I have become a fan of this recipe. I’ve made it again today (have made it 4-5 times before) and slowly getting a hang of the browning. It’s my go-to cabbage recipe now because it’s so simple yet so delicious. I was also wondering if it’s easier to achieve the browning if I wasn’t using a non-stick pan? Thank you again Bumbi. I really like following your recipes because they’re so simple yet detailed enough for noob cooks like me.

Wow Bombi! I made this with your chicken coriander, both superb! Had no coriander seed so used powdered for the chicken, and used fennel for the cabbage, to which I added some spinach leaves I needed to use, served over rice, what a delight!!!

Yesterday I made the fish curry from your channel (the one with eggplant) and today this cabbage fry…. Both were delicious! I think I finally found a cooking channel as per my taste. Regarding the cabbage I realised I do not need to cut them super fine ( my grand mother boasts her fine cabbage and ‘shaak’ chopping skills till date, which always motivated me to hone this skill 😀). But this recipe will taste much better if the cabbage is chopped a little rougher. But overall, the dish turned super good. Thank you once again 😊
It was also super fast!!!! I had a Deep brand Chicken Curry frozen dinner. It had ZERO vegetables, just chicken and rice and sauce. :( So I made your dish with cabbage, carrots and broccoli and ate it with the frozen meal. So healthy and tasty!!! AND you are funny, too! Sometimes I also add julienne green and red bell peppers - just for the extra colors and flavors and if I don't add the peas I leave it a little crunchy. Makes a side dish.

It has stopped snowing here. Freezing cold is not fun at all. Have you seen my khichuri video? It is such a warming dish. Regarding pani puri, I would recommend you to “Food With Chetna” channel. She uploaded a wonderful video on it few days back.

I just found your channel - love it, and just subscribed. One question, when you say "oil", can you recommend a healthy oil option? I typically use olive oil, but since it's smoke point is low, is it OK to use ghee or butter? I stay away from any refined or processed oils. Thanks!
Welcome 🙏🏾, I am glad you are here. Even I use olive oil frequently but not extra virgin but pure olive oil. As long as we are not using it for deep frying I guess it’s okay as long as it is not extra virgin. You can even use avocado oil or cold pressed sunflower oil. Peanut oil is also good and so is coconut oil. Hope this helps.

What's the difference between black mustard seeds and white mustard seeds in flavor? I used to have black mustard but the jar broke and we had to toss them because they were mixed with the glass and now I can only find white mustard seeds in my local stores
Black mustard seeds are more sharper and pungent in terms of flavor but you can definitely use yellow mustard instead. You will get black/brown mustard seeds on Amazon.

This was good, but I felt the need to add some spices, such as garlic powder, garam masala and even some, dare I say it, curry powder, which I know does not exist in Indian cuisine. 😅
