Miami alum here. We blew our shot when we blew that 21-0 lead at Syracuse. We wasted a generational QB in Cam Ward with an atrocious defense. But Bama has no business being in either. Two BAD losses to .500 teams. Now hoping Clemson beats SMU, so Bama gets bumped and the ACC gets two teams in. Unless of course, the committee drops SMU below Bama, which knowing the committee, they'll likely do.

Bama's SOS and wins vs ranked opponents is because over rated crappy SEC teams like Mizzou, Ole Miss and Texas A&M get placed in the top of the rankings every year just because they are SEC and when they lose to teams they have no business losing to if they were that good the media still fights hard to keep these teams ranked for SEC SOS. It’s not just about who Alabama lost to, but who the Crimson Tide beat. Bama has wins over Georgia, South Carolina, Mizzou, and LSU. Miami lost to Georgia Tech and Syracuse. The Canes barely beat Virginia Tech, California, and Louisville. They could easily have a 7-5 record.
