Many thanks for the video, can’t understand why you need a cuff with this if it reads your BP throughout 24 hours without the cuff ? Do I need to use the cuff or keep it on ? Thx
The cuff is used to calibrate the blood pressure monitor, and it is a question that I asked in the 2-week review. I am hoping that their next version will not require this calibration, but I find mine very useful. Inconvenient to recalibrate every month, but it is still an amazing piece of kit.
The wrist sensor is not "measuring" blood pressure it is approximating it using a signal from the seismography. Best most accurate way to MEASURE blood pressure is by putting an arterial line in someone but that's not practical in this situation!!
Great video. It is a good product. I have been using it, had already needed replacement unit. Shame it's not sweat or water proof. I am sure in 2024 they could it. For the current price it should be sweat and water proof.
Virtually every instrument needs to be periodically calibrated. Aktiia is promising and can be useful to monitor BP for medical purposes. But it will not report ambulatory BP while active or exercising. The Galaxy 4 is also promising, especially if it is frequently calibrated. But it too needs further refinement. I'm waiting for a YHE BP Doctor Med which I hope will. enable me to manage my BP while I'm actively engaged in a sport.
Hi, you will need to download the app from the App Store. It is through the app that you can configure the Aktiia cuffless monitor. Let me know if I can be of any further help.
All Photoballistic Blood Pressure Monitors need to be calibrated regularly e.g. Galaxy Watch 3 and up. Reason is probably change in blood viscosity / composition... but I'm a lawyer not a scientist 😉
Thanks for your video. Does the wrist band requires Bluetooth all the time? I do not like turning on Bluetooth on my phone for privacy reasons.

Can I use the apps in multiple phones? I want to buy one for my dad to monitor BP and also be able to see his BP when I'm across the world from him
This is the best review I have ever come across as I am looking forward to receive my order
do you have to wear the cuff all the time ??
no. once a month

Do you have a new update?
Hi Jose, I did an update having used it for 2 weeks, here it is: ua-cam.com/video/u468aWOvAHY/v-deo.html
Thank you for your review. Are you still happy with the device after 6 months?

Thanks for visiting the channel Dani. I suppose better technology is required for this regular calibration not to happen.😄
@@HeartoftheMatter I am also waiting for a "food replicator" like on Startrek ;-) Not going to happen anytime soon.
