Storm Chase Reviews: May 6th HIGH Risk in Central Oklahoma

On May 6th of this year, an expected severe weather event necessitated the issuance of the first SPC High Risk in over a year. With a 30% risk of strong tornadoes, several potentially violent, everyone in the parameter space was quite nervous as the most prominent central Oklahoma tornado risk since May 24, 2011 was in place. Furthermore, this would be the first SPC High Risk I ever chased and easily the highest forecasted tornado risk I’d found myself in.
