring rates below that of the linear stock springs. Makes no sense if you care about handling as stock suffers from excessive dampening to reduce body roll since they used the same parts as the FK8 to reduce costs.
H&R on this car seems like a good option for those that want a slight drop but not hurt the ride quality much.
I have had the springs installed in my FL5 for almost a year and am very happy with them in everyday use
Exactly this!

I had H&R installed on my FL5 a few weeks ago as well. It was really stiff, but now that it has settled I really love it.

If its relevant for anyone the various spring rates:
Spoon front 5,5 back 5,0
Eibach front 4,5 back 4,1
H&R front4,4 back 4,7
OEM front 4,7 back 4,2

Spoon springs are made for racing. Therefore the softer springs help the tires stay on the road more than stiffer springs
@ so … Are you saying the H&R springs are the better choice overall?
Hi Tegiwa, please say what do you think.
How much increase CAI gruppe M vs Tegiwa Carbon
Civic Type R FN2.
Many thanks for advance.
whats the torque spec on the axle nut? You didnt remove it at first but ended up removing it.
The torque settings are in the description.
@@tegiwa Right, you have all the torque settings besides the axle nut.
@@vwmikeyouhooHi, sorry I missed that one off the list I gave to Tegiwa. It’s 328Nm
What wheel and tire spec are on the car?
They are a TSW Imatra 18x9.5 ET38 wrapped in a 265/35/18 Yokohama AD09. These are both available to buy at Tegiwa.com.
@@tegiwa just curious if 40series tires would fit with the set up you have now? Will rubbing be an issue?
@@kenallen394 We don't think it'd be an issue. There's still plenty of clearance in the arch!
Why not eibach ?
they're to soft for sporty feeling and i've you will drive a bigger spoiler
@@Earl_VTEC really mate? I have eibach on my fn2 and it's perfect.
There's no reason not to use Eibach, we just wanted to try H&R.

Looks like a Hyundai family car. Rather than a sporty hot hatch 🤮
