Back in 88' I (Doug Smith) started a band called "roadside fatality" with Colin Smith(no relation) and the brothers Steve & Glen Mcknight, we were all 17 except Glen who was 16, it was a kinda thrash/punk metal thing, we played a few show in San Diego, and after 6 months or so the band broke up. Steve and I started playing with Julian Najor and Sean Gudmundson, we never played any shows and that band broke up. Steve and I got hooked on meth and kinda dropped out of society for a few years there lol, Sean and Jules started a Death Metal band called Damnation that did pretty well. In about 92' AJ Magana(16yrs) and I (22yrs) started a thrash metal band called shedim, (Hebrew word for demons) they (Aj and the bass player)were in to death metal and one of their favorite bands was Damnation so they were stoked to meet Sean and Jules lol. back then Aj was a drummer, I played guitar/vocals don't remember anything about the bass player except he had red hair and sucked out loud...literally lol, the band broke up, and later Damnation broke up too. Sean, Jules, and Steve started a Jimmy Hendrix tribute band called EXP that played the San Diego bar scene. Aj played in a few more bands as a drummer and then did Vocals for a band I can't remember the name of and then joined Disgorge. After EXP broke Julian Najor got hooked on meth and did some time, now he's lost somewhere in the ether, Sean Gudmundson works at Applebee's as a cook, Steve Mcknight is a Manager at Home Depo, Colin Smith still plays in a band with his wife Monica Sierras called pentagrams and daisies (kinda of a bar band for San Diego/LA area) Glen Mcknight is unemployed with 2 kids and a wife that left him for chick and he is a total cock holster, Me I became a welder and after 15 years using meth, I finally got off meth and I have 15 years clean, Now I'm just a pothead youtuber with nothing going on, And just a few years ago Aj went to school to become a paramedic , but has moved on to start his own business.......Man we all had some good times, did lots of drugs, and got lots of pussy, and I mean LOTS OF PUSSY....what a crazy life its been, a few of have kids Me, Aj, Colin and Glen, but I'm the only one with fuck'en grand kids lol(at 45yrs), and if you're old enough and grew up in San Diego, yes! I am the same Doug Smith that beat up two teachers(Mr. Griffith and Mr. Tatro) at Avocado elementary back in 83' when I was a 5th grader, I'm a savage fighter lol(I had some anger issues)lol, had a bit of fame because of that, and a criminal record at age 11 lol.................. and here's some inside info: Aj is my cousin and his real name is Ansan, sounds like: ON SONE, so there is some San Diego metal history for you fuckers! lol KEEP ON ROCK'EN!

Whattap doug, the band before this was deprecated. Just released another repressing. Pretty stoked for a self released ep. the spelling is more Arabic (post 9/11-thanks mom and dad I’m not even Arabic I just get all the benefits whilst flying) -Ahnsaan -which is why my 3rd grade teacher dubbed me AJ

Believe it trust me I’ve done it many a time on the street raw and live when fans would ask if I used a pitch shifter. We had no hired sound guy nor did I use a pedal watch my performance and you’ll never see me looking for a pedal

To me personally there's Brutal Death Metal in the vein of bands such as Hate Eternal, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Nile and Cannibal Corpse. And then there's Brutal Slam Death Metal. Bands such as Defeated Sanity, Disentomb, Abominable Putridity, Devourment etc. The point is that there's two different styles of Brutal Death Metal. Basically one style with Slams and the other style without. I consider Disgorge a Brutal/Technical/Slam Death Metal band since just about every song they wrote has a slam
