“Some of it may seem offensive, but almost all of it is designed to piss you off and make you feel like you can’t move forward when you feel like” This was so eye-opening, because that’s exactly what it felt like when I played against somebody and just kept getting hit out of seemingly nowhere. Great video
Juicebox, you are the savior of new players, thank you so much for your work for the community. I was just looking how to get better at neutral, and this video explains a lot of it perfectly. We don't deserve your hard work but we need it
Man I just started going back and watching your 'footsies' videos again. Good to see you posting again. Your content is really interesting and enlightening.
I think the only issue with 14 is the invincible backdash and roll being in the same game. Creates a lot of cat & mouse. Old titles didn't have this, rolls were way more vulnerable. They should have used 13's EX instead of '02's Max Mode. You're forced to confirm in a very specific way just to swag.
It's been a long time since you posted. And I play with Rock and his jumping light kick is probably the most horizontal normal in the game. Nice tips for noobs like me. I've seen your vidoes and that's what got me a little confidence to go against other players better than me. And can you please give tips on how to do play KOF with a keyboard? SF is easy on keyboard but its hard to play a fast paced game like KOF with a keyboard.
Yasir Shah As a keyboard noob myself the only "tip" for playing is to have up/jump on spacebar with left/down/right on a/s/d. Personally I use a/lp on u, c/hp on i, b/lk on j, and d/hk on k. I also have shortcut for a+b/roll on o, and c+d/blowback on L. General button layout recomendations suggest not having all of your attacks in a straight line which I also agree with since you'll use all buttons a lot and little fingers are weak.
TheKeaver movement keys are not a problem. The problem is A+C, B+D, and B+C. I also need the Max mode to pull off big combos. I'm good on PS4 but I've recently started to play in PC and I'm the baddest KOF PC player in the history. I can't remember the buttons. Like, I mix up A+C and B+D very often. It makes me rage.
Yasir Shah Well whenever someone switches to a different controller style or even button layout it takes a lot of time to re-learn how to play again. I don't think there are really any tips for that tbh. From my experience having my punch buttons and kick buttons side by side makes my a+c and b+d inputs very easy. You could always map b+c to a shortcut too, nothing wrong with that.
Yo Juicebox, hey man love your content and tutorials. Anyway you can help me out or maybe even make a video about walking+running throws and mix up game with KOF XIV? I'm having trouble doing some stuff i used to do in kof xiii. Like when i try to play offensive and say i do a jumping (x) button and then go for mix up game between a throw or a low attack is kind of hard since i feel like the walking speed is different or is it just me.. making a throws or throws mix ups video would help me a lot. Thanks for the content and keep up the good work
hi man first congrats for your videos i like them a lot, i don't know if you are still playing the updated version of Kof 14 i just want to know if you can share a couple of tips to counter shunei personally I having bad time playing against that character jumps, normals and EX movements has a very good damage with one bar... thank you and cheers!
Hey i see all your videos you are awesome, im learning Kof XIII by seeing your videos. i have a channel focused in fighting games can you give me an advice to grow up in youtube?
Top notch commentary and analysis! Too bad it’s so cringe to watch cuz of all the dropped combos these guys are obviously not kof players but general fighting game players who probably main other games
I want to suggest a rule in KOF tournaments. You should not be able to use the same characters every round. Like put a cool down on ever character. It must depend on how often are characters used. But I'm damn sure that Iori and Benimaru should get a 3 game cool down cause they're being used everywhere.
Hagrid at least it will make things interesting. The game has more than 50 characters and all we see is Iori, Benimaru, Nakoruru, Leona and Kyo being used all the time. It kinda make things boring. And players who participate in tournaments would be challenging themselves instead of the other player. It will make things interesting. Do you remember KOF XIII in which EX Iori, Kim, Chin and Duo Lon were used all the time? I'm going to be honest. Watching the same characters every game kinda makes things boring. This is something that won't only grab attention but it will also put the players to the test.
Benimaru: "Alright, i'm going to jump over there. And on my way, i'm going to be kicking my leg like this. And if you get hit, it's your OWN fault."

TheKeaver thanks for the guidance. I'll definitely try it.
As a former keyboard, consider Hitbox.

That's a terrible rule.

In KOF XIII Duo Lon does take work to play and win.. compared to ex iori and other top tiers characters
Geese backdash is godlike and beyond that his far.D is great and if you think your opponent is gettin PREDICTABO yeah boi time to have some fun.
