Nice, Mark! You're batting 1.000 as far as I'm concerned. Great video and excellent solution to get more out this little jewel, the Nova Go SP1! Thank you for more valuable info!
Interesting how it won't work through an "electric" amp like my Roland MicroCube, but works great through my UltraSound acoustic amp. Love this guitar through the UltraSound that has 16 presets for acoustics. Just ordered one of the Vox Classics, even though! Thanks, Mark.
Yes, it’s a little like my mixed results trying headphone amps. The Vox classic rock worked great but the other one from Donner/Lekato was noise city. Totally unusable.
Thanks Mark! Nice solution to the issue that we didn't get with earlier reviews that said we would get effects. I like the guitar and this helps a lot! One more question - what portable speaker would you use to plug the vox into if you are traveling and want to let others to hear it. Thank you again!
I have a little round Sony speaker ( around 6” tall 3-4” wide) has great bass response. Has a 3.5mm input (same size as headphone jack on the Vox. It could fit in the guitar case if need be. Speaker also has bluetooth for connecting to my phone. Hi Mark, thank you for putting these videos together. I’ve been looking into this guitar for travel and your videos are very helpful. When you’re using the Nova with the Vox headphone amp, does the Nova have to be powered on?
As soon as you plug the Vox headphone amp into the guitar, the guitar automatically turns on. In the same way as if you plugged a guitar cable in when going to a regular amplifier.
That’s excellent. One thing I was worried about with this guitar was the battery, because I haven’t found any information showing that it’s replaceable.
Thanks for this! Received my Nova go this week and experimenting with it. Really cool. This vox classic rock is very interesting, clean sound. I see they have the Vox Metal sound, would like to have a sound similar to metallica etc, have you ever tried it? Maybe it wouldnt work like the other black amp you show in the video. 🤔
As mentioned, you’ll never get a proper metal sound because any amp will put distortion on top of acoustic sound. But hey, you can always experiment and report back. Thanks for watching! 😉
I finally didnt Do it, I finally only Enjoy the guitar as is, acoustic with the effects.I like it like that, and when I feel like playing some metal, I just take my other Electric guitar 🙂
So far the Vox seems to be the only one it sounds good with. Just the Classic Rock addition. Any metal style ones seem to cause too much feedback. I’m going to be doing a review on the Zoom A1 four soon. It has some great effects in it. So stay tuned.
Yes and no. Sometimes fiddling around with electronics can take away from actually music/playing technique. The guitar is beginner player friendly though.

According to Enya the battery is easily replaced but they suggest it shouldn’t require changing for a long time. Fingers crossed. 😬

so what happened? did you try it?
Update: Did it myself and it sounded terrible. It picked up every sound even from the background, would NOT recommend it.
I finally didnt Do it, I finally only Enjoy the guitar as is, acoustic with the effects.I like it like that, and when I feel like playing some metal, I just take my other Electric guitar 🙂
How comfortable is it to play? Is the fret board normal sized or is it smaller and more narrow like an electric guitar?
Neck is somewhere in between. I find it very easy to play. I’m 5ft 11” tall so not a small person. If that helps?
@@NowYouKnow007 yes it does! Thank you
Would this work through a blackstar amplug?

Thanks for watching, from India. :-)
can I use the mobile app to record and mix on my phone?
would you recommend this guitar for a beginner?
Yes and no. Sometimes fiddling around with electronics can take away from actually music/playing technique. The guitar is beginner player friendly though.
Show us how to hook it up to a external amplifier 🎉 geez
You can hook it up to a regular guitar amplifier the same way as you would an electric guitar.
Does vox metal good?
Not so good. Nothing like an electric guitar
